My worst cooking...
I once decided to melt some chocolate to dip bananas in to see what it was like, so I put some in a bowl and put it in the microwave.
A couple minutes later on full power..
Burned chocolate is not a nice smell.

lol I left a pizza in the oven for... Ohhh only like 40 minutes to long... last night... and can I say WOW that doom 3 sure makes ya jumpy... (rented it for el XBox yesterday just had to check it out)ahh but have you ever burned water....i was in a cantina and huge group of peopel showed up turned into an impromptu party /weddingi had forgotten i put on salt water to boil to make pasta and all the water boiled out and the salt burned my family still teases me to this day for burning water
I get teased for the same thing. Just in the past two years I have turned three kettles into patially melted lumps of blackened metal. I blame SWG. Actually the second kettle died some time during Cantina Crawl 7 (the one on Talus?) if I remember correctly.
Now I have a little kettle that whistles REALLY lound and the cats come and cry to me when it is going off. Since getting that that kettle I've contented myself with burning random pots of pasta instead.
All my friends and family are very well aquainted with the phrase "she burns water."

For some reason however this reminded me of the movie "The Transporter." If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. The plot is god-awful but the main actor makes up for it.
It starts off an action flick with lots of fast cars and blowing up stuff but about halfway through there is a fight scene where the guys shirts get ripped off and they start wrestling in oil.
Total chick flick.

Since everyone else is revealing their mishaps with cooking I might as well too. Okay, so I'm about 14, it's the middle of summer, my family is going to a BBQ the following day. My mom was famous for her potato salad and we were getting ready to make it to bring. SO I'm helping out and my mom tells me to go and put the potatos on to boil. In my infinite blondeness I actually asked her "How do you boil potatos?" I am still teased about this, 9 years later.
I also have the uncanny ability to burn rice, and not just a little bit. I'm talking full on black and stuck to the bottom of the pan.
This does have a good side to it though. It means that my daughter will grow up to be a wonderful cook simply because she has no wish to starve to death.

My biggest kitchen blondeness - it's not a cooking mishap, although I have burned water too.
Had a craving for microwave popcorn one day while grocery shopping, so I bought some.
Totally forgetting I don't own a microwave...

Owwwww! Cringe city - but I once tried to cook damper when I was little, however there is just a lil more to it than "flour and water". The brick that came out of the oven was sturdy enough to start off a housing foundation **laughs**
