Funny thing is i started to do that quest thinking it would be the mostboring one - delivering supplies


turns out its the most fun.


Find a good group and the kubazza cave can be done very quick.


That foreman is a monster keep your distance from him.

What is the big deal with CL80 pets? I have a CL74 and a CL79 in my datapad from before launch, and they aren't that much better than BE CL70 pets. I have seen some stats of the new post 70 tamables, and they aren't that hot either. New BE stuff? Well sure it will be decent, but not decent enough to warrant this type of insane difficulty. And then imagine the price on those suckers.


What you forget is that some of us have been around long enough to have truly uber pets...pets that blow anything in the game away right now. Hell the 79 BE rancor in my datapad was so pimp pre-cu that combined with my TKM I had at the time I could solo anything in the game but the Gorax, and I beat that with a BH friend of mine. Yeah I know, pre-cu is all old potatoes. My point here is this, that necklace isn't going to give us anything near what we used to have. My BE Rancor was nerfed stat wise to be more in line with other pets.


If this necklace DID give us that type of power, I could see it being that difficult. But come on, this is only a measly +10 to taming! I suggest you look at the stats on some of these post 70 pets and tell me if you still feel the same.


Hell, I'll be honest. I have a CL70 beetle that is a better pet than probably anything I can get with the necklace...I just want to be able to use my CL74 Kliknik and CL79 BE Rancor again...

And one more thing, the way this whole necklace thing was presented to us info wise from the dev team made it seem as if this was for all of us, not just an elite few. At best, the necklace will let us control a few gazillion credit BE pets or add some variety to our pet collection...nothing "elite" about that.

Also must add to agree with Kanemura's earlier post ,i also play on bria - i know several people that have run and completed the droid factory a few times and no one has mentioned the master taming necklace.


On bria the news would spread like lightning

Aye. I wasn't a Ch much before CU (didn't make amster even) but I remember my friend Leoge of Sunrunner telling me all about his bomb-ass pets. He was TKM as well, back when it was still comparable with the best. Now though CH is more of a novelty profession. I'm happythough that the Devs are showing more support after theCH revamp, especially with the skills lettingus have decenttanks, it'scool. So forget the necklace, I see it as a leisure activity to a "washed" up profession, pets won't be that much better.Still, if we get close to good pvp status with the necklace, sign me up for the ride.

there are are only a handfull of ch on each server. and loads and loads of jedi. This thingie will randomly drop on these jedi aswel. Soon they will be for sale at extremly high prices but later those prices will drop dramaticly. As for me i am the only ch in guild and if any of our caracters loot one i am sure i will get it from them.

Anyone one on Ahazi that is doing this quest or wants to please look me up. I can bring my jedi or my MCH/MRifleman. I am on the 3rd part of this quest line with my jedi already. Tazz, you doing this? I want to finish this anyway. If I ever am lucky enough to get more than 1 of these they go to my fellow MCH Free.

Ailobo is trying to assemble a team to attempt this on Ahazi, but to be honest, a CH without serious additonal combat skills has no place in it, not the way we're gimped. Ai would be helpful, she's MPikes so can tank and do some damage.


Sio is an MBH/MCH, he might have a spot, but the team will require twolevel 80 tanks, Jedi or muggle, and two dedicated healers, a mezzer (preferably an MSmuggler/MPistoleer or MSmuggler/MBH, to do damage, too) and some nukers. A CH might fit in if he's also a rifleman or BH.


Tazz won't be doing it, but Sio might. Tazz is totally gimped right now in mid glowstick grind and is useless despite his level of 80...can't deal damage, can't take it, perhaps after he has some defender skills. One thing he can do with 4000 healer is taunt to quick incap.


The other catch is that if the drop rates are accurate, it will be total luck to recover the necklace, likely something else will come up, and the loot whores are very active on Mustafar right now, camping of non-instanced quests is a serious problem.

You're sitting here comparing Pre-CU pets to Post-CU pets which is not going to hold water here. At the beginning of the CU my level 10 Cu Pu was more powerful then my level 63 Spider...it was all changed to try and fix the inbalance between Pre and Post. I think what you are neglecting here is the huge difference NOW between level 70 and level 80 mobs.


The difference between lvl 70 and lvl 80 will most likely be more abilities slots for one, better ham, better defense, better damage, etc...I'm not saying it will be great but it will be better, especially the BE pets. If Creature Handlers really don't believe it will make a significant difference then I don't see why so many are complaining about it, it's not a big loss. I'm just really really tired of the complaints about loot...probably because I came from games where it was actually time consuming and somewhat of a challenge to obtain even slightly improved items. This is possibly the most fun, nice challenge I've had in game in a long time and it will feel like an accomplishment when and if I do obtain the necklace.

Perhaps this is a dumb question, but I'm confused. Aren't these instanced quests one-shot affairs? Once you finish it, the only way to go through it again would be to group with someone who hasn't completed the mission. I guess I'm used to (and frankly tired of) the old school camping of EQ. The difference being, the mobs were accessible by everyone. This is an instanced quest, and it terminates. Won't servers eventually run of out of peeps doing the quests? At least the traffic will decrease to a point as to make the quests even more inaccessible.


Maybe I'm missing something.

I just feel sorry for the people in the same boat as me,



I have 3 kids and cant spend every hourglued to the game (and dont want too)- There for cant repeat the quest time after time . Pllus being from england on a very american dominated server, finding quest groups when im in gamedeserves a badge in its own right.



Just will be disapointed if this is all true.



Worked hard on all my pets, and on my favourite proffession.
