I'll buy it cuz I have to collect all the dances... I'm dumb like that but it seems kinda .... pfffft. lol I never got that wookiee thing. Friends told me it was really just combat stuff so I've never been to the amazing wookiee world. I almost got it just so I run around and pet everything.

The only nice thing about it for entertainersis the outdoor cantina, which could be a great venue
for hosting events. And yes, you can give inspiration buffs there.

outdoor cantina you say. That's a fantastic spot for events.... very cool

If Dancers get new dance props, then Musicians should get a new instrument. Instruments are our "props" after all.

Alternatively, a microphone or speaker prop that can be dropped a la the Nalargon would work, too.

And what's up with Image Designers? They get nothing for their $30 expansion?

I dunno....first of all, $30 is a lot just for a download. The Total Experience cost $30, and that was for the base game, jump to lightspeed, AND the new Rage of the Wookiees expansion.

If just the Trials of Obi-Wan expansion is costing $30 and is strictly a download, this better be one GIGANTIC expansion, and if there isn't even a space zone, I don't see the justification for it. The pricing is wrong, in my opinion.

And the content for us doesn't really seem to warrant paying that much for it. New stuff is awesome, but not one new song for $30. And 3 vehicle slots that we should've had added months ago anyways (BARC added, V-35 added, XP-38 added, AB-1 added, AV-21 added, Jetpack added, and NOW they're adding more vehicle slots and charging us for it? Pretty slick for them...)

I'm really wondering about ToOW... I have two accounts, three characters total... and my dancer is on the one without the high-level combat characters most likely to get all the benefits of the thing. I don't want to miss this dance, but I don't want to buy ToOW twice right now...

Do you want to pay $30 (REAL MONEY, by the way, not credits) for a single dance and prop?

I don't think it's worth it.

Wow. Nice to know that Entertainers are getting more props and dances. Meanwhile worthy content is at this point lacking. Perhaps the planet will come with many quests for entertainers as well. If not like many have already said it may not be worth it. I am looking forward to the first enviromental hazard in the game: lava. I was wondering if such a thing would ever happen. For example I always thought that Tatooine and its deserts should need some form of protective clothing, especially for Mon Cals. Or how about the high mountains on Corellia that are covered in snow? I try to at least role play that stuff. Ah well. Here's to more hope /cheers. :/

Crap, I dunno about this. I'll probably be buying it for Fuschia... but I can't really justify the cost for Ava. Heck, she doesn't even have ROTW. No reason to.

At this point I am inclined to agree.

Much will depend on the manner in which you get these things. If it's one of the Kashyyyk style quests where you have to travel to different planets, kill things, and do space missions in order to get it, I won't even consider trying it. Even if it's just going and doing more Theater-quest style quests, ugh, I hated those. And beyond that, after I get the 2 schematics for the new song and dance (I couldn't care less about the props to be honest), will I ever have a reason to return to Mustafar? If not, then I am paying money for an in-game item (a schematic), and I'm not sure that makes a lot of sense.

TOOT TOOT- That's the sound of the SOE boatsailing and missing the entertainment community.

Uh, oh, look on the dock, that's the entertainment community that didn't hold a ticket to get on the boat to begin with!

How SOE boat left us- An absolutley brillant concept of entertainers in their SWG game. Wow, it was so fresh so much interaction with other players geeze, there's social interaction. But, that was two years ago. Now, a days, the twitch and I want it NOW community demand no down time. So, SOE accomdates them by virtually eliminating the need for entertainers in the game. Basically, instead of devising a way to where entertainers would interact with the entire community in a fun way for the want it now crowd, they destoryed the very concept of entertainers in the game. They replace the basic concept of player interaction with, props, dances, music, and maybe a NPC mission or two. HEY, the entertainers want player interaction FACILITATED by the game. With no need for that interaction, we are rendered superfilious to game play and basically have the same game play function as cheerleaders for a football game. We used to be on the field, but now we are on the sidelines, cheering our little heads off at a game that has no fans present. Props, dances, and music do not equate to game play interface and new prop's, dances, and music while quailfying for a wide use of the term content; they truly don't cut the mustard on what the issue is with entertainers.

Why we aren't holding tickets- The SOE boat is not going to social interaction land. We can demand that the boat be diverted to social interaction land, but since we are not the captian and just third class passengers, the gate to talk to the captain is locked and will not be opened even if an iceberg is hit and the boat sinks. We want the game to incorporate us into game play and SOE is working determinedly to prevent us from being included in game play. A game that has facilitated social inertaction is not the easiest thing to design. Its a lot easier to run the game along traditional twitch and I wantit NOW community lines (after all these are the bulk of the customers). SOE just flat outis not going to take any steps to return the game to be along the lines it was on intial release nor are they going to take any time to redesign the function of entertainers to be a fun and CRITICAL interface for other players. If you doubt that, then explain why the social interaction players are the only one's who's function is by design made to be AFK Bot's. Let's see an AFK Bot that certainly shows SOE thinks social interaction is a valuable part of game play; that's why they made it a non-person interface totally solo-able game feature (get your master badge now without spending one nano-second on ATK)! Which gets to why we aren't holding tickets, because that boat isn't going where we want to go.

With the above said, and its been said in many different ways for years now, we need to understand there will never be any true entertainer content added to the game, becuase our characters are no longer needed for game play BY DESIGN. Understanding that we can:

a. Reduce our expectations for entertainer classes, thengiggle, ewww, and awww for the kewl new dances and props.

b. Move on to another class and start interfacing with the game again

c. Quit

Geeze, I guess what disappointes me is that this game was so close to being so much more than a run of the mill on line game and then SOE just seemed to work very hard at letting that concept slip through its fingers and reduce the game to your average on-line game concept.

So, will I buy the new expansion? Probably, yes. Giggle, ewww, and awwww, an GRRRRRRRRRRRR!

I don't see the point in buying it if not.

whlie the outdoor cantina on kash is decent.. to think that its worth the money just to have an event there is nutz..

Just find a ranger with a nice big feild base and drop it where ever.. or better yet use on of the 100's of really cool places that there is no content still.. 2 years after launch. Jawa village, ewok village, maurader base, soem of the varrious ruins, the oasis on tat.. ect tons of places that you dont need to go blow your money on just to have an outdoor party.

On a side note.. yea its totaly rdiculous that an expansion costs the same as the hole game.. for 10 bucks i would have bought it for 30.. they can keep that.. and there stuipd skiff.. (which could have been a nice vehicle but no way in hell is it worth 30 dollars in RL)

My theory is…if an expansion isn't the equivalent of half of a new game, then it's not worth the money. I'm already paying for a game with alot of problems. I'm not going to pay *more* money for additional problems. (And content that I have little interest in.)

I want depth to gameplay for all professions.
I want a freakin' GCW, the reason most players originally bought this game.
I don't want more decorative goodies and short, unimportant, stand-alone quests.

So you guys have already decided you're not going to like it. Would you prefer that I ask the devs to remove our content from the expansion?
