anyone that says this is NOT an issue has not spent an hour in a cantina and tried to hold a conversation in spatial. Have 4-5 stormies all spaming the same crap every 5 mins is total BS... I will not be entertaining untill this is fixed.. in fact this is just another SOE blunder in the long road of blunders...
This is not content.. its total crap.. If this is any sign of how more soo called content is going to be implenmented my days of playing are numbered.. i was holding out for CR and entertaining was getting me by and i was having fun.. since this patch i have not even logged in for more than 15 mins. Nor do i plan to

Alright, I'm getting a little annoyed by all of these posts. I'm not picking on you in particular, but please listen when I tell you to.....
SETTLE THE F*CK DOWN
The Developers are not "out to get" the Entertainers. I'm sure the issue would have been addressed if it had been noted on TC, or shortly thereafter. There's no reason for the devs to be attempting to drive all entertainers from all cantinas. (Factionally aligned entertainers with no combat skills may no longer be welcome in enemy territory, but the same can be said for other non-combatants that aren't "On Leave.") I'm quite positive that they do not want to alienate the entertainers any more than they already have been by other unfortunate events, so stop acting like we're a target here. Oversights are quite common when a product is in development, and an MMO is in constant development. This is a rather minor problem, in my opinion, and is not an attack on our profession, only atemporary inconvenience.

I haven't run into this problem yet. Mainly I think because on Tarq the Theed cantina doesn't have many people in it. Those of us who routinely dance there are high ranking imperial combatants. Stormies like me, they really like me!
Naboo fell under rebel control for a few hours though and it was kind of tramatic getting to and from the shuttle though
All in all I like what I have seen so far from this change... Some cantinas are better than others as far as GCW goes. Perhaps you could try moving to a different location depending upon your character's GCW status.
Imperial players may want to find a good imperial stronghold to dance out of and Alliance players should look for a good Alliance stronghold to dance in. Nuetrals should pick a cantina that is in a rebel controlled town that has guards near the cantina.
Maybe listing the best places here would be a good place to start?

Heh...I think the devs can be short sighted, unresponsive, and clueless about the entertainer profession from time to time. And, it's our jobs to point that out. And, in this case, I think it's good Kacy started this discussion so that the devs are aware that it can be annoying.
I, for one, think it's excessive. However, I do like the idea of Cantina crackdowns for immersion sake. I wouldn't mind half as much if the stormies came in and did exactly what they do now...only do it once, every 1 to 2 hours, and not once every 15 minutes.
But, as Til, said, I don't believe the devs are out to ruin entertaining either. I never did.
