Our game is already destroyed. I hate to say it, but anything you or anyone else can do to ruin the gameplay of everyone else everywhere on every server via macros and bots is fine with me. Perhaps once the game is 70% full of macro-controlled bots, the other players will realize what this sort of crap does to a game and join us in our call to get them to banish it.

Oh to have had a TK/Fencer stacked slave when I dueled that guy at Theed starport. What better way to show them how bad it is than to have our own robot bodyguards. The first few times combat junkies are defeated by robots the outcry will get huge and a fix will happen.

Eaca, Mik & I were talking about this after reading your thread on Flurry ("hard to do" is so relative when you're talking tothe coder who washed your hair for you while you were partially paralyzed). Do it. The first part of recovery isn't admitting you have a problem. The first part of recovery is hitting bottom.

Initial trials are going very well, with the exception of the LD issue (which I believe was due more to the fact that it was running in the background on my laptop than any design flaw) it performed all required commands flawlessly. Right now it has a 20 second command window with about a 1 second processing time, but I'm thinking of lowering it to 5 sec command window with no downtime, HOWEVER you won't be able to make the bot send tells as it puts it into an endless command loop cycle (which is the only instance I can think of that required the processing time, any other command should be fine)
I happened to make it on ahazi on a whim, not knowing what a wonderful testing envorinment it would be, anyway, if you're on ahazi, expect to see "Combat-Assist Robot" running around as Deila's slave a bit more tonight.

Well right now the bot is a Marksman, as in 0000, BUUUUUT, if anybody on ahazi (which is where I randomly decided to make it) wants to assist in the trials, you can take it xping, get it buffed, drag it around planet to planet (using JTL). If you want to give it some gear, armor, weapons, food, whatever, let me know I'll do the trade and setup the stuff on the toolbars so you all can easily access it, can even make it accept training. Let me know if you want access to it, heck if you're not on ahazi but active in the ent comunity you can make an alt there and go test it a bit as well To be honest its not so much fun for me to test, as I'm sitting here watching it, its far cooler to watch other people taking control of it, putting it thru its paces.

On a side note it would be really freaking cool to go to bed one night and wake up to my bot being like novice rifleman+ hahahaha. Remember if you can figure out which option the training you want is you can even use UI commands to make him learn from trainers

You might as well let the cat out of the bag. Once you do, macros/afk will be fixed the following week, guarenteed. Once people begin taking slaves into battle with them, especially high powered ones and winning all the time, combatters will throw the biggest fit ever, and it will be a top priority the next day. You can essentially double your power with this. I'd be interested in seeing how it is programmed, especially the making someone say something. Releasing it won't affect entertainers really, buffbots are already reaking havoc there, but it will impact hunters and pvpers, and they will get very vocal about that

Update: The bot now has a startup procedure that along with initial setup, also ensures that certain other parameters that must be set, currently are, once these parameters are set, the startup procedure initializes to command interpreter and off the bot goes, its currently standing in the middle of the starport in mos eisley on ahazi, currently only myself and deila have access.

Well, as long as there's no chance of you getting slapped by SOE for openning the box, I say go for it, too! I'd be interested to see how long it takes the rest of the player base to pick uppitchforks and lanterns once a fleet of ComA$$Bots appears on several different servers and they start whooping the l337's. . . bums. LOL!

For those claiming the 'hotfix within 15 minutes' response if this is released, I have a question for Eaca. Is there a particular command/mechanic you are using that could be nerfed without affecting buffbots? It doesn't seem to me that buffbots require the ability to be responsive, and since that's what makes this bot particularly devilishly clever, I would imagine that the responsiveness would be hotfixed rather than the ability to afk 24/7 would be.
But I want to play too, both in terms of controlling, and knowing how to control.
