As Creature Handlers, we are going to have to endure this cra-p until the rest of the community starts to use droids when the Droid Invasion launches. Then everyone will realize what these delays REALLY mean in practice.
every master ch go for whatever TKA you can get and commando for the fire dot
As of right now they just need to stop adding "new" things in the game and just fix what is currently broken
Yes the new foods is great but that was a part of the whole chef revamp. The new mounts are great too...in a roleplaying aspect as someone mentioned...since they are slower and low level.
Honestly, i havent been in the game long ( jan 1st ) but i can see a few things that would make this class appealing ..well useful.
1. Allow all baby creatures to be tamed by CH.
2. Allow all mountable looking creatures to be well, mounted...and also not stunt their growth. ( I mean you all know it would be nice to have a kimo as a mount lol )

They still aren't completely revoking it, but it seems they realized what a pain this new combat timer is. Today's update notes for Test Center:
Misc: Should no longer have a delay if using a camp or city after combat.
Now if they would just understand that it is worthless having these timers without the city or camp we would finally be moving forward.
I'm still trying to figure out what this obesssion with an "exploit" out away from the cities is. Are they afraid we're griefing meatlumps, nightsisters and canyon corsairs? Perhaps they're afraid we're killing too many mammiens, kahmurras, or mountain squills?

I still don't understand the griefing concept. The only thing I can think of is that they think we'd circulate pets in and out of combat as a primary weapon, which is ridiculous. If you're using your pets as a primary weapon and not healing them you have the combat effectiveness of a C3PO droid holding a CDEF. Pets in PvE right now are complete jokes suitable only for taking a beating meant for you. It'd take ages to kill anything by circulating pets out of your datapad...you don't need a timer to prevent this because anyone doing it is taking the long way around anyway. For that to be even feesable you'd have to have different command sets for all your pets.
Listen very very very carefully devs: WE CAN'T GRIEF WITH A BROKEN PROFESSION
No amount of timers is going to do a better job of preventing us from being effective more than the complete crippling our profession recieved already.
Even if they completely removed all timers and all camp requirements from our profession, we are still going to be a support class in PvE and a complete waste of skill points in PvP. Being concerned that a CH is going to grief is like being scared of a lone squad leader in PvP.
this is fubar, plain and simple.
first off, ALL creatures CL 70 and under should spawn babies.
secondly, we should not need a camp or timer to call a pet. thats just ridiculous.
the only good thing, which no one has really talked about yet from TC is the fact that now the tameable description will be accurate (supposedly) and we will now know what has babies and what doesnt (ie frenzied graul, arachne queen, etc.)

It looks like the ranged attack command might finally be fixed. Today's (3/5) Test Center notes:
Pets: Added system messages for when you toggle your pet's ranged attack mode on or off
As far as I know though that is pretty pointless since we cannot teach the ranged attack command in the first place. I may be out of date, I haven't actively used CH since I picked up novice tka, pets just slow me down now
