so we are losing ALL recursive macros? so no one can loop anything - even while they are AT the keyboard? How incredibly stupid. So my jedi cant loop a heal macro while he fights? ugh

May I ask please, that if Eshi comes back and says that this is true...or, even if she says part of it is true, and the timeframe is wrong or whatever...for the love of all that is holy, do NOT be negative. Or, seriously, I will hunt you down and do very, very, very bad things!!!!!1111111!!!11

As far as the other comments, they did get rid of the buffbots of old by eliminating mind buffs and making the new abilities passive. Technically you could still call any AFK entertainer a 'buffbot' now, but it is a different creature than before, and no longer holds power over us the way the old ones did. Customers no longer think of it as a need, are rarely in a hurry for it, and since they don't have to do anything other than watch, an active, lively entertainer should easily be able to outcompete a macro most of the time.
And on the topic of the inspiration buffs themselves, I keep pointing out that these are *not* the replacement for the mind buffs of before. They represent only a first step toward new abilities that haven't been disclosed yet. Also they are *not* intended to be Master level abilities. They are Novice level abilities that are simply more efficient at the elite level. I would urge that we wait and see what exactly they do have planned for us as far as new elite skills before we pass judgement on their worth. Let's allow the pressures of the CU and new expansion to ease up so they can let us know what's coming up next.

If AFKing has to go to get rid of Buffbots then ok... I just wish the devs would take the time to find anohter way..
It's called the auto-default attack function.
Pick your favorite combat command. Any will do.
Let's say it's Center of Being.
Hold down CTRL and left click on the icon in your toolbar. You'll see a little circle with a checkmark in the upper left corner. When you execute that command (or double click on your target), the command will launch.
Now, go with me on this one...what about SHIFT+left click? How about ALT+left click? How about SHIFT+ALT+CTRL+left click? There's 4 fully looping and automated commands at your disposal.
I certainly hope the Devs take this approach - the code is there, the functionality is there, and they'd be fools to squander it. But let us not discuss whether not we think the Devs are fools, because you all know how I feel.

Not that I want to bring a cloud of negativity to the topic but I just find it hard to believe that AFKability will be removed. It wasn't that long ago that we were told how important and necessary afktainers were. I'll be one very happy camper if they've changed their minds but I'm not going to get excited until it actually happens. Afterall, in the very same breath there's a dev that seems to think Buffbots have already been removed. If they'd posted their name I'd have been happy to send them an invitation to come to Shadowfire and witness their existance firsthand.
And Drygo, keep in mind the diversity on this board. Some of your fans might actually like to have youafter them ![]()
