1. Players will play starwars because it is starwars the name sells. No game has ever lived up to the hype of a license ever.
2. The community is fractionalized to quote palpatine there is no concern for the common good.
3. For every nay sayer there are two noobs stepping up and shelling out. (You're still here. So which are you? nay sayer or noob? After all, you're still "stepping up and shelling out" for a game you yourself have described as being "in the trots" for over a year.)
4. If you did not stand up for the late summer CU debaccle. In my oppinion you have no right to complain. A huge number of the player base cancelled in unison to force the issues, and yet enough stayed to encourage the devs. (Did you cancel? No? By staying you encouraged the devs, by your own admission. And yet you're complaining about complainers?)
5. SOE and Lucasarts are in the right the DEVs are in the wrong. The devs as far as I can tell are chronic procrastinators. This CU was in developement for a year plus, and asside from being degenerate ripoff artists. It still arrived ripped with bugs. Soe and lucasarts have learned not to listen to the devs shoveing them up against the wall is the way to go. Even if they waited another six months it would have still come out buggy.
6. What your just now learning not to trust what the devs say. What were you hit as a child multiple times in the head. If this is new to you. You need serious help. (Wow, you make a convincing argument for why no one should put up with thiscrap. Remind me again why you're still playing?)This is as old as the lieing politician. Why do politicians get away with it, because the public is always willing to be sucked in again.
7. Quote your own numbers SOE has the real ones, but most players I knew said if this CU got delayed again they were walking period. Most players were only playing in anticipation of the CURB. Not because they liked the way the game was playing. A huge mass of the public probabally hated that more then the CU.
8. I am personally luke warm on the curb. Some things I like some I do not. If what I posted tonight helps to make ch a little more playable for you thats good. If you expected it to be some heinous cheat for instant DB. Then shame on you. Lets keep this thread constructive. This I hate I love the CURB posting is now beyond passe. If you hate it leave. If you like it stay. (You just made a big argument for why the game sucks, the devs are incompetent, anyone who's been suckered into staying is an idiot, andwhy anyone who didn't quit in protest a year ago doesn't deserve tocomplain. I never once said to anyone that my pets where my "weapons". I am MY weapon. I use my pets for show and support. I don't need them to pvp or pve. I use them for both but since before the CU I never used my rares or extincts.. cause they where too valuable.. now since they are worthless as a trophie.. they are the only strong pets I have now since even my level 70 kinad can get its ass kicked by my level 30 plains hunter. Its kinda stupid and sad if you ask me... They didnt't give us what we wanted they took what we wanted and threw it in our face and even turned it around.. We wanted mroe room they made pets generic and usless now so you only need 5 pets. We can only take 1 out when we were asking to be able to increase our level so we can take out more. We wanted them to fix pet specials they just got rid of them... We wanted our pets to be stronger.. I am not even gunna go there.
Don't you see or must I keep slapping you in the face.. WAKE UP we got screwed out the hole.

How many more people are going to come here and bash Dodece? He was only trying to help. If you can't post something constructive then don't post at all. If you don't want to use the info in this thread then don't. But don't reduce constructive threads to hate spewing matches and finger pointing. We're all here to help each other and to make CH better. Maybe you think it's a waste of time but the rest of us don't. I'd rather hear about a possible better BE pet from Dodece than pointless bickering and flame-bating.

My BE came out with a lvl 43 razorcat that has 9k ham and does about 340 max damage - kinetic and energy resists came out about 30, heat resist up to 50. Ended up better than the Gurrcat that I converted which ended up lvl 49 with 7k ham.
He also has a fair bit of pre CU dna left - so any of you Bria CH's that want a decent pet send tells to Suvv.

Im sure that everyone have better things to do that come here and flame Dodece, but in my point of view this is not a bash or flame. We talk about how we feel about Dodece posts, and what we think about he wrotes. Nothing more.
In my opinion this is not a constructive tread. In my opinion Dodece do not help the community. Thats all friend. Nothing personal here, at least from me.
I think that a pet with high ham and awful resits is a crap. I think that this can be an exploit. I think that Dodece try to play with us. Its only my opinion, you do not have to think this.
Was a bad Joke telling us about wonderfull things, things than can do that everyone want to be CH, a secret that can change all and do the CH the most desirable class. A secret that can do a massive /respec to be CH. I can quote all Dodece posts talking about it. And some from Orb22.
Tell me friend, what kind of joke is that? Or Dodece is stupid, or Dodece do not know nothing about CH. And im not talking only about ham vs defenses. Really, seems that Dodece never read why the people is CH, and why the people stay after every nerf. Is not for the Ham...
This secret do not change nothing. Nothing. Dodece promises marvelous things, and that was a lie. He plays with the /respec chance of this community.

Trying to help is: Ey guys, this mob give us old DNA to make high ham pet with lower resists. Can be an exploit, but at least, we have this option.
But he do not do this. Dodece starts this joke, trying to play with us.
I do not have nothing more to say, and i do not want discuss more about it. Really, its a waste of time. Whatever, feel free to quote and answer if you want, who knows, maybe im wrong, but i cant say nothing good about Dodece atm.
A last thing. /Bow to try to calm down the things Freth, really, but try to understand a litle our point. And sorry if my english skills are not the best, hope you can understand me.
1. What awful resists as far as anyone can tell pets were immediately converted to 50 percent resists across the board and no armor rateing period. Everytime I converted a pre CU pet it gave me a whole number that was half the ham in all the slots for resists. To me my best guess is the individuality was removed and the pet is now be default and always will be a fifty percent non armor creature. Atleast this way you actually have pets that still list a 60 percent kinetic resist.
2. Well I have compared my level 30 wooly and my level 56 prowling gurrek. Have yet to find any meaningful difference. They regen the same rate they take the same damage. Infact my wooly dishes out more damage. I have compared them on the same things from players to all level of creature mobs. Grouped and ungrouped. If there is some sort of level penalty being applied to pets I am not seeing it.
3. After the CU everyone complained that pets were not generic. That there was no good way to use multi pets. That the hate system was hard. Well guys these pets solve this. You can tinker till you get multiple pets to your likeing. You can use multiple pets again. Hey lets not forget the fact that most player attacks now are consistent shot. That means an advanced critical shot with an advanced scatter pistol. Is always going to do 1200. So it the BH has to climb through 23k ham thats good. Especially if you use it on a crowd week profession. Where useing multiple pets will remove mitigations of certain player classes.
4. Yes I knew the respec was not up, but I had started to hear things from players on Sunrunner as to old dna going up in price. Good for you if thiscrud was common knowledge on your server BRIA. I posted it because I fealt holding back anylonger would be counter productive. With ROTW out and most players seeming to have settled on a profession. I made a judgement call talk or wait a few more days.
5. This exploit nonsense is just that nonsense. Its the standard sour grape story. Since I couldnt have it right when I wanted it I was probabally better off without it because it was obviously an exploit. Your justifying not haveing something when you wanted it by saying it was bad. The truth is this in all of the time this game has played I have seen the devs nerf a pre nerf item maybe 2 or 3 times. Forever people had the prenerf fwg5s. Likewise with level 1 pets, and the devs never took prenerf pets from over a year ago. So to assume they are going to take away creatures made within the new system. Blows the mind, as is assuming that people will get banned for it. I really would love to see the devs explain this. See we ment just to take all the dna away from the BEs, and to have creatures at certain levels always. Even though some creatures in the enviroment obviously break the rules.
6. Nothing wrong with this the point of this is that you can generate a total of around 20k of ham in pets. All I have heard from the group is people talking about generateing one 12k creature. Atleast with 2 pets on some player classes you get the crowd attack bonus which weakens their defense. This in turn will let you hit them with more damage.
7. By the way being a loud mouthed shmuck dosent mean you actually made an effort archie. I had two accounts and cancelled both over the CU delay what did you do? I only reactivated my accounts enough to keep them from deleteing waiting for this CU. Seeing as the gameplay was mediocre and discriminatory. Either I just walked over mobs, or I went to dungeons built for melee defensive stackers which invariably ate me alive. Now combat is much harder, and thus more fun and rewarding. If nothing else that matters to me. What else matters to me is this game is not choreographed. Like many other mmorpgs out there. Where you are forced to do quests and storylines to get your moneys worth. In this game within a day of starting. You can be standing infront of jabba c3po and a ATST. In my book that means this game is the best in a field of bad choices.
- I think people are determined to miss the fact that the devs gave us what we as a community asked for. We screamed over and over and over again. Pets were our weapons. Well now they are weapons, and very related to weapons in the new system all pretty generic. It can no longer be viewed as a meat shield but like every other combo out there if you balance out your template well you can not only win from time to time but win consistently.
- 1. No single combat profession is good anymore standalone is a bad word.
- 2. Drop the damn rifle you need to have your character last long enough for your pets to have meaning. This will force players to choose let his two pets chew me alive while I take a couple minutes breaking through his high 1 on 1 defense profession, or turn eliminate the pets, and count on my regen to allow me to handle him.
- 3. Tested this with other players. The longer the fight lasts the more potent pets became. Thats where more ham comes in useful especially on two lower level pets.
- 4. You heard the devs say specials were comeing back, and that they would fix non registering resists.
- 5, BE pets should be better sorry, but that was a premise in the games startup documents. Crafter based economy. Crafters should generate equipment supperior from that found in combat. That means BE pets should be better. If you want to collect rares and elites thats your call. You have ample storage for them.
...I am just saying you guys are physco... just end it already - game sucks - CH dead - move along
ROFL I've been here since 7/2003 and this is the first and only statement made on the CH boards that I completely agree with.
