they have this rule so completely backwards it isnt even funny. 99 percent of pvp is within city limits in the game. if you are going to have a timer to "eliminate" griefing then it should be in the city not in the wild.
make it so instant calling of pets outside of cities limits, 30 sec timer in cities and you have your solution.
personally only a very few will even try to pull pets out in pvp so its basically nothing more than a timesink to institute ANY waiting period in the wild for a pet.
World
Removed the requirement for camps to call a pet (faction, creature, droid), mount or vehicle. There is a 30 second delay after calling your pet, mount or vehicle before it will appear. Combat during that 30 seconds will stop the call from completing. There is a one minute delay after combat where you will not be able to call a pet, mount or vehicle. Players will not be able to call a pet, mount, or vehicle while riding a vehicle or mount.
This is bad. Very bad.
That means if something attacks you, there is first a 60 second wait to call something, then 30 seconds for it to arrive. Should you be attacked at any point during this 90 seconds, you get to start the process over again.
For all those saying the 30 second rule was not a big deal, do you now get why we said it will be a problem?

I believe we need clarification here. Your previous post stated camps were staying and the 30 second timer was out. Now they are testing the timer?
Whats "additional Checks?"
I thought, this was solved, and all BE-built pets show correct level now?

i've tested this on test:
after combat you cant call for 1 minute, not even in a camp or a city.
After the minute, you can call instantly in camps and cities.
Outside camp cities, it takes 30 seconds, after the 30 seconds the pet appears automatic.
If you attack in these 30 secs, it will take at least 1 minute untill you can call again (depending on city/camp/wild)
Even worse: the minute timer doesnt give a signal when its over, so you spend the last 20 seconds clicking call every two seconds, like the shuttle droid.
This is the first time i heard about the extra minute anyway. I could have lived with the 30 seconds. But the extra minute suxx0rs bigtime.
Please tell me you bugged this.
To those testing on Test Center, I thank you for your time, and your ability to help out. Sorry I can't jump on and help out.
I am in full agreement over the timer now. I was basically thinking that it would just be another feature, nothing really helpful, but it would save some time if I ran out of camps/no bone or hide.
However, now that they threw this whole, timer is cancelled when entering combat, that is really unacceptable. I firmly believe that the DEVs are completely trying to get rid of CH as a solo prof. That we must all take up secondary profs to be able to get any real progress done. I myself am an aspiring Teras Kasi, however, I have tried to fight with just pets many times and it is horrid. This timer is virtually useless now, I doubt I'll ever really use it.
Too bad that we don't have any forums where the DEVs have a chance to read our comments about changes to the game that WE play... wait a minute...
Yeah.
Like how we asked repeatedly to have the obstructive and unnecessary camp requirement removed, but instead got it replaced with a set of timers. And when we kicked up a fuss about that, we got back the original, SUPPLEMENTED with a set of timers.
There's communication alright, and it's far better than no communication. But all communication passes through Thunderheart, and he's got no love for the "poke players."
Say, you get into a fight, and your pet is low on health. Okay, you wait 1 min.
Call another pet out, wait 30 sec.
That's 1 min and 30 sec to call your next pet out. That's a little bit extreme.
More then likely people are going to end up still getting novice scout just for the camp anyways, since people have scout for terrain negotiation anyways.

This is EXACTLY the kind of nonsense that makes this game NOT FUN to play!
As Creature Handlers, we are going to have to endure this cra-p until the rest of the community starts to use droids when the Droid Invasion launches. Then everyone will realize what these delays REALLY mean in practice.
