Well, think of it this way. We wouldn't actually be adding anything to database size. Instead of data in the datapad having to be kept track of, it would be data in an object, which would take up space in our homes, which have data space set aside for so many objects anyways.

I think this is an excellent idea! I've got a couple of old pets that I'm attached to but never use, and I can't bring myself to delete them. Redeeding is the perfect solution.

I really like this idea....its already been said that CH is considered a combat class and since pets are our only weapon well.......
There is nothing in the game that keeps a rifleman from having 2 backpacks (100) full of rifles in reserve if he finds a weaponsmith that has made some really nice one he likes and he buys.,in our case tames
, them all up.
Any word on what you have heard on this Vert ?
Thanks

De's have been asking for this for ever
Fro the guy that says well then you could ahve unlimited pets.. umm well big deal any combat class can have 100's of weapons there is no limit saying you cant carry 90 weapons on you and use what ever you want..
Perhaps if redeaded they would have a delay on um with a short growth period, maybe a few hours or a day to stop people from using tons of pets or have 100 pets on them pop on out use it and store it,,
Our rare pets should be able to hang out in our house
for the greedy bio that doesnt want um to come up in pet form,, cuase he wioll lose money.. why is there always some crafter out there crying but ill lose money,., Well you cant make 2/3's of the pets i have in my D-pad soo if you want moneymake some tissue for tailors.. and stop bitching out your over priceddisplay pets that you can make 100 in about 2 hours.. ive been a bio soo dont tell me its hard.

Actually, as a master BE/CH I'm against redeeding pets, as master we have what.. 20 datapad slots? That's more than enough, by redeeding pets we in effect have unlimited number of pets. We don't need 50 pets, 20 is enough, I know I only use a half dozen at most and the rest are more for fun. Count how many of your pets you actually use, bet it's not all 20 of them so how can we justify getting to keep more pets?
(edit: Actually, the only way I would agree with redeeding pets would be if they could no longer be called, they became a statue which could not be turned into a pet so you could show off your GPS, Screecher or whatever)

Hello, all, longtime CH, first time poster. Flame away if you must, but ... on the Bazaar, there is a category entitled 'Entity'. That tells me that as CH's, we SHOULD be allowed to put our living, breathing pets up for sale so that we have a viable means of income instead of having to carry our 'limited' inventory with us. You mounted a lvl 10 carrion spat, you say? On the bazaar under 'Entity' it goes. Granted, this would still be under the 6k rule as everything else, but BE's have vendors, why can't we? Someone comes to our home/shop and sees ... a selection of mounts available, then proceeds to our vendor and purchases one. Unlike BE's and other crafters, we have to wait till the pet has matured enough to be mounted, but, once a pet is trained and mountable, why shouldn't we too be allowed to 'sell our goods'?
I am all for the re/deeding of pets. I would like my own non-BE menagerie for my guests to be able to view. You can already make an aquarium, why not a zoo?
I apologize if some things seem off topic, so ... /sign. 8)

ALL THATS against this tell me why and 20 isnt enough i know i really gat hard todestroy pets and why cant we sell our good work theres only the work in BE and that the way u train up the skills and as i know you BE guys cant make the rare pets (if im right) please dont think im up to annoy all ye BE but i really think that 20 slots isnt enought and it should be able to redeed pets beccause then we can sell our hard work too !!!!

It's fine being able to sell pets, I agree fully. However the reality is that hardly anyone will buy a wild pet. CH's that can control it can already tame one and most people that want a CL10 mount or pet will approach a BE to get a decent pet stat wise.
As a CH ask yourself when was the last time someone wanted a pet from you? Generally you get the very odd request for a carrion spat or bol, and most times it's to mount one. I know that as a MCH/MBE I get more pet orders as a MBE, I couldn't even give away two Grauls I have tamed for free (anyone one chimaera want a graul for free?), but yesterday I got an order for 26 (!!) non CH Banthas, which I need to BE up). It doesn't matter whether the pet is redeedable or not, it's the fact that wild non CH pets are utter crap and don't offer much choice in the way of mounts (which make up the CH's main pet sales).
My only solution to this would be to add a new ability to the creature empathy line and to master CH "-2 to transferred wild pet levels" basically allowing the CH to 'break in' a wild pet so that as he advances in each tier he can transfer a wild pet to a lesser skilled person. The pet is reduced by the number of levels the CH has (only ever reduced once, a master CH can't break a pet after a 1111 CH has for example). So a master CH would be able to give cl20 wild pets to a Non CH, allowing the CH to sell Banthas, wasteland Cu Pas, mountain Dewbacks etc. This would only work on wild pets, not BE pets (hey, us BE's can already customise creatures for levels pretty much, we don't need BE'd pets to get further levels reduced when transferred, especially when we can create 60 kinetic, light armour pets at CL=<20).
Oh and allow master CH's to create pet statues that cannot be redeeded into pets, would be nice to let the pets that carried you to master CH be kept.
But I still don't believe we need more than 20 stable slots or the ability to deed and redeed pets.

That's because you aren't a pet collector. I use only 3-5 of my pets and the rest are just for show and the "coolness factor"
I would love to use all 20 slots for useful pets and deed the "cool" pets and put them somewhere.
On the same token, I have over 50 rifles. Will I use all 50 no, some of them are legendary, or made by WS'es that left the game long ago but made their mark on valcyn. Some are just cool looking (a laser with a scope stock and barrel). I carry about 6 rifles on me (various damage rates, typesand ham costs). Why can't I do the same as a CH?

That's because you aren't a pet collector.uhhuh.... And you get this information from where exactly? my datapad? my friends? you have a secret webcam watching my monitor?
Guess my giant crystal snake, ancient reptillian flyer, swamp stalker, rancor, screecher, savage humbaba and wasteland cupa are all uber pets
