i started a newbe on Chilastra spent first few hours in Kaddera nada did get nice doc heals tons of et expearinace after 3 hours of talking to folks engaging conversations nada on tips

Headed to Theebs nice group as usualy on most of the servers, a pleasent surprise most folks were at there key boards talking joking acknowldeging customers ( like in the first two weeks) i spent 7 hours there not a singal tip!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Several of the higher end folks started talking main room since as power for the course group chat aol again

I mentioned i was going to have to leave soon to do some artisian missions only way i can afford being an entertainer

At one point i did /setperformance on someone stoped it then they yelled & cussed at me for stopping so i then implmented deny service

Some of them can guess enough to know there being buffed but not bother at all with tips or even a thank you.

For those thinking i got into this profession for tips and not to entertain that isn't the point. I have a MM Me starsider, a me on briar ,and almost me on Chilstra now

It is how we are perercieved by the other players that hurt. It seems there is little we can do to change there opinion of us and or how we are to progress in this game

If we want anything ( gosh forbid we want clothes, & a house ) or in game toys

It is just not possible to run a full master dancer and or musican master with enough skill points too ammount to much to find another way of taking care of our toons needs

Without Going outside of the profession itself to "earn an in game living"........................seems to me to be a waste of vaulable "profession"

in beta it worked well for some it works well live well time for more artisian missions what a shame too

cause it me this class is what made the game fun for me but not at the expense of not being albe to afford a singal goodie

Ive used it when people have gotten a bit out of control around the dancers, or for people that have just gunned down any overt getting healed, or any over dancer.

I've also used it with a few imperials that gunned me down of a TEF, seeing my dancer title, then come into the cantina expecting me to heal them. Uhm..yea..right.

Yeah I use /deny only if someone is being really really really rude, then /deny just feels good to type usually I will sit down, walk away or anything like it aswell. Butit does feel good to just /deny someone like that.

Or if I am dancing to heal the tired trooops during a battle and don't want to stop healing them just becourseone person is being annoying.

I also would like to say that I been dancing for some time now, been a Masterdancer for about 2 months. And I never had any income on the side of tips, not until now when I started doing ID. Some weeks I hardly got any tip and the bank amount started to get lower and lower.. but then next week I would be lucky and ofcourse spend it all atmy tailor Nynna have a medium Tat home, she lived there for almost three months, all the clothes and furniture she ever needed, and a comfortable amount in the bank.

All thanks to loyal, good, happy patrons and friends, and maybe the fact that I never been AFK.

I've used the /deny command twice. Once was while playing my lowbie Bothan dancer-she is a rebel sympathizer so when Moenia was getting overrun, I had a rebel go out to watch the fighting and let me know which players were covert Imperials-I dumped them all onto deny.

The other time was when I loaded into the Lok cantina with my master dancer and discovered my screen spammed with stuff like 'you better get dancing Velvet', 'start dancing ... NOW', 'I have wounds start dancing if you want a tip'. This was all from one person, before the game had even finished loading in for me and I had control of my character. I said, 'Didn't anyone ever teach you to say please?' and the guy said, 'Not to a dancer, now DANCE already'. So I dumped him into the deny list, obliged and started dancing...then he wanted to know why he wasn't healing and I told him that if he couldn't be bothered to be courteous, he could get healing from someone else. He then tried tipping me a whole 297 credits, which I tipped back, told him to take his tip and stuff itand that he was going to need those credits to pay for the starport ticket he'd need to buy to go find some other entertainer healer to abuse.

I'll be charging 1k for a mind buff while not on a starter planet, payable in advance. If the combat types don't like it, they are welcome to kiss my sweet behind because I'm tired of being treated no differently than the banking or bazaar terminals.

Good to hear that I'm not the only person able to have a normal life just living from tips.

Back on topic, I never used the denyservice option, if there's a jerk then I simply /stop /slap /sit and wait till he goes away, which for some reason never takes long

I used it once, on the day it was put in, just to make sure it worked. I'll probably never use it again.

I find that /duel is much more satistfying than /deny.

However, I realize that not all dancers have the skillpoints to put into a combat profession. Therefore, I will /duel for them.

my thoughts:

I think they should change the denyservice thingy... to provideservice. well, say everyone cannot heal their mind unless we provideservice to them . we can still dance or play, but it just doesnt heal their mind.

This way, it makes AFK entertainers much more difficult to gain entertainer healing XP as well. I think it makes it all fair.

just my thoughts about it.

Once you /DenyService to someone, how do you provide it again?

/deny works as a toggle. Stopping the song ends it as well.
