Now to go take a nap, I'm sooo tired from testing this lol.
You guys deserve a nap! /prod
I can't believe you guys kept going another 3 hours after the time I left.
I am so grateful that we have such a great and amazing group of testers on our side. I don't think most people realize how much work you all put into finding something that does work in the face of a system that appeared to be completely broken...
Thank you.

Great replies and thankyou for the answers..
Not quite what i hoped to hear but bugs from patch day are to be expected...
Hope they get this system working well for both sides of this issue.

Hey test team...thanks so much for finding the workaround and burning the midnight oil. Hope it gets fixed soon. However, given the speed at which the simultaneous buff bug was fixed (broken since pub 8 til this odd buff bug today) I'm not terribly hopeful. Til is right, I think this will be worse for us over the long haul.

You can technically start watching/listening in any order. All that really matters is that if it is a simultanious buff, you stop watching first. But, it is just easier to tell people to watch first and stop watching first to avoid confusion.

Group buffs are working - I just buffed a group - did a /setperform on the first person and did a 3.5 min2 hr buff- went to start on the second person who accidently stopped watching when I told the first person to stop. The second person got the buff as well. Everyone else in the group stopped watching and they all had 2 hr buffs.
There was no musician in the group - not sure if the /setperform in group made the difference.
On another note - a master dancer who generally is an AFK bot tried to do a buff and failed - took her 2 tries to get the buff and it took over 10 min to get completed- I buffed 2 individuals and the group in the time it took her to get one buff done.

I cannot tell you all how terribly disappointed I am in this. I wasso looking forward to this fix and the return of dual-buffing with Roho .. . now . . . . . . I can only hope that the devs take action and get this fixed ASAP. If not . . . I don't know . . . I'm just getting tired of it all . . .

Has anyone else tested this? I seem to recall a long time ago when I first started buffing, people told me that I had to do a /setperf on one person in the group for the whole group to get it. I eventually realized I didn't have to. But, I now wonder if that was somehow based in fact?

Test test test! Try it out, and if we get consistent results, post here.
Obviously, in a limited amount of time with a limited amount of testers, only so much could be checked. There could indeed be other workarounds that manage to get the job done. More testers = more heads figuring things out. And that's a Good Thing™!

Just tested this a few ways, and could not get it to apply the buff. I think this story is probably just an anomaly.

Where you see sweet lemonade i see absolute rotten poison.
What about pvp groups? sure this nerfs afk buff bots but I could give a rats ass about that. All of the ents i go to have a /setperform on the leader regardless so as long as I personally get the ent I have my buffs afk or not.
But pvp groups that are attempting to go out and buff are going to now have to wait 8-10 minutes for every person in their group to get mind buffs. That is 160-200 minutes per group and is so beyond unacceptable it is not even funny. everyone and their mother is going to have to have their own dancer/musician buff bot now and that is rediculous.
