Thread: Top Five to Ten Issues for Dancer

You really cannot compare the two. If Jabba's reward was something I could wear, I'd be delivering enhanced buffs right now. I will never be given, nor be able to afford, skill tapes or dropped loot like you are talking about. Having said that, lack of male clothing choices does not need to be an issue on everyone's list. Pick the items that you think are important.
Yes there should be a male version of the exotic leotard as a quest reward (even though a dancer still needs help from combat folks to even complete this theme park). I was just pointing out to those that think there isn't male only clothes out there, that there in fact is. But its not a guarenteed drop like the schematic is a guarenteed reward and is just as difficult for dancers to purchase
(and isn't exactly on the edge of fashion either). So a start may be to get these items offered as a reward or something. Might be easier to add a pair of already existing boots to jabba's quest rather than asking for something brand new. /shrug. I am actually in agreement with you, just passing out information I know ![]()
We're really not alone in this though. Pure crafters can't get their skill tapes either and must purchase. The only difference is they actually have money where we probably dont ![]()

- AFK/Buffbot issue. Someone sleeping, working, shoppingor hunting onanother computershouldn't be able to have the full benefits of amaster dancer that is at the keyboard.
- Fix buff application. 90% of buff failures are because combat folks are confused on the application. They listened to a musician at the same time as watching me or forgot to /stopwatch that novice entertainer before /watch me. Meditate can break the buff and sometimes the buff simply doesn't apply at all. It frustrates the customer and is rather embarrassing and frustrating for the entertainer.
- Allow Dance/Music buffs to be applied at the same time again. I believe Panthu said this was a bug? Fix it please
- Dance Failures. Some of usdon't like being forced to hold a weapon when dancing just to keep upright. I don't thinkmasters should fail at all but at least lessen the failure rate (you know musicians don't fail at all /grumble).
- Add the missing flourishes. (exotics, lyrical)
- Fix the base dance of formal and lyrical so our customer sees us dancing and not sliding across the floor randomly.
- Fix /register so folks can have one less valid argument against not being able to find us.
- Quests. The dancer quests are pathetic. I'm a master and highest pay out I've seen is 122 credits. Come on....
- Loot. Right now most loot meant for our profession is obtainable by combat folks who charge us just obnoxious prices on them. Give us some quests that give us a chance to obtain some of this loot ourselves or maybe make them drop more often to drive the price down.
- Player Theaters. Enclose it to prevent launcher pistol lag to ruin shows. Allow ban to work for the entire building not just backstage. Allow a entrance fee to watch a performance. Allow props on stage.
2) Fix entertainer district. Currently the medic specialisation increased doc buffs. Entertainer district doesn't do the same for dancers and musicians. This needs fixing ( I know it's not strictly soley a dancer one but I'm a master dancer so it's going in this list
3) Buffbots - TBH the easiest solution to this is allow multiple setperforms at once and remove the group buffing (whilst of course making it impossible using in game tools to afk auto-target players).
4) Male or unisex equivelents of the Jabba leotard. Preferably a entertainer mission reward, maybe get it added to the 10.2 theatre stuff - using a current schem with modified stats shouldn't be too hard.
5) Improve the FS quest rewards for entertainers. Make them worthwhile.
6) Give us simple performance tools that the band already uses:
/startbanddance xxxxx
/stopbanddance xxxx
/changebanddance xxxx
to encourage creativity and play in the profession
7) Cantina registration issues
8) Update computer generated and missing flo's to proper motion capped ones.
9) Dance props.
10) Provide some mechanism to decorate theatres better. Tricky one to do being as they're outside though :/

- Actually do something about unattended "play" rather than just get everyone in an uproar then let the matter drop for who knows how many months
- Fix bug that stops music and dance buffs from being applied at the same time
- Remove falling from at least master dancers and tone done the frequency for everyone
- Fix base animation for Formal and Lyrical so that others see it properly
- Add troup managementcommands like musicians have (/troupstart dancename, /troupstop, /troupchange dancename)
- Gives us a complete set of flourishes for all the dances, but not those horrific hand animated ones please
- Give all entertainers (yes, even IDs) a way to open at least one FS line in village so we can use the banked 900K/500K all of us have had for more than a year now
- Fix the %TT message with /setperform
- Make /denyservice stick across sessions and/or allow an option to automatically denyservice for anyone on ignore list
- Do away with the ability for humans to have 1100 substats (this alone would go a long way toward crippling buffbots) as it is unbalancing in all sorts of ways
- AFK/BuffBots
- Repair Broken Dances (formal/lyrical)
- More Florishes (exotic, etc...)
- More Dances
- More Clothes/More Color Options for Clothing (OK I know for tailors, but I loooove clothes hehe)
- Group /startdance; /changedance; /stopdance commands
- Allow nudging - so we can adjust our positions without stopping and starting dancing again.
- Buff notification
- Dancer props; fans, flowers, etc..
- Better missions - better content/better pay.
- BuffBots/AFK grinding- specifically, make buffbots and unattended gameplay illegal and then do something about them (suspension/ban).
- Repair Broken Dances/Add Florishes - I think these two items go hand in hand. Formal and lyrical make us look stupid and the limited number of florishes at Master Dancer levelis laughable (or would be if it wasn't so irritating).
- Get RID of the Fall! At least at the Master Dancer level. To me is shows a complete lack of respect on the part of the developers to allow Master Dancers to look as uncoordinated as toddlers. I think that just CORRECTING numbers 2 and 3 of my list would be enough to make me happy for a while and I'd be willing to wait a little longer for new dances.
- Buffing - a) allow patrons to get joint buffs from bothmusicians and dancers again by watching and listen to them at the same time, b) give entertainers an EASY interface by which they control the buff mechanics and can see whether or not the patron actually did get the buff.
- Self Buffing - this deserves its own entry to the list as far as I'm concerned. Master Dancers and Musicians should be able to self buff. We don't need the minisculeXP gained, thus effectively negating the arguement that entertainers would gain XP points from buffing themselves.
- Group /startdance; /changedance; /stopdance commands - this only makes sense to allow for a fuller role playing and emersive game experience.
- Allow Masters to redeem additional XP for something other than FS in the same manner that faction points can be used. Imagine trading XP points for specialty props and/or clothes with added mind enhancement properties.
- Give entertainers a purpose in the Jedi quest. Put a cantina in the town. Allow us to work our way up the persuasion tree/healing tree without requiring us to change our template.
That will have to do for now - need to get ready for work!
2. Fix Theatres
3. Fix falling at least for masters
4. Make entertainer buffs on par with Doc buffs. Why can't ours last as long? Also why not have them boost as much? I think it might be beneficial for the community if both Musicians and Dancers could buff all 3 stats in stead of having them broken up between the two profs.
5. Make entertainer quests actually worth doing and scale to the skill of the ent.
6. Fix registration
that's all i can think of atm

2. AFK Macrotaining needs to be outta the game, one way or another.
3. Buffing issues: we need confirmation that our buffs have taken (more than just seeing the mind bar increase.), and it sure would be nice to get rid of the silly "You have directed your performance to %TT" thing.
4. Theaters: They are useless beyond all belief--add healing to the stages, let usfurnish the stages, make droid effects show on the stage instead of the ground underneath.
5.Fix the broken dances and give more flourishes to the ones that currently don't have 8 unique flourishes.
6. Missions need to provide a viable income for Entertainers, it should alsobe easier to obtain factionalEntertainer quests.
7. Change the instrument voices so there are more than 5 available.
8.Add moreclothes suitablefor male Dancers
10. Add commands similar to the Musicians' band commands. Commands like/starttroupe and /changetroupedancewould make choreography much more doable.

7)Drifting. Some dances are drifting horribly, a perfect lineup looks horrible after a few minutes of doing some dances. Why can't you just "anchor" a dancer to the spot he/she started? Once a flourish is done you end on that spot again. A flourish starts on that spot. (Dances where the auto-dance moves around a lot, like Formal/Lyrical would perhaps need a special treatment here, since it would look strange if you warp over the dancefloor when starting a flourish, but dances like Popular 2 or some other with drifting would profit from it.
