You really cannot compare the two. If Jabba's reward was something I could wear, I'd be delivering enhanced buffs right now. I will never be given, nor be able to afford, skill tapes or dropped loot like you are talking about. Having said that, lack of male clothing choices does not need to be an issue on everyone's list. Pick the items that you think are important.

Yes there should be a male version of the exotic leotard as a quest reward (even though a dancer still needs help from combat folks to even complete this theme park). I was just pointing out to those that think there isn't male only clothes out there, that there in fact is. But its not a guarenteed drop like the schematic is a guarenteed reward and is just as difficult for dancers to purchase (and isn't exactly on the edge of fashion either). So a start may be to get these items offered as a reward or something. Might be easier to add a pair of already existing boots to jabba's quest rather than asking for something brand new. /shrug. I am actually in agreement with you, just passing out information I know

We're really not alone in this though. Pure crafters can't get their skill tapes either and must purchase. The only difference is they actually have money where we probably dont

Top Five Issues for me

1. Get rid of falling. All of it. Its purposeless. Musicians never miss a note, never break an instrument, never sound bad, never have a "learning curve". We do not lose any xp for falling, we are given the normal flourish xp, it won't interrupt a buff or healing of mind wounds. It therefore only affects one thing, look and cohesion for performance. Since the dancer is not required to be a performer to be a dancer,it hurts the one truly creative part of dance. Get rid of it, save yourself from having to right that one extra animation in all dances.

2. Finish all the dances with 8 distinct stop-motion-capture animations. Get rid of the travesties of the computer generated ones in rhythmic, footloose, formal and poplock.

3. Give us dances that actuallylook differentfrom each other in levels. Right now we only have basic, rhythmic, footloose, formal, poplock, popular, lyric and exotic (since all 4 of the exotics together only have enough distinct flourishes to count as one dance) That's 8 dances with 4 of them being in entertainer. Cooks do not just get 4 receipes, crafters 4 schematics, doctors 4 wound packs, combat people 4 maneuvers. Musicians again have more distinct songs then we have distinct dances. We effectively get nothing for Mastering Dance.

4. Give us simple performance tools that the band already uses:

/startbanddance xxxxx

/stopbanddance xxxx

/changebanddance xxxx

to encourage creativity and play in the profession

5. Give us profession specific clothes and make them unisexed. Things only novice dancer/musician (heck I'd take this without the profession requirement)can wear male and female. bow ties, mini skirts, boas, fans, special masks or hats, capes, show outfits, thigh high boots, mesh, scintilatting and semi-transparent and sequined fabrics.

6. add new dances

7. Player cantinas, give us different stage setups, floor plans, lighting alteration, a dressing room.

8. Make entertainer quests, not just missions, quests fit into the theme parks and other backdrops appropriate to the profession.

9. Give us the ability to section off a band/troupe for minute commands in flourishing ex. 10 dancers divides into group 1 with 3 dancers, group 2 with 4 dancers and group 3 with 3 dancers. Choreographer can assign a section leader who can only flourish their section or can flourish sections and change and stop by use of line text. Make this as well for musicians.

10. add dance props. Chairs, snakes, rings, ribbons, fans, boas, mirrors, hats, veils, canes etc

  1. AFK/Buffbot issue. Someone sleeping, working, shoppingor hunting onanother computershouldn't be able to have the full benefits of amaster dancer that is at the keyboard.

  2. Fix buff application. 90% of buff failures are because combat folks are confused on the application. They listened to a musician at the same time as watching me or forgot to /stopwatch that novice entertainer before /watch me. Meditate can break the buff and sometimes the buff simply doesn't apply at all. It frustrates the customer and is rather embarrassing and frustrating for the entertainer.

  3. Allow Dance/Music buffs to be applied at the same time again. I believe Panthu said this was a bug? Fix it please

  4. Dance Failures. Some of usdon't like being forced to hold a weapon when dancing just to keep upright. I don't thinkmasters should fail at all but at least lessen the failure rate (you know musicians don't fail at all /grumble).

  5. Add the missing flourishes. (exotics, lyrical)

  6. Fix the base dance of formal and lyrical so our customer sees us dancing and not sliding across the floor randomly.

  7. Fix /register so folks can have one less valid argument against not being able to find us.

  8. Quests. The dancer quests are pathetic. I'm a master and highest pay out I've seen is 122 credits. Come on....

  9. Loot. Right now most loot meant for our profession is obtainable by combat folks who charge us just obnoxious prices on them. Give us some quests that give us a chance to obtain some of this loot ourselves or maybe make them drop more often to drive the price down.

  10. Player Theaters. Enclose it to prevent launcher pistol lag to ruin shows. Allow ban to work for the entire building not just backstage. Allow a entrance fee to watch a performance. Allow props on stage.

Copying what Goldy said here because I agree completely.

1) Fix the dances. Whilst it may require quite a bit of effort this IMO is the number one problem. Not tooo worried about the general flo side more the fact that some of the base dances are plain broken. We can work round limited flo's but not broken base dances.

2) Fix entertainer district. Currently the medic specialisation increased doc buffs. Entertainer district doesn't do the same for dancers and musicians. This needs fixing ( I know it's not strictly soley a dancer one but I'm a master dancer so it's going in this list ).

3) Buffbots - TBH the easiest solution to this is allow multiple setperforms at once and remove the group buffing (whilst of course making it impossible using in game tools to afk auto-target players).

4) Male or unisex equivelents of the Jabba leotard. Preferably a entertainer mission reward, maybe get it added to the 10.2 theatre stuff - using a current schem with modified stats shouldn't be too hard.

5) Improve the FS quest rewards for entertainers. Make them worthwhile.

6) Give us simple performance tools that the band already uses:
/startbanddance xxxxx
/stopbanddance xxxx
/changebanddance xxxx
to encourage creativity and play in the profession

7) Cantina registration issues

8) Update computer generated and missing flo's to proper motion capped ones.

9) Dance props.

10) Provide some mechanism to decorate theatres better. Tricky one to do being as they're outside though :/

Just as a note, TH has mentioned this in the past in relation to the patios on houses and guild halls (somehow I think he forgot to mention theaters). He basiclysaid it was possible, but difficult to enclose the outside areas in invisible walls.... So they've at least put some thought into this, but no telling if they really care about implementing it. Still, it's a great issue for the top 10.

  1. Actually do something about unattended "play" rather than just get everyone in an uproar then let the matter drop for who knows how many months

  2. Fix bug that stops music and dance buffs from being applied at the same time

  3. Remove falling from at least master dancers and tone done the frequency for everyone

  4. Fix base animation for Formal and Lyrical so that others see it properly

  5. Add troup managementcommands like musicians have (/troupstart dancename, /troupstop, /troupchange dancename)

  6. Gives us a complete set of flourishes for all the dances, but not those horrific hand animated ones please

  7. Give all entertainers (yes, even IDs) a way to open at least one FS line in village so we can use the banked 900K/500K all of us have had for more than a year now

  8. Fix the %TT message with /setperform

  9. Make /denyservice stick across sessions and/or allow an option to automatically denyservice for anyone on ignore list

  10. Do away with the ability for humans to have 1100 substats (this alone would go a long way toward crippling buffbots) as it is unbalancing in all sorts of ways

  1. AFK/BuffBots

  2. Repair Broken Dances (formal/lyrical)

  3. More Florishes (exotic, etc...)

  4. More Dances

  5. More Clothes/More Color Options for Clothing (OK I know for tailors, but I loooove clothes hehe)

  6. Group /startdance; /changedance; /stopdance commands

  7. Allow nudging - so we can adjust our positions without stopping and starting dancing again.

  8. Buff notification

  9. Dancer props; fans, flowers, etc..

  10. Better missions - better content/better pay.

1) Fix broken base dances (Formal/Lyrical)that we have had to use since launch, thats almost 15 months. They make us look stupid.

2) Make 8 'real' flourishes for each dance, not the none-motion captured ones because they make us look stupid.

3) Fix falling. At least at master give it an on/off option. Falling doesn't affect buffs, it doesn't affect how fast you heal battle fatigue, soits not really a critical fail, it just makes us look stupid. As does having to dance holding a weapon. Stupid stupid stupid.

4) Fix entertainer missions.

4a) They should pay really well...im talking the equivelant of an Enraged Rancor etc mission maybe more.

4b) Take much longer time to complete (like an hour)

4c) Be interactive and none-afk-able.

4d) Send the performer to many different locations and venues. Theatres, Cantinas, Player cities, Themeparks etc All planets

The effect this might have are:

4e) Spread entertainers around the galaxy more.

4f) Give them a reliable solid income.

4g) Give them oppertunities to meet far more entertainers and customers as they travel (after all isn't this billed as a social prof?)

4h)It mightease a little of the buffbot tension, if we have a fun, interactive, none-afk-able,reliable means of income let the buffbots have buffing.

5) Make Cantinas a little less 'samey'. Okay a lot less 'samey'. In fact make some new cantina models please. And populate them a little. And give them toggle-able background music. And not just that darnMos Eisley theme. Think 'image design tents'. Kthnxbye.

  1. BuffBots/AFK grinding- specifically, make buffbots and unattended gameplay illegal and then do something about them (suspension/ban).

  2. Repair Broken Dances/Add Florishes - I think these two items go hand in hand. Formal and lyrical make us look stupid and the limited number of florishes at Master Dancer levelis laughable (or would be if it wasn't so irritating).

  3. Get RID of the Fall! At least at the Master Dancer level. To me is shows a complete lack of respect on the part of the developers to allow Master Dancers to look as uncoordinated as toddlers. I think that just CORRECTING numbers 2 and 3 of my list would be enough to make me happy for a while and I'd be willing to wait a little longer for new dances.
  4. Buffing - a) allow patrons to get joint buffs from bothmusicians and dancers again by watching and listen to them at the same time, b) give entertainers an EASY interface by which they control the buff mechanics and can see whether or not the patron actually did get the buff.

  5. Self Buffing - this deserves its own entry to the list as far as I'm concerned. Master Dancers and Musicians should be able to self buff. We don't need the minisculeXP gained, thus effectively negating the arguement that entertainers would gain XP points from buffing themselves.

  6. Group /startdance; /changedance; /stopdance commands - this only makes sense to allow for a fuller role playing and emersive game experience.

  7. Allow Masters to redeem additional XP for something other than FS in the same manner that faction points can be used. Imagine trading XP points for specialty props and/or clothes with added mind enhancement properties.

  8. Give entertainers a purpose in the Jedi quest. Put a cantina in the town. Allow us to work our way up the persuasion tree/healing tree without requiring us to change our template.

That will have to do for now - need to get ready for work!

1. Fix broken dances/finish missing flourishes
2. Fix Theatres
3. Fix falling at least for masters
4. Make entertainer buffs on par with Doc buffs. Why can't ours last as long? Also why not have them boost as much? I think it might be beneficial for the community if both Musicians and Dancers could buff all 3 stats in stead of having them broken up between the two profs.
5. Make entertainer quests actually worth doing and scale to the skill of the ent.
6. Fix registration
that's all i can think of atm

1) Let us queue /flourish and /bandflourish. Only one would be more than enough. Its done in combat to counter the lag, why not for us? We hit a flourish while one is running and as soon as its done the server already starts the next one, without switching back to the autodance. That way we could do performances with Lyrical/formal since the autodance doesn't suddenly move every dancer in a different direction.

2) Buffbots. make them go away. somehow. Just fix the Idle-Timer for example. Don't allow any macro to keep you ingame for longer than 30 minutes if you don't access the keyboard or the mouse. If someone is online and buffing 23/7 its pretty easy to find out that they use some 3rd party tool to accomplish that, or are account sharing.

3) Falling. Really really really annoying if you try to do a dance performance with 4 or 5 dancers, since every 3rd flourish or so one will fall down. And that with only *Master* Dancers. Sorry, but thats stupid. Ever watched a musical? The rate we fall the audience wouldn't stop laughing or being annoyed over the clumsyness of the so called professional dancers.

4) Give us a way to optain Mind Enhancer SEAs without killing Nightsister Elders. Even though they should fall over screaming and getting eye-cancer once we start Poplock 2 in front of them, they usually don't We're dancers. We should have a chance to get stuff that benefits us by dancing not by killing NPCs. Most of it is bought at outragious prices by some guild that sponsors a buffbot. A dancer just can't afford 20 million for a +10 SEA.

5) Fix Exotic and Lyrical/Formal. Means give us more than 2 different flourishes each dance and fix the autodance on Lyrical/Formal, so it can actually be used

6) Give us a /bandsync command, so we can syncronize the autodance with other dancers easier. A /bandchangedance would also be great.

7)Drifting. Some dances are drifting horribly, a perfect lineup looks horrible after a few minutes of doing some dances. Why can't you just "anchor" a dancer to the spot he/she started? Once a flourish is done you end on that spot again. A flourish starts on that spot. (Dances where the auto-dance moves around a lot, like Formal/Lyrical would perhaps need a special treatment here, since it would look strange if you warp over the dancefloor when starting a flourish, but dances like Popular 2 or some other with drifting would profit from it.

8) Entertainer missions: They are a joke, I doubt anyone ever does them. Payout sucks, and the ones i tried didn't even work. You can combine that with No4 and give us a (small) chance of obtaining some Dancer specific SEAs while doing that mission (but please, not only +1s.)

9) More Content, like the Hutt Casino

10) I like the lightswitch idea someone had. Don't stop only at cantina's though, make it possible to customize the light everywhere.

[Edit: added a few new ideas, and changed priorities]

1. Buffbots! They need to be eliminated. (ELIMINATED. In other words, not slowed down, not discouraged, not inconvenienced, not made more difficult to do. Totally stopped.)
2. AFK Macrotaining needs to be outta the game, one way or another.
3. Buffing issues: we need confirmation that our buffs have taken (more than just seeing the mind bar increase.), and it sure would be nice to get rid of the silly "You have directed your performance to %TT" thing.
4. Theaters: They are useless beyond all belief--add healing to the stages, let usfurnish the stages, make droid effects show on the stage instead of the ground underneath.
5.Fix the broken dances and give more flourishes to the ones that currently don't have 8 unique flourishes.
6. Missions need to provide a viable income for Entertainers, it should alsobe easier to obtain factionalEntertainer quests.
7. Change the instrument voices so there are more than 5 available.
8.Add moreclothes suitablefor male Dancers

9. Put in a male version of the Jabba's themepark leotard.
10. Add commands similar to the Musicians' band commands. Commands like/starttroupe and /changetroupedancewould make choreography much more doable.

Yeah, it's actually not the flourishes themselves that cause drift, it's where you start them from. Every flourish I've tested has ended exactly where it started. The drift happens when a flourish starts while the core dance has moved you out of position. Personally I dislike drift, but there are a lot of dancers who find it useful in their perfomances...controlling it so they can move around the room to customers, dancing around objects, that sort of thing. A solution, I suppose, could be to make the core dance a flourish in and of itself, so you can only start a flourish at the point where the core dance loops. But, that would lead to the dances just turning ugly IMHO. I can deal with drift if that was the only other option.
