It's Friday afternoon, 1 hour from finishing work and I just couldn't resist putting this one in, bare with me

You load your pet up with sticks of dynamite and send it off to follow the enemy.....trigger command and BOOM !


.....erm, maybe I shouldn't be a Creature Handler It's just the thought of the look on the face of the little Nuna, loaded down with dynamite and hobbling off towards a Nightsister has got to raise a smile with even the biggest pet lover.


The crazy thing is this would be really easy to add to the game as this is how Bounty Hunter/Smugglers bomb droids work.

I like the idea of a Beast of Burden special where the pet could carry a certain number of items for us.

I would like to see this kind of skill like /petfear or something to that effect, set up possibly a low end AoE as suggested and possibly in upper levels a single mob targeted fear effect as a means of escape or kiting, although I could see a balance issue involved which would need some kind of work around in order to keep it fair and not over power the CH and pet.


I can see it as the mob would run in fear, but if it hits a bunch of other mobs then would call for help, then the CH or CH's group may be in big trouble, so that may in effect balance things out except in PvP situations so then a CL limit, resistance checkand distance cap would then need to be put in place for all encounters.


But then if that ability was put in place then the mobs themselves would be able to do that to players and could really be a pain, but that would be the give and take.

1.) Dizzy state attack. Why they didn't add one in the first place is beyond me

2.) Poison attack, but restricted to certain animal types. I don't want to go around seeing poisonous durni's

3.) Trainable, and triggerable, area attack

Acid damage attack. Pet Centre of Being ability. Chase (burst run or gallop for non-mount). Fetch - pull single target. Jump was a good one I saw someone else mention. Poison is also one I saw many others mention. Some animals should be venomous, but effects of poisons can differ eg: faint, dizzy, halt regeneration, prevent recovery etc. Make effects different based on lvl or something (level of ability and or vs level of target).


I would also like my space monkey to dance. Perhaps it could learn from watching an entertainer? Monkey shapes should dance, bird shapes should sing (whistle). I don't care if it buffs or not, I just want them to do more than just the basic trick1 and trick2.


I still want my fambaa shield generator. (Area PSG).

I suggest growing a pair and looking at the whole picture before calling people babies and unacceptable of change, This change was nothing but an added grind and you know it. But won't admit it because "oh devs luv us and know whats best" attitude is the only attitude left here after the cu caused all the people with a pair to leave.

I would like to see some skills species specific as I stated in another thread, for example Bull-Rancor with are bleed level 4 attack, but this skill cannot be learned by a ch. Only the Bull can have it. Making it worth getting again as unique pet.

This could be done with several creatures giving them a little diversity and seperating some of the generic code used to make em all since the cu went live.

I think a conceal type ability would be cool.


Like a chemeleon changing colors to match its enviroment

Fleet Footed was a disapoint me to me. I would like to see a skill that will really increase a pets movement. I would use a pet mount over a speeder if they even came close to the same speed. Fleet Footed as it is now seems pretty useless. Now if there was only a way to remove it, my poor Varactyl is stuck with level 1 and 2.


Something else I would like to seeis to Shrink pets, one thing I don't like about using certain pets is they tower over everything and hamper vision. I get people asking me not to use them because they can't see what they are doing. This though would seem not viable for all pets, such as pets that are already really small or mountable pets. My thought is call it Stunted Growth, they never get bigger than their baby size. If used on a mountable pet, it never gains the ability to be mounted could be the solution.


Feign Death sounds good to me too, not only do they shake off agro from whatever they were attacking they should lose agro on their target as well so if you stand them up they don't go right back tofighting. The levels could be how effective it is.

LOL Thanks I haven't been called a student in a LOOOONG time! 30+ years as a matter of fact LOL!


I am a 52 year old adult who works full time and I play the game 3 or 4 hours an evening 3 or 4 nights a week.I play half a day on Sat. and maybe another 4 hours on Sun. unless there is something going on for the weekend and then I don't play at all.


I just find all the crying about the CH proff and levelling pets and learning specials is so pathetic. It simply is NOT THAT HARD TO DO even casually. Heck I spent the last 2 nights on LOK with my newly tamed BE CL35 Gurrcats. I was hunting anything with Reptile meat. The cats rolled over training xp multiple times and I have been able to teach them 5 abilities. I am hoping they will unlock a couple more training slots so I can give them each 2 more abilities. This was in2 NIGHTS OF PLAY for a total of about 6 hours. I was growing my pets, teaching them abilities, harvesting a good spawn of Reptile meat, and Hunting with friends. Now what part of that equals an unacceptable grind?


Over the last 3 or 4 weeks I have found and learned all the L1 abilities (minus Pin of course) and all the L2 except Aggression (again minus L2 PIN). I have also learned 4 L3 abilities. It's been a blast taming again. I still have some L3 abilites to find as well as that last L2. What about all this is NOT fun? I just don't understand the cry babies. Things change, get used to it, grow up and move on. The alternative is to cry, get angry, become bitter, and then quit. Far to many people take that route.

You know the large pets like full grown rancors and grauls id like to see an ability that lets them pick up enmies like on some of the console games like a combo or something then smash them in to the ground with affects like a knockdown attack in therory it would be like an unstoppable combo attack in the air.Also an area knockdown attack in which the creature stomps/hits the ground knock down affects only.Finally a Special Attack that does tripple damage but has a rather long charge time to avoid totally uber pets.
