Iview it as kind of like when an older brother holds the candy bar over the younger brothers head to torment him endlessly with the sweet goodness only to munch it down right in front of the poor little brother later when hes bored of the fun.......it never feels good to be the little brother does it?
but just think how fun it is to be the older brother and you will see the inspiration for this thread....lol or maybe im really bored cause the servers down......

This secret-keeping isn't hurting the power gamers.
I'm a Master Ranger; have been from day one. I chose it because I love it. I also loved CH, and took that. I love the outdoors/hunting/creature aspect of this game. Problem is, CH was just not viable as a combat class in many ways, so I needed other combat skills. I mixed melee with CH. I am NOT a power gamer; it took me literally months to master my first elite profession (ranger).
Now, with the CU, I have even fewer skill points and am forced to drop skills. I would LOVE to be a MCH/MR, but both of those professions as they are now just aren't fufilling enough for someone who wants to enjoy the combat aspect of the game. So, how do I respec? Well, as it stands, apparently I'm going to have to take Bounty Hunter (ack). It's that or Squad Leader. I'd MUCH prefer CH. I don't care about being "uber", just about having fun with the game.
If this "secret" is really going to stand, and it really is going to make CH so powerful that all the uber kiddies will want it, they are STILL going to grind CH as fast as they can. All you are doing is ensuring they spend a week grinding it out. Big whoop. For players like me, however, who don'tpower grindand play the game as it is meant to be played, you have information that could add a quality player to the ranks of CH, and save people like me months of re-grinding just to land a rewarding template.
In short, it's not the uber-kiddies you are really hurting, it's players like me, as well as your fellow CH's who have a golden opportunity with the respec to re-work their templates and the skills they worked for. If the class is going to be poweful enough to draw them, they will come no matter WHAT. It's inevitable. If it's not going to be powerful enough to draw them, there's no point in keeping things under wraps unless the idea of them respec'ing instead of power-grinding makes you so bitter that you'd screw quality players just to spite them.

why? If you wait a few months for the Devs to fix the respawn bug you can just tame a new one.

I have to argree here. If grinding CH is easy now then it isnt going to take long for powergamers to grind CH to take advantage of this great find. I dropped MCH because having to wait for your pet to attack for 30 secs before you can attack is silly. I can just attack the creature and kill it faster without the pet. My BE trio of gurrecks for Krayt hunting will become useless if I convert them.
Just tell us now so we wont be disappointed later when it turns out to not be that great

One of the big things about it is that people right now can't grind CH at all below teir 1, the XP cap is there, no one can learn more skills, which is why once the respec time is over we can tell everyone about this.
Anyway, this boost can only be used by existing CH, and it will only be available for a short period of time. that's why we can't tell everyone about it, otherwise people could just respec to CH and take all the advantage for themselves, cutting us veteren CH out of the loop forever. You can't solo CL 200 dark novatroopers with this at all, but it will more than make up for this "My CL 50 pet got owned by a CL 40 mountain worrt" nonsense. It's not an exploit at all, and it doesn't seem to be all that powerful against people who really know how to PvP, (it will however put skill against skill,a battle betweensome of the bestPvP templates and a veteren CH will come down to who knows what their doing more)and we probably still won't be able to kill jedi. (That however appears to be intended, another plus for this hopefully not being nerfed.) No, you cannot tame Krayts, don't be silly....

Bahhh... I will be gone by the time You people tell us anyway. I'v been waiting what,? has it been a year now? for CH to be "fixed" I am fed up and now that I highly Dislike the new combat system, it is not worth my time and money to be wasting it. For now I explore and look at all the new pets wishing I had room, but I doubt I will last another week. You people seem to be throwing the word Veteran* around a little too much. A tru CH Veteran is a CH who has been a CH since aorun the time of the nerf and has held onto CH being very didicated waiting to be fixed again. Doesnt matter what you tamed or what you use, Its the fact that you love CH and enjoy playing the game as one. That is what a veteran is.

Well its actually been a wonderful sense of annoyance for me. What was supposed to be a hope filled post has basically generated into a total monkey poo orgey fight. In between the positive posts. I get to hear alot of complaints greifs and insults, and if that were enough I am getting my forum mail spammed with all sorts of nonsense.
80 count them eighy forum mails in less then 24 hours. Some pleading some insulting, and some plain out and out threatening.
So in an attempt to satisfy the mob. I made another post offering to provide something for them to verify in game, and for that effort I got attacked and berated more so.
I am pondering if it would just be better to keep this to myself and those I have discussed it with. Seeing how many CHs seem to think the way to get what they want is to treat me like dog crap. Like I owe something to them. Most are not realizeing I do not have to give them squat. Hey nimrods I am not vert I do not have to put up with your nonsense. I am willing to share some valuable info with you, and all I said was wait a week.
I do not know I am just sorely disappointed with how this whole thing turned out.
