Thread: I'm so unspeakably frustrated. Beyond all comprehension.

First: I love you guys for the support. Thank you.

Second: Do not turn my thread into a flame war on our correspondent. I have been acquainted with Deila for a long time, she is solidly anti-AFK, and anyone who does not believe that doesn't remember what her posts were like pre-correspondent. Keep in mind guys, she's much more limited now on what she can say. Whether it's accurate or not, people are going to view her as a voice of SOE, and take everything she says absolutely literally, so she has to be much more careful about her posts. But if any of you think she's not doing her job, you are flat-out wrong. And if you must voice that opinion, don't do it in this thread. It's the wrong place, the wrong time, andI find it totally inappropriate. You know who you are, and I ask that you stop.

Third: I <3 Virrago. He is awesome.

Fourth: I have no immediate plans to leave the game, although I have been playing Worlds of Warcraft some lately. This game has been my 'home' for the last year and a half, and I have a very hard time breaking ties and pulling up roots that deep. I am considering dropping dancer... it would allow me to juggle my skill points a little more effectively and I might actually be able to have an entirely combat character. I'm still thinking about it.

Fifth: There was a post earlier in this thread that said something about "wait until you get confronted by someone who thinks you shouldn't be trying to earn a living as a dancer." To you, I say: here... and here. I've posted these before, but as you can see, I have been confronted by a player who told me pretty much the exact same thing. He actually accused ME of infringing on buffbots' income. To all of you who believe THAT... I have only one thing to say:

Boo. Frigging. Hoo.

Like my mother says: Too bad so sad!

sorry to see you are thinking of leaving dancer behind. I've only been a part time dancer, and I still have seen this kind of abuse. doesn't make me want to go to a cantina more.

But then I dropped novice medic for a few more dances!

I think the moral of the story is, no player should ever feel that a dancer has "a place" and they need to "learn it" since they're a "whore." That attitude shouldn't be in this game in the first place. We are worth nothing to some folks, and they don't care about telling us so. If we don't have combat skills, I guess we just stand there and take it.

No hon, the moral of the story was if somone harasses you, friggin report the jerk for harassment.

NO ONE deserves to be treated like that. PERIOD.

Go into your holocron with ctrl H and click 'report a harassment'. Once you do that, the chat log is saved up to 10 minuites past and it's sent to the CSR office. You don't HAVE to wait for a CSR, it get's put into a queue of open issues and they deal with it in the order it was recieved.

Fusch, I know excatly how ya feel hun, and I've been wondering the same thing lately, why keep a profession when their is no respect being handed out by most players, sure Bria has a vast amount of live entertainers to laugh, take part in events, etc etc. but that doesn't mean we as enertainers should be all on 1 server to enjoy this type of interaction with ppl, some ppl just don't care for the ATK ents, and it's a shame to see ppl leave the game for this issue in which the devs/csr's are not acting upon this situation much faster & soonerthen they currently are/have been.

What some new flo's are gonna make us forget the countless other things that are broken in the ent professions....not likely. The mosre of us that quit the profession or the game in general, the more bots that pop up.

I'll wait things out a bit longer, till I know for sure, maybe just maybe the CU will help some..I doubt it, but we'll see for sure.

I may be wrong about this Va-Mei, but I think Fuschia is more concerned about the way all entertainers are being treated by the people coming into the cantina wanting buffs.

I know that when I played as Sal'tee or one of my other entertainer characters I just automatically did my best to take care of the combat types as they came through the door. When they threw out an invite or asked if they could join the group I just did that for them no questions asked. Other players though, like Fuschia, take it personally when they are treated like an it instead of another player.

Whether or not you can let it go or work around it, it's a major problem. This is happening on every server with more and more regularity. New players are basically being taught to see the role of entertainer as NPC. Vet players are numbing to live entertainers and choosing to use bots for entertainment as they can avoid all player to player interaction.

What I would like to know is, where are our correspondents? What is happening between them and the developers... What issues are being discussed and considered?

good question quite honestly me and another entertainer who recently cancelled because of all the bull have lost complete faith in the correspondentss at this pint i only have swg to spend time with friends who still play and as soon as i can kidnap them all to wow ill be hitting the cancell button

No, those screenshots are a couple of months old, I was just posting them to show that I have been told some pretty outrageous things by combat players who think I'm only here to serve them.

Just to reinforce some of thepoints presented here already, let me tell you what just happened to me.

I entered the Theed cantina with my Master Dancer tag up. I walked past the only bot in the room (at the moment) and began to craft a few items about 10m away from him.

While standing there, I had two of the four players in the bot group look directly at me. One says "i love enterteiner buff bots." (Yes, the spelling is correct. This is coming from a player named 'Jusstice Follower.' Ingame spell-check, anybody?)

He then proceeds to repeat the line once more.

Another, not grouped, chimes in with "bots need love 2 lol."

Next, MetinHat, another grouped with Kynson, says "WOOT !! For the Bots !!!!"

I did not provoke these players. The first two I had never seen before. I simply entered the room with a Master Dancer tag up.

The amount of disrespect we are shown on a daily basis on this server is disgusting.

And to think that I had just spoken with a gentleman a few moments before that had promised to look me up for the next buff, because he appreciated the service, the hotpants, and the conversation.

From a positive cantina experienceto a negative onein a few short minutes....

(I promptly added both to my ignore list and exited the cantina, so I can't be sure of what they continued to say after that brief encounter. I'm not sure that I would like to know.)

I think the bots need love too. Perhaps we can get new ID effects so that my T-21 can fire energy bolts shaped like hearts into them.... Ah well. Take heart in knowing that these dorks will wind up on the wrong end of a DOT fire and no buff bot will be able to save them <evilgrin>

Some of us respect you guys

I couldn't wear my master smuggler tag in any major city, or on the planet of Dantooine without getting /tells demanding slices. I recently dropped the slicing tree for the same reason. The abuse (while not as bad as this, this is sinful) was just too much to take. It's shameful that these people don't grasp the concept that this is a game of community, not Doom3.

Aww Fushia sucks to hear you so disheartened. *hugs*

Reading your post I realized it's been well over a month before I just went to a cantina and started dancing, period. The only reason I go to a cantina now is at request (loyal patrons, yay!) or to meet other dancer ent friends.I used to head there every day I logged in without fail, but I am over the guilt of it.

Ido my own thing now, I am done arguingand or defendinghow I spend my game time. I finally dropped my other broken profession (pistol) and picked up tk so I could go fight things solo if the mood struck. I have been having a great time fighting and somehow dancing has turned into my "play" thing again. I am keeping dance for now because I still enjoy dancing....but I am no longer bound to the cantina. It feels nice.
