Dancer Archive
Thread: Top 5 issues You have with our profession.
1. Buff timer or system message saying when the buff is done.
2. Decent paying + fun missions.
3. More flourishes for Exotic. I'm so tired of that shimmy one.
4. My dream is to be able just to ignore people's /say in their macro. Watching "Welcome to the Cantina! Blah blah blah!" every 5 minutes it the worst thing ever.
Also, I like falling, I think it's funny.
piss off, i was talking to the other chick and you know it.
and dancing is 1 keystroke easy, even a casual player can get a few boxes in an afternoon.
Meeuki, do you need a hug? *hugs* Poor, poor angry person. I'd give you a cookie but I can't get it to you through the forum ![]()
1. The ability to /deny service to a certain faction.
2. BF healing in camps.
3. Falling down at Master.
4. Buff ourselves
5. New abilities for us, so we aren't always forced to be in a Cantina.,like being able to captivate a mob to slow it's hits down or something. Just anything to put some dancers who chose to go out, something to do out there.

?!!? are you people on CRACK?! our entire profession can be mastered in 2 weeks *without* afk macroing and you are complaining about experience costs? holy god!
TWO WEEKS BY WHO'S PLAY STANDARD?!?!?! If I get 10 hours of game time a week and I tried to make *JUST* master Dance, I'll be lucky to get there by Valentines day. As it is, though, I need to spread myself out a little more, because I enjoy doing other things *BESIDES* dancing in the game.

Not trying to argue with you, really, I wasn't even complaining, not really. Just stating how amazed I am at the experience needed for Dancing 4 comparied to Dancing 3 and Novice Dancer. It seems "out-of-wack" to me that it would go from:
Dancing 3: 15k exp needed.
Dancing 4: 45k exp needed.
Novice Dancer: 50k exp needed.
If you look at some of the other professions, the exp. needed as you go up a skill tree is a little more... leveled. It doesn't just have this amazing jump, then a small one.
Basically, to me, you work to get that Novice Elite Profession, and the hardest amount of experience points is the Novice Elite Profession. When you finally hear that "ding" saying that you've done it, it should feel amazingly rewarding, something that you haven't suceeded in before.
But when it only takes 5k more experience points to reach a Novice Elite Profession than it did the top skill in the tree just before the Novice Elite Profession... I don't know... doens't feel as rewarding. Basically *shrug* you've done it before, only 5k experience points less.

*Ding!*
Smart gal! Anyways.... here's my number 6:
I wanna' get FP for dancing Overt and healing other Overts. If I'm gonna' dance in a Cantina with that little Imperial logo floating over my head and put myself in harms way, I think I deserve the FP (not massive amounts... but at least a decent handful of FP for each overt that walks in), and possibly even a slightly larger buff to them.
Since I chose a faction early on in the game, I've almost always danced in an Imperial town, and I found that quite often, when an overt combatant comes in, and sees me overt, he appreciates it. I've even noticed somwhat bigger tips when overt cause the good roleplayers think it's gutsy of me to put myself in danger that way... which it is.
Whatcha' think?
I did that once Kalia, then 3 Rebels walked in, slaughtered me, and then gloated about killing a Dancer <sigh>. At any rate...
1) Fix the large area dances like Lyrical and Formal. They look all jumpy and horrible whenwe aren't flourishing. I like the idea above to confine them to a certain area by making you return to the starting spot when you're done with the flourish.
2) Complete all the flourishes for our dances, please! Having dances without a full 8 flourishes, most notably Exotic, stinks. We need that extra variety to make the dance look interesting.
3) Lower the Action cost for our "special" effects on the Techniques tree. They cost way too much considering they give no bonuses, and don't give a healing effect. Lower them down to flourish lvl Action costs, and give them a healing effect with a value slightly lower than a normal flourish and they'd be set.
4) Give our buff a percentage meter when we click on the person so we know how much longer we have until it is maxed. Sometimes I get so caught up in conversation I lose track of how far along I am in buffing someone, and I hate asking them to stay longer than they want to. If you could add a windowed list of who is watching us at the same time, that would be great. ![]()
5) Finally, fix the AFK lamers. They make the entire Entertainer community look bad, and it almost completely kills any chance we have of earning the respect of other players for our services. Make the auto-AFKpermanent and not an option anymore. After 20-30 min either log the person off, or make it so they no longer gain exp and can't be tipped.
1. Fix Lyrical. Please. It's my favorite dance, and I look like I'm having a seizure.
2. AFK Macrotainers.
3. Finish the flourishes. Doing a basic2 flourish with lyrical is just not my bag.
4. AFK Macrotainers.
5. Um, did I mention the AFK Macrotainers yet?
My 5 biggest issues:
1. Allow us to self-buff our mind. It does seem a bit ridiculous that I can buff another player's mind, but I can not buff my own mind. Some may see that as too overpowering, but if it's not overpowering fornon-dancers to run around with buffed mind stats, why is it overpowering for a dancer to have buffed mind stats?
2. Finish the flourishes. I've been a master dancer since July and am still amazed that exotic 3 and 4 only have 2-3 different flourishes. I know we are low on the priority list for developers, but the dances should have been finished prior to release.
3. Falling. I fall too much for a master dancer. It's like all dancers have an inner ear disturbance.
4. Collison detection. I hate that I end up dancing in the middle of a table or dance through another performer. This is probably too difficult to fix, but there are some items that I can not run through and some items that I can. The other by product could be that if you collide with another dancer you both automatically stop dancingwhich could be a way to deal with AFK dancers.
5. Action costs are too high.
