Second, Squad Leader. All macroable.

First, Javy, I"m sorry...I really , really am!!!!

But, I gotta ask...how can an afk Squad Leader be effective? I mean, what do they do really? Do they log on in a house somewhere...or out in public? What do they spam in their macros? "COMPLETE AFK SQUAD LEADER, GROUP ME NOW!" Do they have /join in their macro and do they have a /follow target in their macros where they follow the whole group, never getting caught up in a corner or a tree? Do they have a macro that allows them to shuttle hop with the group they are servicing? Do they have "form up" written to shout out every few seconds? I'm just having a hard time picturing an afk squad leader that is set out for service to the general public. I mean, what happens after the group is done with them? Does the afk Squad Leader have a macro that has them go back to their house? Or do they just stand out there in the middle of Dathomir hoping a Rancor doesn't kill them before the next group comes to use them? Help me understand.

Edited to add: Just so everyone knows, I honestly have no clue how Squad Leaders work. It's entirely possible a squad leader can do their thing from the safety of their own house while the group is 2 planets away for all I know. So, my curiosity is not *entirely* tongue in cheek.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm tired of the anger. Perhaps it's because the stuff happening in my real life puts the garbage going on in this game to shame.

I'm not giving up the game, butmaybe I need to take a break from the forums again. I have enough things to cry about. I don't need more.

Doctor bots cannot be better game mechanically than live doctors. Entertainer bots can, and often are.

How do you get past the crafting portion completely afk? Unless you are using a third party macro thingy, I didn'tthink thiswas possible.

Ican set up a bot that will eat bivoli and will heal all wounds, poisons, diseases, cure all states, and buff you all fully afk. Sounds pretty good to me.

Also, SL's can be fully automated and also can do everything an ATK SL can do.

Medic also, I can set up a wound healing medic bot.

Edit:I can set up....

Many doctors do not craft. Buffbots cannot come to other places at request of people, nor can they complete the quest to get songs.

The question was if there are any other classes that can be fully afk. I gave you one that can be played fully afk and still make money and be effective. You will have to buy buffs, wound packs, and state cures just like a buffbot has to be started; but other than a bit of human interaction I can do it all through macroing.

Eh. I just see this as further reasons why the macro system in SWG needs to be thoroughlyreviewed. Or something. TH's comments about getting rid of unattended functioning in the 'Recursive Macros are Going Away Part 2' thread on In Development says to methat the devs are realizing their conceptualmistakes with the way the macro system was implemented.

Players aren't supposed to be NPC's. Players are supposed to be better than that.

That I know IdiAmin, but I thought they were referring to a profession that can be 100 percent macro'ed...and a doctor cannot.

Why I thought I would ask and wonder what you knew/used that others didn't. But its nothing different, so thanks anyways for trying to answer my question.

So, you're telling me that you can put a doctor...let's say, in the Coronet starport where the live docs hang out, punch your F1 button, and provide full 23/7 access to buffs to everyone in linewith the strength of a live doctor all day long, every day, never once moving from that spot in the Coronet starport, never once having to go buy a buffpack or craft, or go buy batteries, or anything like that? Just go to Coro starport hit F1 and work to maximum 100% capacity for the next 23 hours until the server goes down...and then come back the next day and do the exact same thing?

No?

Yeah, I didn't think so.

afk squandleaders are only akf during the battle, thier most often used for pvp the sl is usually neutral or at least covert and hence unattackable they tend to get parked nearby tnhe a macro using /formup (removed stun and dizzy states) /rally (impreoves defences) and soemtimes other commands (/steadyaim occasionally) is run giving the advantages of these abilities, in addition to this many sl abilities are passive and you jsut need t be goruepd with tmhe and near engouh to tmh eot gian the benefit (grouepd range def, group melee def, group terrain neg, etc)

on top of this the afk sl doenst ned to worry aoubt tefs, doesn't need to concentrait on the fight as well as thier skills so in some situatinos actually outperform the at keyboard sl (nb many sl's are as irritated over this as well are over ent bots its jsut thers so few professional sl's (sl';s who are sl's becuae they liek th eproff and not sl's jsut for guld base raids) that you cna barely hear thier screams in a quiet room

I know there are some jedi who purposely make their alts sl with either doc or ent skills. Buff themselves, start the sl macro then go off and hunt or whatever. And yes the real sl should be just as upset that people can bend the system like that. As long as the sl is on the same planet as far as I know you get all the passive bonuses.

I use my alt to...I know this may sound odd....make myself and friends clothes and actually hang out in the cantina and dance. I missed dance so much with my main but love my template on her for PvE that I didnt want to drop anything. Thus my alt was born, I didnt even have a buff macro written until yesterday and it is not an afk macro by any means. I just dont understand people who pay $15 a month to not really play a char but just park it somewhere. Then again i dablle in rp so to me running an npc would be boring.

The new dances however and increased ATK ents on my server have convinced me to hang out and see what changes they can make to better entertaining. I love the social aspect of this game, it is what drew me into my first online game and what keeps me here.

Speaking of angry dancing yes I did that dance last night in a crowded cantina and various giggles ensued. Good to know people have a sense of humor still. And is it just me or does anyone else shout YEEHAW when they do flo 8 of theatrical....dangit now we need cowboy/cowgirl hats.

Once again, if you are judging my moral framework based on a game and my beliefs on how to maximize my enjoyment then perhaps you should re-examine your life.

Once again (trying not to get wound up) I am on an alt because I enjoy the pilot rating. I also have never used a friend's account to garner that rating (I know me typing it and you reading it is difficult, but try and keep up).

Never once did I say I was proud of using a buffbot...an assumption again. I also am not circumventing the system; I think CSR's standing up for toons using these macros is as good an indication of the system working as I need.

Please though, this melodramatic mantra is amusing. People judging based on internet postings is always amusing (and largely ignorant -- just thought I'd spell it out for you).

LOL you clearly show your "moral framework" in your actions and words;whetherit isonline or RL is irrelevant. It is actions that make a person. You have said that you are willing to use friend's accounts to protect your precious forum rating, you have said you are willing to pay for and use bot accounts to give you in game advantages, you have clearly admitted that you will use what ever means is available to enhance your own activities. They were your words not mine, it's pretty clear from that the "moral framework" you work within. If you really think that online postings are meaningless because you are an anonymous net user then youclearly have no issue with lieing and posting whatever you feel will get the greatest reaction. Either way you show a clear lack of concern foranything beyond your own selfishgains.

It isn't just about what mechanics allow but how the person participating exploits the mechanics to their advantage with total disregard for others. You clearly don't care who is affected as long as you win, otherwise why troll from behind a forum alt to preserve some silly, meaningless title? Yes you are trolling you are posting to incite just like your comments attempting to defame and insult me with your choice of terms.

So continue to hide, continue to exploit, continue to cheat, or perhaps it's all just lies instead. Just don't besurprised when someonecalls it what it is and claim some moral high ground for yourself that doesn't exist.
