Kiss my big furry **edit** Devs.

Gee, only myself and a number of other Entertainers have been asking countless questions for any scrap of information about our role in the game we pay for, once this CU goes Live.

So, quite literally and very sincerely Devs, and this is from my big Wookiee heart - thanks for nothing.

hon... you're missing somthing here...

This is a Combat Upgrade... Not an Entertainer Upgrade...

Why are you getting so upset that we're not being specific attention payed to us?

When our upgrade comes, will you be just as upset that the combat professions aren't given attention?

Please... calm down.

The profession trees for Entertainers, Musicians, Dancers and Image Designers will be affected by the Combat Upgrade, and will likely need some profession tweaking because of the changes with wounds, stat migration and buffs to the mind. We will make adjustments to entertainers by creating some long lasting, minor buffs for combat professions.

Entertainers are outside the scope of the CU. We have been told that repeatedly. So although they admit we will need tweaking due to the CU changes and although we may get minor buffs that is no guarantee it will be part of the CU. I expect you will see several months before those changes occur.

Just read this in the "character healing and related professions" article.

Doctor Profession Changes

Pre-requisites change: from master medic to general healing line and pre-doctor line.

Point blank range large healing capability

State cures

Health buffs

Combat speed buffs

Low power mind Action regeneration buffs

Gains a component-less Resurrection ability with minimal resurrection sickness on the target

So where are the ent buffs?

Oh wait!

See Ihareo (hope I got that right), there's the problem. We haven't been told much of anything, and what we have been told doesn't seem too good. "Minor" buffs. Wow, I bet those will be demanded. A long-term small buff would best suit a new player, I believe, somebody who can't afford to pay much for a large one. And again, it's going to be a pre-combat process, if it's asked for at all.

Can I ask what the definition of 'is' is?

They are making new programs here... it's all in steps. They can't create the buffs till they create what will be buffed.

I ask again, how many different ways do you want them to say they will do a thing?

You're right. We haven't been told more than two pieces of information.

But those two pieces of information are still more than other non combat professions have gotten. I think that means somthing. If nothing else other than we are being given some concideration.

Also, They said we will have minor buffs. I'd like to remind you that they said ALL buffs will be minor.

Babe, they raved about the Hutt Casino for months.

Unattended gameplaywas going to be removed.

Profession role documents were being worked on for the Entertainer professions.

We were going to Alpha Test the CU before it hit live, with the possibility of making core system changes that we disagreed with.

You are missing the point from my follow on post. They have already created the buffs and given them to the doctors. Why give us an ability that already exists? So keep being hopeful while they openly post documents completely denying their off the cuff statements made in a thread to try and please someone.

This is hurting my head, here -

BF, MW, and mind buffing were all going to go away last I was told. They were going to be replaced with something else. The something else was an idea first talked about in here when we started talking about "crafter buffs" (it was Sirii) and then Deila and Tiaga talked about "positive reinforcement" in here and then a combat corr (Caylin) took all of that good info after talking to me in the "pre-CU" corr irc talks and named the new happy thing we almost got as a replacement for all EH.

The very first time anyone had any indication BF was going to stay in the game was when TH said that in a reply post. This appears to have come straight from Blair. There has been no explanation made at all saying how any of this will work in the post CU changes. Having talked to Blair about BF and what he wanted for Ents in person, I know that he never liked targeted mind buffs. He described Ent buffing as intended to be some small benefit combat players got from spending downtime withSocial players.
