I don't have a problem with that as long as they distiguish the difference between mission lairs and or static lairs so I don't camp on someones missions for a baby that will never spawn.
Mission lairs are always named for the creature type, ie, a ronto lair, a skreeg nest.
Wild spawns are named "a pile of rocks" "a warren" "brambles"
And, with the baby change, if it's got babies, it's not a mission lair either

actually i think thats gay.... maybe if mission lairs didnt sapwn babie, but they didnt make it easier to get babies from wild spawns.. now all a CH has to do is ride around a bit... someone like me who knows where everything spawns would have no problem finding babies.

Not good, not good at all.
it was hard enough finding babies by takeing mission after mission till a baby spawned,, but searching the planet for a baby???
is this some way to make us dependent on rangers to find babies?
/slap..omg finding the babies is the best part of ch..per curb i tamed all the rares at least once , never with the aid of a ranger..you should be thanking the devs for this

Finding babies is the most annoying part, and its going to be even more annoying now. The best part of CH is raising the pet, and watching it grow. Driving around for hours, milking lairs is migraine material.

Well, from experiance, all rancors are CL50. Enraged Rancors are CL80 and Ancients are CL82-83. Anything different is a mission spawn. If we follow the lead here, we'd just all have to know the actual level of whatever we're hunting so that we would know right off if it was a spawn or mission.

I've been wondering why that was such a problem. I would get so mad when Itried to find random spawns and would find nothing but yellow sand and green water all the way from Nym's Stronghold to Mt. Choalt and back.

Anyone on TC see how this is being played out?
This is something that is impossible to forecast from any kind of non-Live environment. The load on either TC or TC-Bria is so low that wild spawns pop up like crazy everywhere you go. In a Live Bria environment, you could drive around a planet like Lok for hours without seeing anything but the occasional gurk.

Heh... I thought the hunt was the point -- at least, in part. /shrug...

lol, pre-cu we had to know the level of everything anyway. I used to know pretty much everythings level, but now with all creatures levels changed i dont know jack...

Before the new combat system, there were 'Rare' creatures. Finding these rare creatures was a feat. It helped set that tame as special. I must have taken out hundreds of Bull Rancor lairs. Outof all those lairs, most were mission, I saw ONE baby. That baby died, but had I tamed it, it would have been a huge feat due to the rarity and the stats it had.
Being a CH and finding babies is no different than finding a good rifle, pistol, or whatever. It should not be any easier. Before you get that great rifle, you have to find it. (Not every vendor is listed on the global either. Oh, and by the way, there was a time when there was no vendor search)

I have been having a great time with the new system. It gives me the feeling of the hunt. Hunting down a taming babies for that one with a new ability i don't have.
The best creature now won't be that rare one, even though the harder and rare they are, they will be better than the average, but the one that has the skill set you want. The one with the skills and look that makes you better at the game.
BioE pets will be the most customized of all.
I will probably have a set of wild pets that i think are just too cool to have. Ok, it will be a triplite of Kima cats cause they just make me laugh when they take down big things. I will also have a set of BioE pets that are customized for my purposes. I'll have a tanker, an attacker, and a controller. That will give me the advantages of three professions in one, then i just add my self as a new mix to the party. hmmm.....i should consider getting some healing. But that comes down to choice.
I know we all want them rare pets that makes us just awsome in combat, but now, we can create them, and we all won't have a pile of plain stalkers and look like we were all cookie cut Creature Handlers. We will be unique in the pets we choose.
I'm sure some will be into the spiders, others into the flyers, into cats, into huge things, some into the ugliest things they can get there paws one. It will make our profession have its truely own uniqueness in itself.
I keep having dreams of the shocked suprised look of some player when they find out the hard way a little kima cat just knocked there backside on the ground and chewed off their ankle in a single blow. Who would expect one of them to be elite?Be a little hard to get a L3 ability, but it be worth the laugh.

hmm, with the special abilities coming back... this makes me wonder: are bull rancor babies going to be what everyone wants again, except that it will be absolutely impossible to find them without missions?
