Thread: New Inspiration Buffs

I can't believe this.
Do you all have any idea how important this will make us?
Even if we can't control who gains the benefit, these imspiration buffs are incredible. I couldn't have dreamed that they'd actually do this!
Yeah, it will make us so important that many many people will make room in thier template for 15 skill points so they can pick up novice entertainer and buff thier friends just as good as wecan (while thier friends buff them, as I'm sure we won't be able to self buff, if we CAN self buff than it's even worse than I thought). Novice entertainer is just as good as master, just takes a little longer? I forsee a lot of buff bots becoming merchant alts now too!

Want to know what the problems here are?
To get a max buff you need 15 skill points invested.
To get a buff all you have to do is target a skill animating entertainer and /watch or /listen.
Instead of giving us anything of value to us, they gave all of the value to everyone else with no control being left for us.
So now all a crafter or combat player needs is an alt with 15 skill points invested to make us worthless OR they can come by the cantina where we are trying to play and simply /wacth or /listen to one of us and run out without so much as giving us a credit.
AFK will not be affected at all and AFK will still have all of the advantages (convience). This is NOT going to make US important, just the value that can be TAKEN from us.
So what?
The better a Dancer is the faster they will give the maximum time on the buff. Period. It doesn't matter that many buffbots have +25 skill tapes. So do many ATK Dancers.
And don't even think of going there. I'm not a buffbot and I have a +25 skilltape. I have it because I am dedicated to being the best. period.
And as for the AFK 'problem', as Panthu said, from the mouths of the DEVs, it's not a problem. It is intended, so get over it. I have to, so do you, so does everyone. The only DEVs that wanted to get rid of the AFKers also wanted to get rid of us, so I think we'd better walk a very fine line and just get off that kick.
Yes I believe it could be handled better. I would add the ability to choose to apply the insp buff just like we apply current mind buffs, but if it's going to change for the better, we need to band together put together a proposal and above all be polite.
I am sorry if this post has come off as hostile in any way, I didn't intend that in the slightest. I am trying to be dispassionate and to the point.

I don't understand it, every other single profession requires the players have some interaction with each other. They either have to ask for the mechanic or visit a vendor. Why is it so important that we be a "seamless experience"?
I guess its time to find a new game.

Would you like me to put together a proposal Esharra?

Naw, they only need 15 skill points for a full buff.
