Thread: ** The CH Necklace is a Loot **

yes it will be very disappointing if this is true. And not very fair considering the jedi master cloak is looted off of a reaily available mob that can be camped without taking his quest (or so I've heard). This is the reason I want the proof so badly...I'm hoping that this guy is lying and that it's not in one of the hardest instanced quests of the game.

the waypoint isnt really relevant, because the doombringer spawns at the end of the operational droid facility and is instanced so i read. Its also probably the longest and hardest quest in the game, and frankly, the fact that its instanced means thatcreature handlers will have a hard time getting into a group to do it., apparantly you need 8 jedi knights at the moment, so using up a group spot with a pet seems unlikely to go down well. If this is how it drops, and thats a big if, im majorly disappointed becuase im going to be forced to pay the earth to get one on a trade forum.
The quest starts with foreman chivos at the mining facility.

This expansion was bought disproportionately by creature handlers because they were told that there was an exciting and achievable and interactive quest (tame level 72, then 74, then 76, etc). This is something that appeals to the creature handler's personality and play style.
If Doombringer drops the necklace as a rare loot, this will shatter the hopes of most creature handlers. As a rule, they don't tend to be the most credit-hoarding players. And has been stated, it is improbable that the uber elite group that succeeds in looting it from Doombringer would have a creature handler in the team.
I have much more faith in the development team than this. They wouldn't rip off and infuriate the best demographic for this expansion.
In the unlikely event that the original poster is correct, I recommend cancelling the order to this expansion. If you do it before the actual go-live date, you won't be charged for it.

I believe it
I'm doing the droid quest now. My group died there the other night.
This is good and bad.
Good news is we know where it is
Bad news is it's going to make it alot harder for CH to get. The cube would have been a little easier once the ingredients known. This way it wiill require a group who can work together. Unfotunatly most groups still don't mesh well.
Oh well
Thanks for the info
After all the hoax postings on pinning attack (not to mention jedi before it was discovered)it is surprising that anyone would blindly believe without a screenshot. Because of the OPs post count I would forgive him if he did not know he would get mauled for not posting a screenshot, but come on, he disappeared shortly afterhis post even when people offered to verify it for him via trade window, hosting, etc. This has all the classic signs of a hoax.
If it looks like a duck, smells like a duck, etc.
So I will observe this post as another trolluntil I see actual proof, not 'there is the proof' with nothing actually given but a post. If I claimed to have found something cool and someone asked to see it, I would brag about it. I would not say'"F" "U" and next time keep what ever info I had to myself.'. If hedid this he would be acting like a baby (granted that is not unheard of here).
So I called his bluff and he did not take it. If he comes back with proof then I have no issues with him but I doubt it will happen.
- Imagedump.
- Imageshack.
- Trade window.
- Drop it in a house and tell us the coords.
- Throw it up in the bazaar (as an auction) or in a vendor at 9999999 credits. Even if you immediately cancel the sale, it will still show up in that galaxies bazaar as a category.
To say "I don't care if you believe me or not, no proof 4 you" is the same as "I was pulling your leg. Happy Halloween!"

If this is true i will be very upset, i attempted the droid factory mission where he said the loot drops, i was in a good group 4 jedi, 2 doctors that can rez a bounty hunter and myself.
Now this quests is a lot of fun, and VERY hard. Unfortunatly we miscalculated a section and all got killed.
I cant believe the devs would put the master taming necklace as loot at the end of this quest ESPECIALLY as a 1/10 drop chance.
Why can't you believe it? A necklace that may make you more powerful then the other Creature Handlers on the server being hard to obtain?! My god they are nuts. No offense but you do have to work for things in this game and this quest is not impossible and actually easy compared to the last mission in the YT-2400 chain.
I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but it is almost that exact kind of thinking that brought forth the Jedi running rampant on the servers.

1/10 chance to drop as loot, 8 group members looting
you have to complete the mission around 80 times for a probable drop
i think thats to hard
Hard quests i have no trouble with, hard grind i have no trouble with
to put it as a 1/10 loot drop is insane.
