I'm going to let this thread spark my curiosity.

Some things to remember:

1. If this is anything working unintentially in our favor itcould be considered anexploit.

2. If this is something that will bring unbalance it will be balanced.

3. If this is merely something that helps us out intentionally then we can all rejoice with Dodece when he releases this info.

if its for this reason, i give him a good smeg off and tell him to get bent!

2. If this is something that will bring unbalance it will be balanced.

if its for this reason, i give him another smeg off and tell him to get bent!

if its for this reason, i give him one last smeg off and tell him to get bent!

regardless of what this sacred secret is, the style of him telling it to the public has had a pure "I know something you don't NaaNaNaa Naa Na na!!!" very bragging feeling to it, therefore he strikes me as an arrogant little(insert photo of a donkey's rear)in my opinion.

Well this, i think, has nothing to do with their secret, im just saying what i experienced in pet crafting post-CU. I did't attend any secret meetings.

I'm passionately against the power gamer FOTM mentality, so I tend to get vocal on that subject. I did encourage Dodece to keep this under wraps, but it was not out of me wanting to have the 'secret knowledge' myself, but to protect it for all CH's. At the time, like others, I had no idea what this info would be. Now that I know what it is, I can see how it could be taken advantage of by those that would take the CH profession just to be a powerful force in PVP. I don't happen to agree with that kind of gameplay, so I stuck up for Dodece's decision to hold off releasing it. As for my invite to the meeting, you saw my post--I said I was interested in it. I didn't get all frantic if I wasn't going to be able to attend, because I knew Dodece would tell us all about it when it was safer to release the info. Yes, there will always be a way for power gamers to take advantage, but holding it back wisely while the respec is going on can help minimize the FOTM rush for power. I believe he did the right thing for CH. Once the info is out you all be the judge as to what you think of it---whether it was worth holding back or if it's an exploit in your eyes. I'm just one person with an opinion. I stuck up for Dodece for the good of us CH's that truly enjoy the profession and I also did it so that only those into CH for the enjoyment could have a chance at something before it's ruined by power gamers.

Who was your reply to Freth? Wasn't clear.

I don't think it was me - context suggests otherwise - but if it was, you were one of the "one or two others" that I mentioned as being respectful in their replies.

I agree with you on the FOTM thing for sure.

The respec period is a locked in thing for two weeks. The devs are aiming at a two week period you miss the boat you miss the boat. They said it could be shorter or longer.

Perhaps I got it wrong then. The in game message that pops up however definitely said thatyou would havetwo weeks after your first post-CU login.

I'll respec all chars then more quickly than I intended to as I haven't logged in 2 of 4 accounts and especally if the two week period is fixed and that in game message wrong.

edit: but if im not wrong - then I'll wait until im good and ready before logging in my final 2 chars.

Certainly didn't think bad of you Freth! Good luck in your application for the correspondent role.

Much appreciation for Dodece. I agree with all 3 of your reasons for presenting this and the wayyou did it.

You giveincentive for an on-the-fence-but-probably-staying-with-it CH to hang in there, but not enough of a hintfor the power player to drop MBH forMCH. So, thank you, even if it does get taken away in the future.

One question: I have a miscellaneous template and am 4-2-0-4 CH. Is that sufficient to reap whatever mysterious benefit there is?

I didn't get that impression at all. He was pretty much straight-forward in his reasoning behind why he wanted to keep it under wraps. Since he discovered it I suppose he has a right to do with the info what he wants.

On a side note, it's been interesting to see the responses of certain folks who've been "nominated" (like there's a choice) for the correspondent role. If there *was* a choice I certainly would not be voting for certain people after seeing their lack of respect fortheir fellow CH in this thread.

Just two (there were a couple more) that came across as sensible in this thread were Brutalus and Riverwind. Excellent replies stated neutrally and without resorting to personal insults.

As for the "waiting until respec is over" thing - I could be wrong about this, but as I recall the message about respeccing stated that you would have two weeks after your first post-CU login. This suggests that the option to respec will remain open for any chars who haven't logged in. Quite a few (like myself) have more than one account and I haven't respecced all for sure.

My pet was made with mutant rancor DNA in agression. The difficulty was not getting armor on it, and keeping High health and high dmg. But i managed, the funny thing was that most dmg was around 700 or so, but for this one i got a lower health (mostly had 10k, now 9.2k and only a medium disease special (instead of nice cripple dizzy combo's) but the dmg was 785, i had never seen so much dmg on a BE pet before, and now for sure, enemys wont go for me, as my pet is the dmg dealer now. I stil have some DNA left, but im running out of low fortitude high health DNA to get my pets to have no armor... (funny thing pre-CU it was al about getting armor on them). Even more funny is that i have enough mutatnt rancor DNA (which was really hard to get, and almost no more easy to get no-armor DNA).

My level 69 will be full grown very soon, and i will test it against krayts and nightsisters.

Mind you, it has also pre-CU resists, so the armor rating is very low (50 kinetic vs 4500 resists is quite a difference) Thats why i want to test it before i make more.

what in the dangling corpses does that have to do with a secret power among the CH profession?
