This is a great idea. Here's my take on the ideas so far in this thread:
1. To redeed a pet, access its radial menu in your datapad and select the "redeed" option. A dialog comes up that asks you to type in the word "yes" to confirm (like if you were surrendering a skill). You can't "tame" the newly created deed for 1 hour (time left displayedwhen you click the deed).
2. A deeded pet, when re-tamed, emerges as a baby, and (only if feasible) knows all the commands it knew before it was deeded.
3. Stats of the creature would be listed on the deed.
4. If the Corral is not implemented in the near future, this is an excellent "quick fix."

as a BE who actively produces pets for decor purposes, i would sign this if, and only if, the deeds were dropped in schematic (image) form!
I don't think this would create too much competition for you. You can make a "furnature" pet much easier and faster then we could tame and grow one to redeed.

This is a great idea. I have a few rare pets that I take out on occasion to dazzle the crowd and show off my skills. Other than that they are just take up datapad space. It would be great to have pets redeeded/dropped in a place sothe CHcan pick them up later when the Ch feels the need to gather it in their datapad.
Obviously, this would allow CH to virtually have a limitless supply of pets, which may pose a problem somewhere down the road. But if you were a TKA, wouldn't you have a few spare VKs that you could gather up when the one you are using runs low(condition wise)?

Please see the detailed corral thread. We would be able to "store" up to 16 pets in a "pen". Please feel free to add input / ideas.

Well that means that I could have a unlimited amount of pets. I could just deed the ones I didnt want to use. And all of my backpack would be full of pets. Hmm...

I like this idea. I would love to be able to put my rare or beloved pets in the bank that I want to keep (my little Kima, Kitty, is a good example of this).
Perhaps, at master CH, the CH would be able to put pets in their own house at image form? I would say only at MCH and only in their own homes so we don't take too much from one of the BE's more common uses of "creature furniture" creaters.

This idea has merit. Looking at it from all angles, I would push for certain restrictions to prevent abuse and other unpleasent activities. For instance, Deeding/Redeeding Bio-pets only. There is no logic or point to deed a pet you tame in the wild, it doesnt make sense. Also, redeeded pets would revert to their baby form losing levels and commands taught. Its a deed, nothing more after all. Ships have to remove their components, factories and harvesters have to be emptied before redeeding. It just fits with the current deeding system. Simply my thoughts, take them as you will.
**And yes, I have been a creature handler before so I understand the concerns/bugs of the profession.

I'd like to be able to deed pets. I'd really like to be able to deed wild pets for display in my house. The BE pets are nice, but they don't have the wild story about what you had to do to tame it. If the deed reverted to (baby) fine. If the deed was the creature with all it's current stats, fine. As long as there was some kind of abuse prevention.

How about those of us that want to have tamed everything? A BE can't make a Mountain Dew, a Picket Plains walker, or a bull rancor. personally I would love to put ther rares in my house as pet deeds. It would also make a market for the pet deeds that BE's cant make seeing our market is almost completely gone and has been gone for 1+ years
