This doesn't fix the problem it only cures a side effect of the major problem. Look to the buff bot types to go third party and keep their slave accounts buffing away.
Until they address the core issuses with entertainer professions this is just a bandaid.
- Active engaging game content.
- Active healing instead of passive.
- Active buffing instead of passive.

Looks like we can start charging money for healing bf. Hmmm 30k for a stat migration or 30k for bf healing...

Ok, this one I immediately replied to and voiced my support of TH's announcement. While I would miss some perfectly good uses for some short term recursive macros (and in fact proposed my own suggestion on how we might be able to keep these), a final solution to buffbots and numerous other AFK nuisances would be so worth it - not to mention the revitalization of our profession once the AFK abusers are removed. While I haven't read the whole thread yet, I think it's kind of sad seing how many people are totally addicted to AFK use directly or indirectly (using bots for example). It's like it's a drug to them, and they can't even seem to imagine the game without it. It's also created such a sense of entitlement to some players. They seem to think that they "deserve" to have access to buffs at any time, when it should really be considered a privelege of learning how to play the game well (by knowing how to find the buff givers, making friends with some that they can call on for help, or taking the time to master the profession themselves) and being respectful to us buff givers so that we will be happy to help them out when they come to us, or even be willing to go to them if we can. I really can't wait for this change to be included, and I'm both surprised and delighted to know that it may happen soon. I do wish TH could have come out and said something sooner. It seems to me that they have known a change was coming for some time now, but refused to tell us even for as long as we have been begging for change or even just some concrete recognition of the probem and the INTENT to do something about it. I think it has caused more frustration and anger this way than if they would have been more forthcoming to us earlier, but at least now we can finally rest easy and rejoice that something will soon be done. Time for some of those dormant entertainers out there to dust off their old slitherhorns, or get those red dance shoes out of the closet. Our time is about to come again!

I own Lebow, Master Dancer, Master Musician.
If this goes through I will cancel my both of my accounts.
For those of you cheering "Yay" will you be making the rounds to all of the cities on all of the planets at 1am to serve the customers that were being helped by afkers?

What is really wrong with afk people? They added your precious "afk ignore" and if they didnt put themselves on afk you can still manually type it for goodness sakes! So what if someone wants to spend THEIR $15 a month afk? Don't like afkers, DONT PATRON!!!! It is that simple. And now, thanks to the endless line of whinners, I will now have to go find someone to buff me and I might even have to talk to them to be polite. Maybe I dont want to talk to people which is why I choose to go to the afkers. There will be evils to this you havent even had the forethought to think of!! Give it two weeks and all you people moaning will be moaning again for it to be fixed because it has now messed you up in some other way.

From a Bounty hunter/Jedi (non entertainer) I am just here to say this is one of the best changes since launch
....
Edit: Now if they would fix the seat warpin and require somone to sit in a seat to get healed it would be the best month in the games history
