IMO the "pwn" macro deal from before is just as damaging as this could be, BUT this will make people catch on to it. Then if they take away whatever makes them responsive people can revert to "pwn" bots and the issue will remain.....and anything done to get rid of pwn bots will affect buffbots..

Well, I have no problems with the 'pwn' bots, or similar
I don't want to make the devs more fearful to fix the afk situation.

Well Eaca.
As part of this homework assignment I went back and read some past discussions a bit.
My vote is now: Do it.

Open it... as long as it only uses in-game mechanics... we should develop the macro capabilities to the full potential so that when the revamp comes around, we'll know exactly what needs to be changed...

Okay Im kinda playing with the bot now...Im not on its list. but its very cool. I might want to run this macro so I could just sit and watch myself like a movie while others do all the work. Also the bot can be told to do emotes like dance and such and say things....this is wonderful...Imagine 20 entertainers not only bandfloing, but also changing dances at the same time!

Since Eaca was kind enough to give me control of the bot for a while
, Okyy and I spent some time in Mos Eisley fooling around with it. Had it crawling around on the ground barking like a dog...and dancing and singing "I'm a little teapot".
The possibilites using this macro system are amazing... and a little scary at the same time.
Next step...take it hunting ![]()

I say, go for it, Eaca. Frankly I don't think it will do much if anything to make the buffbot owners or the 'leet types feel our pain any. They'll be too busy getting a kick out of such a toy. It seems like most of them are just trying to find new ways to play the game solo anyway. It might make a difference in the PvP game, though, depending on how easy it is to control. It can't be any harder to kill than a normal player, and if anything, might be easier to kill since it can't react to what happens to it. It could certainly give an advantage if one side uses them and the other doesn't, but if the information is out there available to everyone, then even that will likely balance out. There probably will be those combat types who get annoyed at having to deal with the AFK combat bots, and that would help. It might even get rid of a few buffbots if their owners decide they could get more use out of a combat bot. Ultimately the most it will do, hopefully, is show the devs just how deeply their built-in complex macro system can be exploited while still following the "rules". SOETyrant was mentioning that there are still those on the dev team who are against the recursive macro change. I wonder if uses such as this might help to change their minds.

How many Jedi's have to be killed by BH's with doc/tka bots before, the Jedi board light up as if someone dropped a nuke in there? And how long will it take the Devs to respond to the Jedi's?
Release it already, the boards could use a shake up like that. And serenely the Dev's deserve to shown exactly how complex and effective thair macro system really is.

I'll be in game later tonight. I think it's time for a little hunting with mindless zombie slaves... perhaps I can start to show Combat-assist the Way of the Rifle...

This should get AFKing a whole lot of attention... and not in a good way.
I want details on how this works.

That was likely along the lines of "recharge my bot so I can buff you" I'd be very supprised, astounded even, if somebody else had figured out my method.
