Personally, I don't have a handle on how the CH community as a whole views the rares situation. I can understand how you think as you do, Vert, because I have seen the "I finally got a XXX" posts as well. But as for myself, I don't hunt rares for the simple fact that they are *too* rare and for little to no gain. I didn't grind professions to gain my FS slot and I won't grind lairs to find rares. I do think it needs to be changed.
I do believe that this problem stems beyond checking a simpledatabase entry to see how often something will spawn.I believe it is a problem with the dynamic spawning system. It's my understanding that this works independently for each server region. The more players in a particular area, the more random, dynamic spawns will pop. However, each server has a spawn cap. A more populated area will have more dynamic spawns, but they will also begin to dimish as players spawn mission lairs. Obviously, this doesn't explain the problem with creatures who have their lairs on mission terminals.
In any case, I'm confident that Vert has only the best of intentions. I've been a CH since beta, but I don't post often unless I feel the need. And in this case, I felt Vert should hear another voice chiming in on the rares situation.

I have confidence in Vert. ButI don't appreciate her making decisions based on her own bias and not based on community issues...

Another point to be made. What about MCH's that have no combat ability to suppliment? How would they go rare hunting when you have to kill lairs in order to find a rare tameable?

Something I just thought of more or less...
What is rare hunting going to be like when the FS Village is implimented, which looks to be Dathomir? How angry would you be when that rare finally spawns and it gets ganked by a Jedi wanna be? Or when there are so many people on Dathomir, you won't be able to go rare hunting...
Issue still stands. Rares need to be made unrare...

LOL. Nice got one starred for agreeing with Skwall except in the fact that we disagree on how much more input Vert could and should be giving to both the players and the Devs.
Vert any word on spawn rates yet?
Making the risk versus reward better?

They care, just not as important as other issues they are working on currently.
My view on rares is that they are too rare, sorta like how hard they made it to become Jedi in the beginning and had to resort to using holocrons to get people on the right track. Its high time they increased the spawn rate a hare.(pun intended)

Really, where's the sense?
The devs implimented a "helper" to get the FS unlocking started. Yet CH tameables should remain insanely rare for what reason?
If they need to be rare, make the stats better and make it fun. Not mindless lair killing...

Hmm, at CL 65 the Bull Rancor is the highest available Pet you can tame, you can only Tame it at Master level thereby protecting its exclusivity, cant be used by anyone except master.
So why does it need to be rare at all.
Me i'm easy most BE pets would do a better job so its not even a great pet, but its the main tame for master level - the only tame at master level. So every master should have one - just like every rifleman gets his T21 - when it wears out go get another simple - why RARE i dont understand.
If its TOO rare no one will have the guts to use it in combat, to me thats absurd - i would like to have one and use it every day.
Its just a pet for crying out loud, not the holy grail or the lost city of atlantis or El Dorado etc. Be reasonable Please.

MuOne,
This is the most excellent point of all. The end game for everyone (except for possibly Jedi) is some easy and meaningless quest or a simple purchase. For us? Months and months and months of searching. Aakh is right when he states getting Jedi would be easier.
Vert this has simply got to change.

Vert. Are you gonna mention that there are several of us that think the rarity of some of the tameables is just beyond ridiculous, or is it really going to take a complete year of searching to get the message across?...
