Thread: Vertexon's Guide to Creature Handling (v. 2.1)
One thing I did notice is that you mentioned that you can't farm on getting XP with mask scent. I have noticed if a creature unmasks me, I'll run away then re-mask and past by again. I normally getthe sameamountscout xp from doing that to the same aggressive creatures, even if it's not intentional.
I managed to qualifyand getthe CH profession and then spent about 1/2 hour trying to figure out how to tame. I was told by a friend to check the forums under professions so i did and i found this guide, It has helped me alot. After reading it i was able to tame 3 babies within 5-10 minutes and begin to teach them commands.
This guide is fabulous, Good Work![]()
Thanks again.
They can't be "released" I think. When you press destroy you either get the message,"This pet has been release back into the wild" or "This pet has been destroyed."

Hi, this was an awesome guide and was most helpful. I do have a question though... how do I "release" pets? I accidentally (and sadly) destroyed one. The others juste keep following me. And how do i give them away to people? Or must I be MCH to "transfer" a pet?

Also, if I instruct him to attack, he will agro, but crawl EXTREMELY slow toward the opponent. Can someone please give some guidance???2 - Is a Bull Rancor the highest level tamable pet in the game as of June 16, 2004?Thanks Everyone,Rigel Antares - BH
Yes the Bull Rancor is the highest but good luck finding one, I have done 100's of Bull Rancor missions with no luck so far.

It tells you both, sort of. It says that the pet control device (what you see on your datapad) has been destroyed and that the creature has been released. It's sort of a clumsy way of avoiding the weirdness of "destroying" a creature.
