Thread: Angry Tuesday

Seems like we can't go more than a few weeks without a new explosion of white hot anger on the entertainer forums lately. Fortunately, this time it's happening at a convenient time.

I want all that anger. I need it. This friday at the cantina crawl, let it all out. Dance angry, dance with a passion, play music with an attitude. Give it all to the camera so I can turn it into a statement. They can suspend accounts, they can ban people, they can eliminate threads on their forums, but there's nothing they can do to silence the movies I create and publish for the general fan base. They have no control over that, and I have no qualms about using this medium in any way I see fit.

On friday, let it all out. Let it spill over. I'll take it from there.

Might I suggest a group "salute" to the buffbot-defending CSRs? Courtesy of the new "rude" emote, of course.

Ya know, I thought of that, but I figure that'd be a little to tasteless. Besides, have you ever tried to get 50 people to do an emote all at the same time?

If I happen to catch a person or two doing it individually, oh well.

I think it's time we all made "combat" bots and stuck them in the most highly sought after spawns.

strangely afk looting is against the rules you cna get your account kicked out of the game if you akf camp loot point (wodner why your not allowed to akf cmap high loot spots (ie ruining the game by taking stuff combatants are playing to get0 but are allowed to afk cmap cantinas and take business fomr active entertainers.....

can anyone say double standards?

I'd loveto see someone write a macro that would allow someone to perform every function of a combat profession, a macro that would make it impossible for others in that same profession to make credits.

If we could make such a macro and paste it up on the combat boards, make combat alts who used it, etc, I wonder how long it would take for the Devs to ban us and fix macros so it wasn't possible to do anymore. My guess is it would be done inthe next day's hotfixes, the dayafter the "problem" was discovered. (If it was done for Jedi, the hotfix would probably go in on the same day as they found out about the problem--a special mid-day fix.)

Actually, I reported an afk looter once and was told by the CSR that it wasn't against the rules.

Heh..the CSR's favorite response when we complained about buff bot owner's and their friends spamming the entertainer chat channel with anti-ATK recursive macroes was that to reprimand them for this behavior would inhibit their "right to freedom of speech". No joke! TheCSRssaid this.

If you could do that you will certainlybe crownedmuch smarter than everyone else in the game. I would love to see you create a macro that can hunt krayts or NS's effectively without getting yourself killed and/or getting your kills stolen by a group/better profession.

There are actual combat macros in the game which can automatically attack and kill certain mobs (of course you wouldn't know this, pot, kettle....nevermind). With a Rifleman you can set them up to fight NS's and Krayts where they will never get killed and will eventually kill the Mob. Of course there are ways to beat the Rifleman out of the spawn (just like there are ways to beat out bots). But a 'combat bot' that can go around and kill everything in an area is kind of like asking a bot to be flexible and more accessible than a good Entertainer...it just won't happen.

Just a friendly "heads up" from a combatant.
