I knew something was giving me a headache, I thought it was the content, maybe its the colored text, maybe both.

I do agree however,if you are going to rant at least make it easy on the eyes.

"We"? No. The majority is in game AFK or you'd have nothing to complain about, that much is obvious. They're really doing it because people can race through their professions and then get bored because there's no high level content at all.

"We" should be arguing for content, not removal of features that will not add anything to the game. There should be politcal counsels, large scale wars, real character to storyline involvement, chances for lucky characters to make big changes to sub-storyarcs, etc. The game should break away some from the main story line and give us a chance to be really involved with OUR story instead of being stuck in the background doing the same repetative tasks daily.

That's why people are quitting, that's why people are afk. This will solve nothing.

Celebrate your boredom, or maybe try and make the game more fun. Your choice.

See, the problem is you don't get or understand the large scale damage that buffbots have caused to the musician and dancer professions. You don't get or understand how buffbots have stripped away economic viability, opportunites and content. That's fine that buffbots didn't affect your content, but they have affected the vast majority of ATK entertainers in a negative way. You have to start with the building blocks. Now that we finally have this to make our professions viable again economically, we can start building and asking for content. No amount of content added into the game at this point would make one damn bit of a difference with the damage of the buffbot.

Someone else in another thread made a really gross analogy using a foot. It was a good analogy though. I'll give you the short version. You've got a cut on your foot that gets infected. What do you do? Paint your toenails or go see a doctor and get it fixed before you have to cut it off. Answer: Go see a doctor. doctor=getting rid of buffbots...so that next week, when your foot is all healed up you can go paint your toenails and make them look pretty. (ie, add more content)

It seems whiners in this game have a louder voice than anyone else but they can kiss my 15 dollars a month good bye I will purchase a different different game where the developers arent always changing everything in the game on a constant level.

I believe that if they made it to where people buffing had to do it somewhere else besides the cantina and if they did that they wouldnt be able to heal bf for mind wounds unless in a cantina and the buffs would be lower grade if the player didnt have bf and mind wounds healed first then the afk aspect of entertainer would be solved. If a entertainer had their own cantina set then they would be able to heal and buff there but not in public cantina's

Thank you for speaking up because that was exactly my point. New players should not have to play an entirely different game from what was there at the beginning. This is the established low level content, they need to work on adding new conent instead of constantly altering things that have been around since the release of this game. EQ pumps out expansions and content every few months, SWG trickles content that should have been here long ago like a dried up stream.

Well phooey then. I should cancel my account and quit this game because I can't get to Master Image Designer in 15 minutes like they were able to do when the game first came out. How dare they make changes that they think will fix the game!

Where the heck did you get that from? The macro that allowed you do master image design in 3 hours had nothing to do with being afk because you had to be at the keyboard to use it. The newIDwindow has already changed that and image design is now the most painful grind ever imagined.

Hmm, you raise a good point. I think I'll send back my copy of Windows to Microsoft and ask for a refund based on the fact that they added security patches that no longer allow me to write the viruses people wrote before I had my copy. This practice is discriminatory against new users of Windows, and what's more, they continue to do it. Instead of making my copy of Windows easier to use with patches, they keep ruining the security holes that had been available since launch.

Edited to make this constructive.
My point is that this game's very description says that it's an ever changing beast. It's the nature of the MMORPG. The game's rating even has a disclaimer saying it could change at any time. I'm sorry if you can't deal with the changes, and if not, then maybe you're better off buying KOTR, since that's not ever changing. But I'm happy to pay monthly charges knowing that my game will be ever improved.

Except Microsoft didn't make the viruses so therefore you point falls flat on it's face. Sony added the commands and gave us the ability to do this, now a year later they decided to take it away after we've all become used to it. There's definately something wrong with that. If they didn't want us to have it, they should've taken it away in the beginning when it wouldn't have effected us much at all. Now I have to waste 5 minutes creating a longer macro, thanks SOE...problem solved?

The principle is the same.

There was a change between how ID worked before and how it works now. Before it was easy; now it's difficult. Now it's lot of sitting around watching your screen as each 10 minute stat migration ticks past.

Before you could set your dance and leave for a few days, come back and have a master dancer. Now you'll have to actually come back to the computer and restart your macro.

In each profession there are really big changes between where the game started and now. To say "Well, since I couldn't level my character in easy mode like those other people, I quit" is silly.

SOE didn't make the buffbot's macro either. SOE had the ability to recursive macro. Microsoft had the ability to call into their code in such a way as to run a virus. Both realized they made mistakes, and are fixing them. I agree they should have taken it away at the beginning. Then it would appease a lot of people who are upset about changing their ways. Instead of you being angry about your 5 minutes wasted creating a longer macro, you would have 'used' those 5 minutes earlier in your career and not been angry about it.
But they didn't remove it earlier. Not when they lacked the foresight to see the massively growing AFK populations. Not when months ago the entertainer community first brought up its concerns. For that matter, the United States didn't do away with slavery in its first eighty someodd years of existence. Would you argue that because they didn't fix the issue quickly enough, they shouldn't have fixed it at all?
/slap self for making an analogy to slavery, but the issue is with the fact that a delayed fix is still a fix, and deserves to exist.

Uh look at my registration date lol, I've mastered all of my professions through the ways that are being removed. I'm not quitting...As far as ID I agree with that because it was way too fast, but now they broke it of course. Dancer takes the same amount of time with or without macros, but the repetative button pushing is idiotic. You cannot walk away for days because one you have to be there to train and two the servers restart at 7 am everyday, so you do have to come back to your computer. Looping macros was only good for a few hours no matter how you look at it and it hasn't changed a thing because you can still write out long macros that do the exact same thing. Waste of time and energy that could've been put forth to actual content.

You're absolutely right! So lets get rid of mounts, vehicles, player cities, mind buffs, the new dungeons, just to name a few. Sure don't want the game to change and evolve over time, it must be frozen in it's original state.

Oh and use a font color people can read.
