Thread: Sorry to burst your bubble.

Wow, you didn't even clearly state what you were saying and now you're trying to turn it around on me as if you don't know how I came to that conclusion. You yourself said you had re-read your own post and realized that you didn't state what you were talking about. Don't try editing posts as an insult. The proof that you were the reason I came to that conclusion is right there in your many edits.
II had to go to work....But when I got home, this was a good laugh waiting for me...
Those edits never changed what I was saying, it was all spelling or gramatical errors....
As for you, your reading comprehension is sevearly lacking...I explainedthe timer conceptto you three times,*everyone* else who read the thread was able to digest the information without it being mapped out for them, except for you.
Again, you need to slow down and read more carefully....I could see it in the begining of the thread when you tried to argue with me about the "vocal minority"....You *do not* read other peoples full post, you skim them and then you go off....At least 4 times in this thread your replies showed that you had no idea what the person wrote...And not just about the timer either.
Edit: I did just take out the last lineof this....![]()
But I wanted to point out that all my posts, were edited and done *before* you made your posts...The original concept post was edited 1 hour before your post and not touched...Nothing changed, you just did not read it...

This vocal minority does not represent the large number of players who will quit when this goes into effect. (quote phoenixStar)
Your first post...You are for all intents and purposes calling anyone on the dancer board who defends this the "vocal minority"
Most people I know love this change...As far as *I* can see, we are the silent majority, but of course, that is an assupmtion that I would never use...Using assumptions like "vocal minority" in your arguments only shows a extreamly "weak" stance from which your basing your arguments off of...(quote Taewyn)
My first post in reply to yours, in which, I clearly state that me saying anything about the supposed majority is an "assumption"...And that you should not use "assumption" based arguments, that is all, I said nothing about the board to game ratio....
Are you new to MMOs? It's proven fact that the number of players in any online game does not even come close to representing the whole that play said game. So in reality not even 1/3 of the players post on the forums, that's just plain fact not an assumption (quote PhoenixStar)
Your reply to me afterwords....Which again, you obviously did not read what I wrote and instead try to insult/lecture me of board to community ratio...Can you see where my frustration comes from?
- MMO's by their foundation are popular because of the "social" aspect that stems from them..The ability to display your acomplishments, "help" other players or socially interact are what set an MMO apart. AFKing destroys that aspect, there by rendering the game into a state where its numerous game play flaws can be seen.
- Single players games have superior stories, world to character interaction, graphics and game play....MMO's *main* "trump" card over them is the social interaction, as stated above, if that is not present, it destroys game.
- AFK services are extreamly poor for the economy and whichever "class" is trying to actively offer that service will suffer...Much like a product a service can be "saturated" into the market to the point that no one actively seeks that service. The AFK buff bots have "saturated" the dancers valuable service, rendering anyone ATK useless.
- Bypassing "content" will shorten a players gaming time...If the player does not have to "work through" for his accomplishments he will eventually reach the end with no gratification...If no work has to be done, then even players who did not bypass the content will feel diminished. Quite simply they will feel like "suckers" for taking the long road, instead of the easy way....Again, it destroys the game on another level for them.
There are more.....
Edit: just some spelling mistakes ![]()

1) No you don't know what an in-game poll would show unless you're a mind reader.
/sigh Which is what I have been trying to tell you since the begining.....I do not know if you ment too, but in the begining of this post you "labeled" any who spoke out *for* this change as the minority...You did not say *everyone* on the boards was the minoirty...I was originally point out your discrepency *nothing more*
2) Maybe you should learn to read. EVERYONE on the forums represents a vocal minority. Vocal because we're posting here to speak out about our opinions, minority because we don't come close to representing even 1/4 of the playerbase.
Read what I wrote above..Then relize, you have not been reading *anything*...You jumped on this issue, even though I had only originally clarfied your point...I said *nothing* about who the true majority is...Again, please slow down and read...
3) You have no point outside of the fact that you hate buff bots. *yawn*

It's your choice to socialize or not. Those of us in the cantina right now ARE socializing so you're wrong.

Social interaction is up to each person, all you have to do is type and hit enter. You choose not to just because you see some bots but there are quite a few live players around you talking in group chat. *gasp*

There is NO entertainer economy. Entertainers have always and always will be considered and treated as the bottom of the barrel as far as getting tipped or paid goes. Buff bots didn't cause that, before the rise of the machines there were many MANY cries from all entertainers about not getting any form of payment for anything. This you will just have to get over because it's always been like that. ALWAYS. If you say it hasn't then you seriously have not been paying attention. There has never been a time when it hasn't been this way. These buff bots did not cause that.

Hello, it's already short always has been, it's just repetative and that's why people use macros. They aren't bypassing anything but tedious grinding which after you've done the same thing 100 times in a row it is definately going to feel like a grind. You didn't work for jack, sorry if you feel like you did something amazing by tapping a few buttons, but you didn't. The only thing looping macros do is let you free up your hands to chat, basically the game forces you to act like a bot hitting buttons in a certain order to gain a new skill. The macro is doing nothing different. No exploit or cheat. It's what you'd be doing without it, but SOE added it and it doesn't hurt anyone. If you feel like a sucker...well you had a system you could use, if you chose not to that's your business. If you had fun then it was a good thing, don't let your jealousy blind you?
There are more.....
I can't wait.

Wrong again, sweetie pie. Before the buffbots came en masse into the Cantinas, I made a crapload selling buffs.
I find that hard to believe since you are having so much trouble now and there are hardly any buff bots in public cantinas. If you could do it then, you can do it now, you need to try harder. I did it two hours ago...

Doesn't matter whether you believe it or not, it's true.
Well I did it two hours ago with no advertising, so it's untrue that you can't now because you can waltz right into a cantina and do it too. You choose not to. You run away because you see a few afkers who aren't even buffing anyone. You may see one buff bot, big deal. Try talking and having a conversation, then casually ask if they'd like a free buff, soon your name will get around and people will come to you in large numbers also providing a tip. That's business. You're not going to get it all at once just standing around or begging people to come get a buff from you when they don't even know you.
