Instant quests, like the corvette is what we need. We go to the DWB and when you enter it it is set for you and your group, no stealing of loot cause you are not in the same bunker as anyone else. I also had fun doing the Krayt skull missions, I just wish we had more like that.
And what happened to the GCW quests?

Yeah! I liked the Krayt skull quest as well! The quest could have been polished a bit better, but was a multiplanet *story* that led you on an adventure.
DWB isn't one I can talk too much about as it's a bit over my head in skill level. I went there once with a couple of friends (even with me playing my Master Fencer) and didn't get too far beyond the front door. I definitely agree it would be better as an instanced dungeon though as I recall being trained (unintentionally) a couple of times by another player there.
Another good one, albeit a little on the difficult side for inexperienced, underequipped players is the Geonosian Biolab. There is a storyline there that you can follow and interact with.
The Warren is pretty neat with story and pretty artwork to look at, but to be honest, my eyes go crossed by about mid way through with the maze like architecture of the place.
DWB, the Geo lab, and the Warren though are more combat centric than story. I would love to see a little more story and a little less "kill anything that moves" type of gameplay.
I am sure there are technical issues with making *everything* instanced, but it sure makes it nicer from a player perspective. Some of the caves on various planets are virtually permacamped.

Aakhperkare,
I am sorry you are under the impression that I am trying to moderate you. I apologize for giving you that impression.
I am also sorry you feel I am making excuses for the developers. That has never been my intention.
We are both players that are passionate about the game and we don't need to be at each others' throats because we don't agree. Why don't we leave it as you and I will agree to disagree and leave the personal attacks out of it.
I can agree to disagree. And Ican apologize for going at your throat as well.
Ya know. I used to be a defender of the developers until I started seeing how boneheaded they can be. (not saying that you are a dev defender). But reading people describe some of the in-game quests just pisses me off even more. Here we have a game based on the Star Wars trilogy. It's not like they (the developers) have to actually think of a storyline or anything. This is about the easiest game concept you could ever hope for because the content has already been written. And not only that, but you have thousands of players more than happy to think of content for you, all the devs need to do is impliment it.
And in my own experience, the Warren and a few of the quests are actually well done and are very enjoyable. So it's not like the developers are incapable of doing something right, they just choose to continue to screw things up and it's maddening.
And then being promised so many things just for them to lie to us. And when they finally do impliment something nowadays (droid invasion and imp crackdown) it's a pathetic joke. LIke they just don't give a damn to try.
I may hate my job, but I still do my damn job. So I expect the same from these developers. It's not like the devs have an overlord of a boss they tells them to make things suck, they just decide to make things suck on their own...

Excuse me for rehashing old and new complaints but the facts are the facts. and anyone who believes Soe, the dev's, and Lucas arts deserves our trust and faith either hasn't been here long or is very misinformed.
For 9 months all of us have been told (this includes all proffesions) the combat balance will fix evrything, that they were working on it and for ch our being balanced first would balance out in the end. people on the developement forum have posted hundreds of repliesfrom the devsto back all this up, if anyone wants to go there and research the lies, its all there.
After they announced the cb delays for Jedi and JTL the forums exploded. people emailed magazines websites... and got a response from Mr Blackman. basically he said they had never started a combat balance orrevamp. and that they never had a plan or set a date for one.
He also went on to say the forum people were a small community of complainers and are a minority here who dont understand what the majority of people want in the game.
So basically all the people who have been here when SWG was just a website, not even a beta version yet, and to all those that followed for beta, and on testcenter today who continue to help and assist the devs, soe, lucas arts, have been told you dont count, you dont know anything and your all complainers.
We have been lied to constantly for close to a year. how can we have faith, hope and confidence in these people???
After researching evrything that has happened and understanding how the community has been mislead and letting the volunteer correspondants take the heat for they're misleading and dishonarable conduct. I believe an apology is the least they can do andnot only to the CH community but to evryone who has played this game in the last nine months.
On another note please dont ask us to trust and have faith. thosewere freely given and destroyed now they (devs, soe,LA)must earn it back. and a statement here from them might just be a start

Looks to me like the truce was over before it started
only one end held up a flag, while the other end laughed

Honestly, I don't think the devs are being malicious about any of this. I would guess (and yes it is just my guess) that it was more a case of "the other end never even looked up long enough to see the flag." Though if they did see it I can't imagine they would truly respond in this thread. Just opens up a can of worms from all the response they'd get with it showing up on the Dev tracker. I would really love to see some communication again between the devs and the CH community, but I don't see it happening in the near future

Ok lemme ask a simple question and please keep in mind I mean this sincerely.
Why do the devs post so rarely on matters other than JTL and Jedi?
Honestly I'm just trying to understand the thought process behind this. There's bound to be some serious pressure from management to get JTL all bundled up and out the door. I'm a network/database admin and application/website programmer so I definitely understand working on a major project with a looming deadline so you go into lockdown and only respond to emergencies; however, even with a very limited staff and budget we still manage to poke our heads out from time to time and let people know we're still alive and progress on our current project is good/bad/whatever. SOE has funding the likes of which I will doubtfully ever experience and more importantly they have someone who's job title is "Community Relations Manager"
Ok am I missing something, or doesn't that pretty much mean managing... relations... with the community?
So with the JTL crunch in full effect that would mean programmers, artists, etc. are all locked away working like mad to get the expantion completed. That's totally understandable. In the meantime, wouldn't the "Community Relations Manager" and other such SOE liaisons to the Players be expected to continue communicating to the player base? I'm certainly not expecting any SOE employee to drop what they are working on and come give me lots of attention. Just the occasional, "Hey we here ya!" with some info now and then on what's being worked on. Ya, I think I'd like that.
Anyway sorry for the rambling rant here. My question still stands though.

Because JTL and Jedi are their only selling points, so they think. I call it pure laziness...
