Doctors

Really?

How do you get past the crafting portion completely afk? Unless you are using a third party macro thingy, I didn'tthink thiswas possible.

Many doctors do not craft. Buffbots cannot come to other places at request of people, nor can they complete the quest to get songs.

The question was if there are any other classes that can be fully afk. I gave you one that can be played fully afk and still make money and be effective. You will have to buy buffs, wound packs, and state cures just like a buffbot has to be started; but other than a bit of human interaction I can do it all through macroing.

So, you're telling me that you can put a doctor...let's say, in the Coronet starport where the live docs hang out, punch your F1 button, and provide full 23/7 access to buffs to everyone in linewith the strength of a live doctor all day long, every day, never once moving from that spot in the Coronet starport, never once having to go buy a buffpack or craft, or go buy batteries, or anything like that? Just go to Coro starport hit F1 and work to maximum 100% capacity for the next 23 hours until the server goes down...and then come back the next day and do the exact same thing?

No?

Yeah, I didn't think so.

Lots of stuff, trying to keep it together:

Oqua obviously we can get into semantics. No I don't know anything special -- but a small percentage of doctors (from what I can tell) are not crafting. Only a few sell meds on my server(well, relative to the amount of coro buffers I see).

Drygo --

Yes, I can punch a few keys actually and provide a fully functioning buffbot for 24 hours. It would just be a matter of having enough packs, eating my food, and having a couple of power droids sitting around me.

I ask you this: Can an entertainer buffbot travel to other planets and help heal? Can they buff as fast as you? (No, because their macro makes them have to have pauses to invite, disband, etc). A little bit of the same kind of question from what I can see.

I wasn't arguing semantics with you MyT_Chicken, I really wasn't.

They suggested that no other profession can be macro'ed 100 percent, and you came to "prove them wrong".

I say you are the one looking for semantics and loopholes to argue. I think Drygo and myself pretty much proved no other profession can't be 100 percent macroed.

See? No semantics to argue.

Now....

This topic was about dancing angry....grrrrr. *giggles*

And after going around some considerable circles with Monsieur Chicken last night and today....I am getting a pretty good head of steam worked up.

Mebbe it will be able to last till Friday. For I really would LOVE to be at this crawl Javier. I only know so many of you through the dancer forum.

Yeah, I don't want to make Javy angry, he might spank me.

So, to go on topic...what exactly would be an angry dance? I kinda think maybe footloose? what with the butt wafting and all and the base dance is kinda angry looking. (that is footloose right? I'm still getting the new footloose and rhythmic confused sometimes)

LOL

I was thinking the bootay one of Footloose too...but then that would be us dancing, and making the patrons angry perhaps? If we do what that flourish makes it seem like we are doing.

Flourish 8 i believe it is, footloose. I call it the raving lunatic flourish, try it out. If im wrong on the nomber its the one where you wave your fists in the air and stomp your feet.

Number 4 known as the butt hop, or bootay as oqua calls it i have turned into an exciting new dance called the bestine boogie, two or more dancers form a circle so that they "colide" *cough cough* as the flourish reaches its farthest pointback. Hilarity ensues upon bandflourishing..

A buffing doctor can be completely macroed but not in a public arena likea starport. They exist but are rarer than entertainers because the macros are more complex. Generally they are in a house and they use the merchant access fee to insure they recieve pay. The macro will then talk you through going to a specific point so you are the closest target and walk you through joining them to target and proceed to throw buffs.

The major differences are the character HAS to be supplied with the buff packs and other necessities an entertainer does not need. So at some point the bot is going to have to stop and resupply. They can't carry out their function in a large public place because they couldn't reliably hit the intended target. Since they have more significant ongoing costs than an entertainer they are going to protect their income by controlling access through some mechanism. There are at least three such docs I've seen on the Corbantis server.

Idi likes taking any shortcut he can for his own selfish gain. He isn't interested in any other person, much less play style, benefitting as long as he can play in god mode and win. He even brings it to the boards hiding behind alt accounts to protect a silly star rating and using friends accounts to achieve that rating.A sad state of affairs to be proud of accomplishments achieved by circumventing the system but also sadly a fairly wide state of affairs these days.

I'll have to get javier on that. I don't think he'd mind bumping booties with me in the name of public humiliation.

First, I don't know if MyT_chicken is another poster or if it is a joke; but I am not that person.

Second, Squad Leader. All macroable.

Once again, if you are judging my moral framework based on a game and my beliefs on how to maximize my enjoyment then perhaps you should re-examine your life.

Once again (trying not to get wound up) I am on an alt because I enjoy the pilot rating. I also have never used a friend's account to garner that rating (I know me typing it and you reading it is difficult, but try and keep up).

Never once did I say I was proud of using a buffbot...an assumption again. I also am not circumventing the system; I think CSR's standing up for toons using these macros is as good an indication of the system working as I need.

Please though, this melodramatic mantra is amusing. People judging based on internet postings is always amusing (and largely ignorant -- just thought I'd spell it out for you).
