You're lucky then. I've had to sit in a med center for an hour letting my wounds auto-heal because while there were plenty of "doctors" around they were all AFK and healing AFK tumblers. All my requests for "Could anyone please heal my wounds?" "Does anyone need medic exp or a nice tip? I have a lot of quickness wounds!" or even "Hello? are any of you actually here?" fell on deaf ears. In the busiest cities on the server in a room with 15 - 20 so-called "players" in it.

The doctors that buff people will sometimes heal wounds as well.

Not to mention I dont need to find a doctor every 2-4 missions to heal my wounds.

Personally, I don't think a lack of entertainers will cause folks to leave the game. Some of you may remember a time when many combatants had picked up novice entertainer so that they could heal BF and wounds. A lot of combatants have novice medic. If you are really in bad shape for BF and mind wounds just hit up any major Npc city and find the Entertainer trainer. Drop novice medic and pick up Entertainer then when you are healed up switch back.

If any changes would be needed I'd think perhaps the healing abilities at novice ent could be increased and perhaps some healing modifiers put into the droids (similar to those of doctors droids) andmaybe more options for bf healing in bio engineered clothes.

Auto healing is already available in any cantina. There is no need to bring in NPC's or anything else. If combatants think that it's too slow, let the combatants petition for faster auto healing in the cantinas.

While most of the responses been polite, and the start of this thread seemed well thought out. I can not support this idea of Entertainer NPC's. The reasons that we're having this thread in the first place is due to all the auto-bot's now filling the cantina's. Why would SOE work on getting rid of them and put NPC's in their places?

As for the lack of entertainers, there have been a few of the NON-major cities at non-peak hours with no entertainers. Just as they're also no doctors in those cities. The main reason those areas have no entertainers, is there is little reason for entertainers to go to some of the cities. Theed is aways crowded, so is Mos Eisley, Bestine, Anchorhead, Coronet and a few others. It's because there's vendor's, starports, and hunting in the area's for all professions. On Naboo, if you head to Kenren or Kaadara, other than a starting city, there's no reason to stick around unless you're a Bounty Hunter. I know others besides myself that went to some of these cities looking to dance and hope for better tips, only to find no one there. Or one player comes in an hour, does not speak to the dancer, even though I've talked to them. Then get up and leave without a word, or tip.

It's not worth a entertainers time for some of these places. Just like in RL, in remote areas, you won't find a doctor, or gas station or anything else. You have to plan on getting back to an area to get your BF healed, to get your wounds healed. It's just some players don't want to spend one second longer away from hunting to get such stuff done.

So you think the game should beaimed onlyto those players at the expense of the entertainment profession? Then why bother with Tailors? Armorsmiths, Weaponsmiths, or any other crafting profession, just put armor and weapons on all the creatures and just have fighting professions and nothing else.

I'm sorry, I could never support anything, whether it's video's or NPC's that would take away from the entertainer professions.

Bah. If tehre is a demand, then there will be a supply. Remove bots and see what happens. Don't cater to antisocial people unable to keep track of a few entertainers in their playtimes.

And to those looking for entertainers: Treat them better, and more will keep dancing and playing.

Christ, Denira. My post was a joke, PistolDances was a joke. This isn't you using our logic against us. This is a GAME forum. A GAME forum. You're attacking us for no reason at all, defending a point that ceases to exist. Please, get over yourself.

Vendors.

Oh really you can get that special order item made without having to ever interact with the crafter or the crafter to ensure that the customer picks up their special order? Interesting since my best friend is a master tailor and she has to deal with customers all the time.

Yes... for that special personalized touch you track down the crafter. For run-of-the-mill, you use their vendor. And since you're comparing the two, the equivilant for an Entertainer would be?

I think instead of putting in Entertainer NPCs, they should chain the current PC Entertainers to their chairs with their eyes wired open.

That'd be FRICKIN AWESOME.

How about we put in NPC combat types instead of having to rely upon other human beings for resources. That'd be FRICKEN AWESOME.

Those are called harvesters

Oh I didn't know that you can get herbivore or avian meat from a harvester. /rolls eyes

Man why does everyone on these forums have to be so rude when faced with any kind of opposition?

It's not being rude it's called being logical using your own logic against you. It's to get you to see how ridicules your 'idea' was when it was applied directly to your profession from a different viewpoint.

Can we get holorecordings of combat types killing things for resources and get the resources for free?

Well people wouldnt be getting the droid vids for free if Im understanding everyones point correctly. Along with helping people heal their buff without visiting a cantina so often and dealing with possible loss of available entertainers due to the loop nerf it would be a great way to suuplement entertainer incomes.

Unless you want to give them out for free.

What about those of us who don't want to visit outside of our homes when we're crafting? I think those type of anti-social players should be rewarded for having never to deal with a combat type at all. /rolls eyes

How is hiring an entertainer to make a recording for you anti-social? I guess it would be better if they just sat in the cantina, watched you, didnt say a word and didnt tip you.

Interesting since when faced with your own warped logic it falls apart when faced against the same logic. The only thing that your entire argument proves is how demeaning andselfish of what this 'idea' does. I merely used your own statements against you and when you decided to get smart with me about the harvesters I showed that you hadn't the forsight to think that through because I was coming from a doctor's point of view who needs those two type of resources they need for meds. Oh that's right, you can't think outside of your own little world to look at the big picture from other points of view.

I wasnt getting smart with you, stop the attitude please, I was making a joke. I am a doc, I know what goes into gathreing resources. But you dont need to be social to do it, and why would you choose doc if you werent social, its a support profession?

Oh that's right, you can't think outside of your own little world to look at the big picture from other points of view.

Whats your point of view? That a player has to be social in SWG in order to be rewarded for hard work?

And you dont have to be social to be a crafter, any master crafter can also master ranger harvesting abilites and have enough skill points left over to be skilled enough in combat to collect the resources they need.

You have no logic and only attitude in your replies.

Interesting because a crafter does have to be socialable in order to deal with customers or for items they themselves cannot get. Not one person is able to achieve everything alone in this game due to the interdependency built in. As me not having logic and when I used your own arguments against you from another point of view that must mean that you have no logic.
