I have a CL74 and a CL79 in my datapad from before launch, and they aren't that much better than BE CL70 pets. I have seen some stats of the new post 70 tamables, and they aren't that hot either. New BE stuff? Well sure it will be decent, but not decent enough to warrant this type of insane difficulty. And then imagine the price on those suckers. What you forget is that some of us have been around long enough to have truly uber pets...pets that blow anything in the game away right now. Hell the 79 BE rancor in my datapad was so pimp pre-cu that combined with my TKM I had at the time I could solo anything in the game but the Gorax, and I beat that with a BH friend of mine. Yeah I know, pre-cu is all old potatoes. My point here is this, that necklace isn't going to give us anything near what we used to have. My BE Rancor was nerfed stat wise to be more in line with other pets.If this necklace DID give us that type of power, I could see it being that difficult. But come on, this is only a measly +10 to taming! I suggest you look at the stats on some of these post 70 pets and tell me if you still feel the same.Hell, I'll be honest. I have a CL70 beetle that is a better pet than probably anything I can get with the necklace...I just want to be able to use my CL74 Kliknik and CL79 BE Rancor again...
You're sitting here comparing Pre-CU pets to Post-CU pets which is not going to hold water here. At the beginning of the CU my level 10 Cu Pu was more powerful then my level 63 Spider...it was all changed to try and fix the inbalance between Pre and Post. I think what you are neglecting here is the huge difference NOW between level 70 and level 80 mobs. The difference between lvl 70 and lvl 80 will most likely be more abilities slots for one, better ham, better defense, better damage, etc...I'm not saying it will be great but it will be better, especially the BE pets. If Creature Handlers really don't believe it will make a significant difference then I don't see why so many are complaining about it, it's not a big loss. I'm just really really tired of the complaints about loot...probably because I came from games where it was actually time consuming and somewhat of a challenge to obtain even slightly improved items. This is possibly the most fun, nice challenge I've had in game in a long time and it will feel like an accomplishment when and if I do obtain the necklace.
We all enjoy a challenge, everyone does but if this item is dropped from some really high level boss mob in an instanced dungeon and your not always guaranteed to get this item once you kill this boss mob as its looted... well, to me thats not a challenge, that is a pain in the bottom. The necklace should be quested and the quest should only be open to Creature Handlers and only creature handlers. The quest should be fair to allow a creature handler a good challenge but it should be completable by a creature handler and not require an uber group to complete it. I still say we need a dev to clarify if this item is loot dropped or if we need to build the item from glowing parts used in the cube.

in response to that Cerion... once you've completed the Decrepit Droid Factory, you may re-enter as often as you'd like (providing for the Lockout Timer).
I should probably ask this somewhere else.... But, is that lockout time apply to everyone? Or just the individual. I'm assuming it's like Nekro's cave, where once you're done, you can't re-enter for 30 minutes (or however long it is, really can't remember), but other players can enter. Am I correct in that assumption? I ask this, because I know that I'm going to be doing this quest regardless of the necklace, and knowing me, I will probably die on my first attempt.

To me it almost inforces repeatable play. This helps out those who still need the instance because there are still people out there questing or grindingtrying to get certain loots. This was a major problem with RotW in my opinion since when you were done the quest(Necrosisbeing the only exception)you were done with that planet pretty much.

The point of my comparison was simple, that if the necklace were to give us access to pets that were uber and not just a little bit better than what we already have, it might be worth all that crap you have to go through (if it is indeed the real method). I know what pre-cu CH was like, and I didn't have to depend on my pets as much as I do now...
In all seriousness, compare the necklace to other profession's "master" items. Hell, I looted a NON master hammer (can be used by any class,I believe its CL55)called miner's hammer or something likethat, does over 1k max dmg and extra elemental dmg, plus modifiers. It's not the necklace that will bring us up there, maybe MAYBEsome of the really high end BE pets. Being Master Pistoleer as well, I have that extra bit of damage to add to a fight but that's not the point here. Most combat professions have another companion profession, and with 2 Master weapons as good as that hammer, one for each profession, it will still be hard to compete.
A decent BE pet CL70 goes for 1mil on average on my server...imagine what the so-called "uber" CL80 BE's are gonna run...Hell, I have to harvest everything I can get and hustle that hide just to make ends meet. I have 2 vehicles to repair thanks to Mustafar and it's out of control disabling of vehicles (alas my poor skiff, already kaput), there is another 300k per kit. Now imagine if some pompous ninja looting Jedi (yeah I said it) gets his grubby little hands on the necklace...how many mil do you think it's gonna go for?
All I did to get that nice hammer was beat a blue con silver chevron named boss (had boss in his name actually). It was that easy. So why so hard for us? Doesn't make a lick of sense.
That could be, Womp...not outruling that at all...but imagine how long the combo of glowies will take to find, and then imagine what they will cost on the market...why should we be treated like this when every other profession gets their stuff easily (with the exception of one or two Jedi things)?
Come on now, we have seen the nerf bat just as many times if not more than Jedi have. We have been around longer, and have probably had our hearts broken more. I thought the point of the CH content on Mustafar was supposed to make us happy again. I will admit, my Lava Flea Guard pet with chevrons is cool, and I have a blast taming/running/taming/running rinse repeat.
Why though should we camp something to get a necklace when not only is it so easy to get other profession's stuff, but you can also go out and grab a CL70 beetle, slap some abilities on it, and have the "uber" tank? So we can pull out our old pre-cupets? Maybe tame stuff that was once tamable but then nerfed (Kliknik Queen anyone)?
Still doesn't make sense.
