they really need to remove this 'dancing with a weapon' exploit. it's ruining the game.

I'm a master dancer and have tried holding vk's, swords, staffs... I still fall. -_-

I was, and had been, a Master Dancer for an extremely long time... and I fell all over the place. My regulars would tease me to no end... Holding things didn't seem to make a difference. Ah well... c'est la vie in SWG.

However, to whoever said "fix this exploit".... good grief, it's not an exploit. It's a bug! An "exploit" would imply that we get some kind of illicit advantage from these actions... which we don't! If this forum had a "rolleyes" icon, I'd stick one right here --->

I dance with a stun baton, but it's mainly for

1. Deterring would-be harrassers (I'm certified for it)

2. The look (it's a sex toy AND a melee weapon! It's an ongoing joke and .......... well some folks like the Mistress Miralin look. *shrug* Different looks make slow nights in the cantina pass faster)

Of course, I still fall..................................... *chuckle*

I haven't fallen in a while... not since midway through my Entertainer skills. Since picking up Dancing III I haven't fallen that I can remember. And before that it was always the same flourishes I'd fall on, every single time.

Odd about no falls for a weapon.. I haven't fallen since I've taken to holding a staff which was around the same time as Dancing III

Have they fixed this exploit yet?

"Ironically, while researching this piece a representative from Sony asked us to keep in mind that many of the players complaining "weren't playing the class right," and that the class was designed as a solo experience. Such a comment is indicative of the original Ultima Online mistake: not realizing that once an MMO is released to the public, it no longer belongs to the developers, it belongs to the people paying $14.99 a month for the service."

If people don't get an advantage, why does everyone do it?

Personally I think the sea of people holding staffs looks silly. Kind of like the people who play DDR and hang onto the bar the whole time.

Hey,

When you use this exploits, do it with a flash. Don't use a silly knife or guns. Use a Rantok Sword. You will look abso-tively wonderful doing exotic3/exotic4/lyrical2.

Hi,

Another thing, ... I don't fall over that often without any weapon exploits. ... Is it about something else?

Umm ... I am a blademaster/master dancer. Oh and I am a twilek. (so I get dancing bonus of some sorts)

Q

P.S. I wish there was a title, "Blade Dancer."

Personally I always thought the blade looked odd with exotics. It just moves all wrong. I've seen many sword dances in my time, and none of them looked anything remotely like holding a sword while doing exotic. I mean you don't once move the sword the proper way, always waving it sideways.

Formal is good for a sword, lyrical for a staff.. Poplock can be good for a staff as well. (Best wearing black slacks, white formal shirt of some kind, boots, and with an ommni box and chid horn playing jazz, and only doing the "good" flourishes 1-4 - give it a try sometime if you can get all that together.)

I got a pair of uniform boots, a pair of shorts (the boy cut ones, NOT the hot pants and NOT the cargo shorts) and a revealing top (the light bustier works just as well), long gloves and my black combat staff........this is pretty cute doing lyrical. If I had a top hat, I could be a Rockette!

I also dance with my stun baton, but only when I want to a) to warn people or b) go for a fetishy leather look. I fall anyway.
