Will any, or do y'all know yet, if any of the tameable pets on Mustafar will be mountable? And do they follow the same "grow as they get xp" rule?

There are tameable fleas that are mountable, just like the one for a purchase preorder except that they are level 65 and up. And yes they do follow that rule.

Another note, the pets that I tamed were useing specials on their own (I had not taught them any). I have a Lava Strider (Flea) that was doing hamstring, imperiling feint 1, and blind during just about every fight.

This may change before release though so don't get your hopes up on this one.

CH content? Level 80?New pets? I better call Satan, I thinkHell just frooze over.

I hope to God that the content is balanced well for CH and the goals have meaning among the masses. I hate content that is just implemented to keep us quiet.

I am happy to hear we are getting some love, thanks SOE, but the pet grind system still licks monkey nutz!

I feel we will need more data pad room.

We will see, fingers crossed for no headaches or bugs!

I can only imagine the amount of XP it will take to unlock all the slots on a level 80 pet now. For 5 million+ XP, this new level 80 pet better shot lasers out of its eyes.

Is it just me being negative when im thinking that i can only be a good CH if i buy the new expansion ?

Is this not another markeing ploy by SOE forceing players who want to compete at the top to fork out for the new expansion ?

CH content ?, level 80 ? new pets ? yes all avaolable if you pay SOE hsrd earned cash..

Finally i can partially speak of these new CH changes. Its been killing me! lol

Its extremely cool obviously that our max pet level is going to 80. I think it makes perfect sense that you have to be a level 80 toon to weild a level 71+pet. Its just to much power for a level 54-ish toon to have access to and we would be begging for nerfs to smite us otherwise. Making BE a combat prof is a good idea but BE's can still Sample and create the tougher pets so this change doesnt impact them or their profession directly really.

Im on the path of aquiring the abilities for the increased taming and its quite simple to start, even a level 1 toon can get the ball rolling on the items, but it will take some time to get everything for taming up to level 80's, which is fine. Considering how effective a level 70 pet is in the hands of a creature handler that knows his trade, these new level 71-80 critters are going to be truly scary. If every MCH out there could run out and get these with little effort we would get Nuked by a nerf bomb quite quickly i feel. Leveling the new tougher pets isnt a real concern i dont feel being as currently on live a 70 can be maxed out in a week normally or a few hours using a macro at a junk spawn.

So far i have not found any new/missing specials on mustafar critters but im not ruling out that they are here... *fingers crossed*

Needless to say there are a number of CH on the beta server diligently working to test this new stuff out for our prof.

I believe that the pets that are spamming specials on there own are just quirkrs of nature and this wont go live. My CL70 flea has been doing Feint l1,Bleed L2,Hamstring L2 and maybe others all on his own, and he does not show any innates in the D-Pad. I tamed him before they added these specials into the game with a patch however, and I feel that he was just considered like any other creature by the system and not a pet. I did question Rogue_5 about this live in person as he was dropping by in-game to replace the frogs that tend to hop into the lava after an undate, lol. He said he would look into it. Even if it does go live, a cannot see it staying, as it would seem to much for the nerf bat to overlook. I mean my CL80 pet(someday) with at least 12 trainables that I control PLUS any 3 or 4 that he uses on his own. That would most certainly be sweet, but I think, that if not by live, it will eventually go away. But for hopes sake, lets not discuss this any further and see if they miss it,lol. I did my part and brought it to their attention, not my fault if they don't fix it

I've read this whole thread, ok CL80 with some work, new critters, etc, etc etc. What I am looking for is if any of you working with the beta, have any knowledge if current problems are being addressed, like pet/mount behavior, speed, losing XP, losing ranged attack, and the other abnormalites that currently exist. Along with the missing pet specials on existing planets. Would anyone like to comment (those working the beta) whether any of the current issues/bugs in existance are being/have been addressed? That's what I would like to hear about, after the bubbly stuff . I see no one addressing the current issues and thier status........and this bothers me. Would any of you care to comment???? Ko-aIri? What's up? Are these fair questions??

i'm very curious toward the validity of the MCH needing to be CL80, as well.

are we sure the CL80 req is confirmed?

apologies if i've missed that specific in this thread...

Of course these are fair questions. All the issues are still on the table and have been reported/mentioned, of course the focus on this particular thread (and the current overall focus for the next couple weeks IMHO) is the expansion.

Admittedly, we've been given a lot of attention the last couple months, and of course there is more to fix, but I'm sure we'll see some of our issues addressed in the near future.

Yes, this was confirmed by the dev team. Like anything else in the game, I suppose it's subject to debate/change, but at the moment that will be the requirement.

I know many of you are CH/BEs and this isn't making you too happy, so it's worth bringing up as an issue... I personally would rather them count BE as a combat profession and grant CL (since BEs are necessary for GCW base destruction and have to DNA sample from high-end creatures) but that's technically a BE issue not a CH issue.

Wow eighty I did not think they would go that far. I did have a high suspicion that a increase to ch level was in the pipe. Simply because they were still jerrymandering creature levels on yavin dathomir and endor. If anyone else way paying attention they would have noticed the maklok has changed levels 3 or 4 times since it was supposedly done.

My question is will the boss mob klikniks spawn babies when you pop the nest. Some of those guys are sights to see.

The sad part is this may be too much good news, and we may become too strong that worries me. Though its good news for grouping with high level pets they wont need to be in the group if you have say a level 80

Big note guys as far as I can figure stockpiled ultra pets will no longer convert into the new system. I think the devs have totally cut that option out. Would expect that to be totally removed from the game by the time this hits. I have tried with pets that should convert one way or the other and ones under 10k health no dice no conversion.

Hmmmm. So as a Master CH I am supposed to believe that I have to have a MASTER of an elite profession that has NOTHING TO DO WITH Creature handling just to tame and control the mystical new level 80s? I am NOT pleased at all and any other crafter in the game who is also a CH should feel quite negitive about this. Maybe I won't bother with the expansion since I cant use the one useful thing for a CH in it.
