Well what passion im impressed - but what frustration ahh - to know that passion will not be heard - not true.
To attack Vert really set a hornets nest off - many posts on both sides all excellent - full of vigour. Love and hate no middle ground.
Sadly we cannot talk to the DEVs alas, so we shout at them scream at them from afar. Then we turn on each other tear each other apart, dramatic indeed. Like Journalists who have no real power or say in policy - but they can write and it gets heard and does damage good or bad.
Shall we destroy poor old Vert or save him - blame him for everything or absolve him of all blame.
I do not know if Vert does a good job because I do not know if he does a bad job, I have no idea exactly what Vert does at all - how can I judge.
This is not Beta - the devs do not need our imput or Verts any more, they know whats right/wrong with the game - they put it there in the first place. What we have that we know for certain is that we are not being told what is to become of the game from our point of view - they seem to like a veil of secrecy around future developements which causes frustration.
All they need do is come clean and be respected for their honesty - tell us what we need to know - what is to come and when.
Sneaky peak previews and wait till such a revamp etc are an insult to our intelligence. Come clean - give us some detailed information what harm can it do.
Reminds me of a packed theatre waiting for the band to begin and the mangement is trying to keep us in the dark about the fact the band arent going to show but they dont want to cause a panic or give a refund.

I cannot support this vote of no confidence.
Vert does the best he can, under the circumstances. He's been fighting for us in ways we cannot see.
Vert has my full confidence as correspondant.

While, I don't post often, I am an old time CH, and I feel the need to support Vertoxon. Never had I cause to question her abilities even while the nerf bat was pointed directly at us for all those months.
As for rares, if half the community wants them increased and the other half is for the status quo - is it still an issue? If the spawns are not working at all, that's another story altogehter.

Heh, is it irony? Or is it loyalty. Did you expect to rally the community against it's leader? If the majority of the community is supporting Vert, and a very small minority is supporting you, then maybe you should "go home and rethink your life". No one is defending you because we don't feel that Vert is a bad leader. And from the looks of it, you're not going to change popular opinion.

You realize the irony of this is I am the only one defending myself. Vert knows he is not doing the job properly, yet will not relinquish the position. I do not want the position, although I do believe it could be better utilized by someone who wants to be active.

We have to ask ourselves, despite loyalties, despite friendships, despite our anger towards each other's feelings, we have to ask ourselves "What do we want a Correspondant to do?" or "What SHOULD they do?" and then we can ask "Is Vert really doing a good job of it?"
Frankly, i can understand that the problems with MCH are not entire Vert's fault in any way, but all i can say is that in the entire year the game was out, nothing GOOD has happened. Sure we got mounts, we got restructured to prevent dabblers, we got rares. But honestly, i don't actually "see" the positives add up to all the negatives that have happened to this profession
I dunno if Vert is to blame for not doing anything, or whethers its SOE's fault for not listening to vert and giving the entire profession the shaft due to their discontent for the early days CH's roamed the earth. All i know is that if there is someone who's going to do the job, just let them do it.

Disagree, yes. Hate, no way. At the least you have fought for what you believe in on a forum where perhaps 3% of the players care enough to come and read, much less post. Perhaps on my 1st few games I let the passion for the game creep into what I wrote. Now I find that hard to do knowing that with SOE our voices make little to no difference. Be it vert or a replacement it would make no change in what SOE plans for this game. We are a flea humping an elephant.
We can influnce the game little, what we write can influnce players thinking of becoming a ch, this is why I have taken an opposite viewpoint to many of your posts. not per say that you were wrong but because of the effect on newbies reading our board. This board is well known for the negitive viewpoint, which needs to change.
Take a break from the game and come back, I did and it is more fun this time.
I take the time to salute an honorable, sometimes I would say, opponent on the forums. look forward to seeing you back, not many i care to spar with these days

Well, I've read this issue, and all the arguments for and against. The key point here seems to be the fact that creatures are not spawning as often as a lot of you would like. Now I will keep my own opinion out of this here about that, but I did also read the discussion about rare pets being spawned. Yes she (sorry I kept saying "he") argues one point, and it seems like some people are upset that she will not run to the dev team and make a change. Again, I will stress that every profession is having this same problem with communication between the dev team and the community. The problem does not lie with any of the correspondents. There are issues on every forum that are just not getting any communication/attention from the dev team. Carbineers have been asking for more speed since the beginning, pistoleers have been asking for more DPS since the beginning, pikemen have been asking for more accuracy since the beginning (they got a minor fix to this, but it was just a drop in the bucket), merchants have been asking that only merchants can have vendors and got a huge nerf instead, commandos have been asking for more accuracy and got nerfed too, and smugglers have been asking to actually be able to smuggle things and got nerfed instead.
My point here is that almost every profession, through their correspondents have been asking for things, and either get ignored, or get the opposite handed to them. Does this mean that all correspondents need to be replaced? Are they all doing such a bad job at communicating with the dev team? Or is it more likely that the dev team has its own agenda, and isn't working with the community like it should be? This issue about spawn rates of babies, no matter what the opinion of Vert is, has been brought to the attention of the dev team. I would like you to go to the following URL and look at #2 on this list:

On the rare poll, 11 out of 16, or about 70% of the votes so far are just fine with the rarity.A: Up thier stats and keep the current rarity as is. =7B: Keep thier stats as is and make them unrare. =2C: I have looked/been looking and I am frustrated and not happy with the stats, make them unrare. =3D: I have looked/been looking and I am ok with the rarity and the stats. =5E: I have looked/been looking and I am ok with the rarity, just not the stats. =2F: I have looked/been looking and I am ok with the stats, just not the rarity. =0G: I have been looking and I am frusterated. =3H: I just don't care. =1That's the total so far.And about that little whiny minority comment. We could have grinded to Jedi long before getting one of these tameables. Why should we have to suffer with the most rare things in game when no other profession has to? We don't, and it needs to be changed...
17 people have voted, yet you show 23 votes. Sounds like your count is a bunch of BS. I only counted people primary vote, and I didn't count the don't care vote (although if I did, his second choice was fine with the rarity). Votes for A, D, and E are all fine with the rarity. So I stand by my count. 11 out of 16 are fine with the rarity (12 out of 17 if you count the I don't care voter's other choice). That is 5 out of 17 voters (29%) who aren't happy with the spawn rate.

Hear, Hear to those that identified the real villains. My hat is off to Vex and any other poor SOB who would try to communicate with the Devs. It is a thankless frustratingjob.
Look at any profession. They are all still broke in some way shape or form. Take BE's - six months after the major revamp they finally publish a guide which is word for word plagiarized from player posts.
Now they are going to nerf looping macros. They were the only way I could ever get pet specials to stick once in awhile.
If they need to do a complete inactive character wipe, you might assume that it is more than your average whiner that has jumped ship on this increasingly boring game.
Direct your anger, dismay andfrustration where it belongs.

You can vote all you want, and maybe even get Vert replaced, but whoever replaces him/her (I think we better get some clarification on this point
) will be no different.
You have some good ideas with how you would handle it.. but they probably wouldn't be allowed. The system of correspondents is set up so we blame our own first for no answers. We dont see anything happening, since we don't even get read access to the correspondent forums, and all blame instantly falls to the correspondent. I'd hazard to guess they aren't even allowed to defend themselves in cases where they are being blamed for "Not bringing matters to the attention of the Devs".
Go read back through the BioEngineer forums when the correspondent was recently replaced, same scenario as here. What's changed since? Nothing in the profession.. alot with the person who wears the hat now. I dont envy an correspondent their jobs.
For the moment, lets assume that Vert is not bringing everything to their attention. It could be that they are asking for 1 or 2 TOP issues only. Would you rather have your pets stop auto-storing in combat or have a 1% better chance of finding a Bull Rancor baby? It's up to the correspondent to go through the forum and get an idea of what the majority of people have as a concern.
Anyhow, In my opinion, Vert is doing as best as can be expected with what SOE allows. I'd rather have him/her in the role than someone who has already quit the game once. (I myself fall into that category)

People. Listen. Some of our tameables are the MOST RARE THING IN THE GAME. Do you understand that concept? We could have grinded to Jedi long before getting one of these tameables. How is the count a bunch of BS. I counted all the opinions of everyone to get an idea of how people feel. It's not so cut and dry and being satisfied with the rarity, that's why I gave so many options.
Besides, how could this bea reasonto forget those that do have issues with the rarity. The ones that don't have either already found what they were looking for have never looked or just don't care. It needs to be mentioned by Vert because she can't just decide of her own volition what's important and what's not.
How can you trivialize 8 months of looking? You can't. Try telling people that spend all their in-game time looking that they just aren't putting in enough effort. They'd tell you to go to hell.
AGAIN. There is no justification for these tameables to be the most rare thing in-game. Absolutely NO justification what-so-ever...
