Thread: Can any of you dance in real life?

Him Indoors and I are often complimented on our dancing and get asked to get on the dance floor first to encourage others to join in. I will often stop what I'm doing if a good dance track is on the radio. I also record compilation cds to dance to and match my dance in the cantina to what I am listening to, as well as bopping around the room.
It seems my RL dance style is similar to Popular2, now I just need to work out how to incorporate some of the flourishes so that I move smoothly between them and don't drift!

it is! quite a workout too, I just have to do it more
as for the original question, probably not any more... did ballet when I was little, and was in show choir in HS. as long as noone brings up "dancing at fanfest" I'll be fine

Been dancing and playing music all my life. Been stuck in different phases ranging from goth/techno to classical/jazz, to rock/r&b, etc etc. I used to be a cage dancer at a local club. Nice to get paid to keep a crowd pumped up. A background in gymnastics helped with that. I did used to be in the rave scene long before they became what they are. Also used to enjoy clubbing to different clubs, favorites have always been the darker, more mysterious alternative clubs. If I could remember the name of the club that held the fetish ball I went to in Cleveland, it was perfect

I do a great impression of the "Elaine" dance (Seinfeld anyone?) in the grocery store to embarrass my teenage boys, does that count?

I took ballet lessons when I was really young (about 4-5) and I did ballroom dancing and Latin American when I was a bit older (start of high school). I've got OK rhythm but it takes a lot to get me to jump up and dance these days, unless I'm a bitdrunk.
Hmm... footloose while drunk. Now that could be fun.

Mhm..me too! And yeah..people tell me I'm a pretty good dancer. I honestly don't think I am particularly talented but I make up for it with enthusiasm. Everythingfrom clubbing to baladi..I absolutely love to move.I'm much better with music though. My guitars have taken me everywhere from seedy West Texas dives to a Segovia master class (definitely a major life moment). And I Love percussion!
I can't play anote - but I would pay just to watch a class like that!
I enjoy dancing immensely... I just can't do it myself! 
Though when I do I definitely go the enthusiasm route. Most fun I've had recently is contra dancing. It was in an old church-like building with huge windows. As we walked up to it we noticed that all the windows were open and steam was coming out! Contra dancing = Serious weight loss program!

This Wookiee don't dance. 
But, I like jamming on my guitar and stuff. And I can play a mean egg shaker.
I have been known to get a little groove on while jamming away, though - I mean, you just can't help it when things are rockin.

I'm an Irish dancer that has danced competitively since I was seven; if you've ever been to a feis you'll know what I mean. Being raised in an Irish household we always had alot of music and dance at family gatherings. As such I also play the whistle and the simple system Irish flute (not the Boehm system or what most would call a concert flute).

I can rip up the DDR pads (Actually I play PIU, it's got bigger pads that are more me sized, and I think the steps are more fun) but besides that, never been much of a dancer. I've always wanted to, which I think is why I like being an entertainer in SWG.
I'm also not much for music, but I can at least pretend to play a few things. Mostly piano, but I have a collection of various flutes of different types that I can sort of play. (Anything but concert flutes.) Okay, so I can make a sound from them. And sometimes pretend to carry a tune.
