Thread: Animal Armor/PvP/Mounted weapons.
I am sorry. I have been really busy in game of late. I want to really post here when I am not so distracted. I love the ideas a lot. The two seater mount especially. I was thinking it might be cool as a MSL perk to drive this tank like creature and have a mounted turret (heavy weapon) on the back. Slight bonus for having some height advantage.
Idea Name: Specialised saddles/ combat harness.
Brief overview of how you see it working: saddles made from limited run schematics, that are found as random loot and/or quest rewards. these saddles are made by tailors and equipped by a CH. once equipped they cannot be removed. Rifleman, pistoleer, carbineer, commando, swordsman and fencer saddles allow the appropriate professions to use their specials whilst mounted albeit at +50% of the normal HAM cost.
TKA and Pikeman are not included in these saddles cos i think its a bit improbable for a TK to perform his specials whilst on a mount and as i also believe that past a certain skill box, pikemen should be able to use specials on a mount anyway (think about it) smugglers and BH would use a saddle appropriate to the weapon that they use.
The combat harness stops any type of weapon from being used but does allow the pet to fight as per normal. this would allow CH's to use our high end mounts directly as weapons (as many of us would love!) the harness may also allow for certain new specials to be possible, /charge or something like that for instance.
Why it is needed. "do you have a mount yet?" "yeah, i have a speeder" and my favourite "i thought i had to be a CH to even own a pet"
Who makes it/interdependencies (if needed). Tailors make the actual saddle, based on schematics that can be found by any player as random loot and/or quest rewards.
