Now seeing that was posted in february and the problems still exist.........................................
To give the proper credit as to posting history by devs in this forum.
From present to going backwards this is from recollection and my perspective:
1) TH posted some stuff in somone's "I caught a Rare post" ONLY after I posted I was quitting thinking he was safe from a flame, but I torched him anyway. He has not come back.
2) JustG posted in the "Corral" thread after I sent a message begging him to look at it and post something. This is after he had messaged me for flaming him in his "State of the Game" post for trivializing what the Combat Revamp did to CH. It was a bone he threw us to get me off his back about that.
3) RuneSabre posted that they were working on pets on top of us bug and pets running excessively in the "Dev/CH Peace Accord". Then told us we could help more by being on TC. This peace lasted maybe a week or two after a time of flames larger than the Chicago Fire.
4) prior to that is Vert's January "state of CH" post where RuneSabre promised that we would not have ANY MAJOR changes without CH Community participation. Seeing that they essentially did what they wanted to do to us in Nov/Dec and have involved every other profession with their Revamps ours was indeed a nerf. Now we await the revamp. This is a real stuck point for me and the fact Vert is not allowed to post we will not change in this combat revamp. What I am afraid is that we have been changed thus breaking Runes promise to us. Now granted if it is only the way combat occurs then this is no problem. It is after all what we were expecting. Since Vert cannot say we are staying the same (A la Ranger Correspondent) I infer we are indeed changing and this allows SOE to lie once more. (Note: I hope that reads I am not blaming Vert. Because I intend it to read that SOE is changing us. This forces Vert to follow the NDA. Because we are being changed it is SOE's fault for lying, yet again).
Ok there it is in a nutshell the 4 threads that caught attention this year in the CH thread.
non-flaming. just facts, mixed with perspective.

When SOE delivers a semi-working game and a team grounded in customer satisfaction, I will quit telling my friends that they should just wait for other titles being released soon.
umm, i guess you'll never play a SOE game with your friends then...
back to the topic... a red name in here would be nice... i think they are afeared... an open discussion about the prof, up to this point would have just been the company line...
"we understand your concerns, and areaddressing them in thecombat balance..." it would go on to have "as CH you have already been balanced, so fell lucky you got the FIRST attention in the rebalance. We do care about the CH community, and all of your inputs are greatly apprecited and will be put into consideration for upcoming patches."
/think SOE should hire me, i can spill pure BS really easily

The idea of a "truce", however, seems a bit silly. A truce according to Merriam-Webster's 11th Collegiate Dictionary is "a suspension of fighting especially of considerable duration by agreement of opposing forces." If the "war" has been with the Devs, do they even acknowledge a state of war? Have the Devs agreed to a truce as would be necessary to actually have a truce?
The idea of players calling a truce with the Devs is like the 98 pound weakling telling the 300 pound bully that just beat him up, "come over here again and I'll knock your lights out!"
I see no reason to doubt that the Devs care. It's a matter of priority though and the universe doesn't revolve exclusively around Creature Handlers. The Devs will address all issues over time -- if you expect all issues to be addressed within a week you had probably better quit and find something else to do because it will never happen.
I do agree with those that desire more and better communication as I believe communication is a big part of the problem. If we knew we'd get our issues addressed in x months that would at least set our expectations accordingly. Unfortunately, there are so many posts on all these forums that it is impossible to answer every post. If a Dev actually responded to this thread, there would no doubt be followup questions from players in addition to players from other professions asking "what about us?" -- it's a lose/lose situation, which is where the Correspondants come in. As we have seen recently, the Correspondants can't tell us everything, but at least we know they *are* working behind the scenes to improve things.
If those currently in "truce" decide to go back to "war" I urge you to consider what your war actually consists of -- posts and conduct that often violates the Forum Policies and is a recipe for getting yourself suspended/banned. A better way to address issues is to work with the Devs and Correspondants in a constructive way and put away the hostility.
