I got my reply from a thread I stated wich was deleted basically were trolls if we complain and poof ur gone. they say its a discussion forum not a complaint forum. seems to me half of the post evrywhere in the last 6 months are complaints but they are still there

at this point I dont care if i'm banned. my question has been answered. Cencorship is the policy now = they want to control what evryone reads plain and simple.

was this thread read by anyone from swg

yes they each have other names they browse the forums with. do i have proof no i dont

but if you were one of em wouldnt you

It's easy to think up ideas, comments, and criticisms. Much harderand more time-consuming to actually implement them (far more so than most people think). I guess TH could make a billion posts saying "We'd love to do that, but we just don't have the resources right now." Would that really be an effective use of his time? People hated hearing "Wait for the Combat Revamp"... but that's exactly the kind of posts you're now asking for more of.

There have been Big Things the Devs needed to focus on for the overall health of the game. Some of them expected, and some of them unexpected. This means that CH isn't under the spotlight. Thinking that "constructive feedback failed" just because ithasn't put us under the spotlight yetsuggests unrealistic expectations. The Devs do listen, and shouldn't have to make regular "We hear you but can't do anything about it yet" posts just to reassure you that this is the case.

Regular? Who said anything about regular? All we ask for is ONE good, detailed, informative post that tells us that they're listening, and here's what they're going to do about it. I.e., what we're getting for our continued support, come the Combat Revamp.

If they actually HAVE any plans for us in the Combat Revamp, that is.

Sincerely, The Devs

Ah! It's all starting to make sense now...

Sad thing is I'd settle for a lack of information if it was bundled inside an actual post from the devs. Just to see that they are paying attention.

I've been skimming through this thread and chuckling somewhat. I realize everyone has good intentions so I mean no offense by chuckling. One segment of the CH community is very vocal and nearly militant over their perception of the wrongs of the past and current plight of the CH community. The other segment is generally pretty satisfied, may have some issues, but continues to wait patiently while enjoying the game. Everyone means well.

The idea of a "truce", however, seems a bit silly. A truce according to Merriam-Webster's 11th Collegiate Dictionary is "a suspension of fighting especially of considerable duration by agreement of opposing forces." If the "war" has been with the Devs, do they even acknowledge a state of war? Have the Devs agreed to a truce as would be necessary to actually have a truce?

Sky has quite clearly defined what he meant by truce within his post. It's not very lucrative to try and re-define it for him.

The idea of players calling a truce with the Devs is like the 98 pound weakling telling the 300 pound bully that just beat him up, "come over here again and I'll knock your lights out!"

I see no reason to doubt that the Devs care. It's a matter of priority though and the universe doesn't revolve exclusively around Creature Handlers. The Devs will address all issues over time -- if you expect all issues to be addressed within a week you had probably better quit and find something else to do because it will never happen.

There area number of criticalissues we have been expecting to be addressed for a period of nearly a year. Hmm. Maybe I should quit and find something else to do.

I do agree with those that desire more and better communication as I believe communication is a big part of the problem. If we knew we'd get our issues addressed in x months that would at least set our expectations accordingly. Unfortunately, there are so many posts on all these forums that it is impossible to answer every post. If a Dev actually responded to this thread, there would no doubt be followup questions from players in addition to players from other professions asking "what about us?" -- it's a lose/lose situation, which is where the Correspondants come in. As we have seen recently, the Correspondants can't tell us everything, but at least we know they *are* working behind the scenes to improve things.

Do we? All we know is that there was a meeting in which they discussed the upcoming combat revamp. I don't see any promised combat docs, any Friday Feature.

If those currently in "truce" decide to go back to "war" I urge you to consider what your war actually consists of -- posts and conduct that often violates the Forum Policies and is a recipe for getting yourself suspended/banned. A better way to address issues is to work with the Devs and Correspondants in a constructive way and put away the hostility.

That's the general idea of this thread...

Shadow,

I am beginning to wonder if it will ever happen.

Communication is a lost art when you have been cybernetically linked with a computer, Some how all your brains dribble out on the ground andyou become a non functioning non human.

....and then no matter how hard we get nerfed, we still keep CH because we are still some of the coolest characters on the game.
