Thread: Update and Cantina Gossip from the Corr Summit
/gentlehug Kwee (I know you're resigning, but you've been a great correspondant for the Image Designers and you've often made the forums a much calmer place with your presence.

If you do still have hope, how would you like to see the Correspondent System revamped to work better for you? What could we do better that would make you happier? Having no Correspondents and having the Devs deal with each community would lead to under chaos and unfocused issues. And having the Devs post everything they come up with in public forums would cause even more Chaos when they discover something was wrong or misleading (we've all seen that happen before and the serious negativity it lead to)...Seriously...how would you fix the Correspondent System...I'm happy to make sure the Devs see your ideas as long as they are realistic and not flaming.
Sorry wanted to send this to you as a PM but you have me on ignore so;
If you were serious here is really what I'd like to see changed....
I'd like for there to be two basic forums. One a read only (for us lesser account holders) correspondent forum where you guys discuss our actual issues (the things that pertain directly to what we come up with in those top five lists etc). Basically the hidden stuff that we are always told about but don't really ever get proof exists. The back and forth bewteen the corrs and the stuff the devs respond with. Be it wait, is coming or won't be done... etc.
Then they could make a private forum that is dev post only similar to the in concept forum here.. they would be able to post those things you guys need to proof read, exploit submissions etc.... The stuff better not seen by the majority. You could respond but not post threads.
We should get a vote of confidence for our reps every few months (or even month). A simple anonymous poll that would get unpopular and unwanted correspondents out and new blood in as the communities desired.
Lastly I would aslo ask a minimum of one post per community per month by a dev into that communities forum. Doesn't have to be a wizard of oz/god post fixing everything just a response to the most important discussion topic for the month.... Even if it is "wait for CB".
Thanks for you time. ![]()
No, he doesn't. Why do people say this all the time? You know that the little "Devs may not respond and if you are on this person's ignore list blah blah blah" warning is up for all PMs, right?

.... why do entertainer missions only pay a couplehundered credits?
Because they don't think we need money. I disagree 100% for exactly the reason you said. We need people. Period.
If we are ever going to be a real Playstyle option, we need to be able to make just as much money as Combat and Crafting. Put in a drain as clothes decay, make us rent out a "station" in the NPC Cantinas, whatever... economy is fun and part of the game. We should not be excluded from that gameplay.
What defines game payout worth? What defines effort? It's only a game mechanic, that's all. There is no reason why we shouldn't earn just as much in Entertainer Missionsas Combat Players do in Destroy Missions.
Sure, we have no cost... but we pay for it with no game.
(Even better would be Cantina games that all could play, but we could earn a comparable living doing. I see no reason to keep the mission system if it is never going to be made a fun activity or a useful distribution tool for Ent Healing *shrug*)

I said it because there was no option to submit/post the PM message to garvin.

Maybe this is a weird Lithium bug. I know I've never had anybody on ignore and people say this to me sometimes. I even go check to make sure I didn't like accidentally click on ignore when looking at their other posts.
I'll ask the Mods if they know.

I understand your concerns. And I have to say that a couple of them are exactly what we would all like to see changed.
I do have to say however that the current plan of keeping some information silent till it's more concrete is of utmost importance. I've seen hundreds of forum users scream bloody murder when something that was proposed as a posibility wasn't carried out in reality to the letter.
Incidentally you can see how well you are being represented every time one of us makes a post.

What a simple, yet telling statement, Panthu . . . /sigh
BTW, I do hope your grandmother and pup are doing better - and that you are too! /comfort
Instead I'll say Panthu is doing an amazing job, Garvin posts some amazing posts, voting for our Corrs is a silly idea, and I refuse to feed the trolls!
Thank you and good night!
