The CL80 bit, that applies to all over right? Not just mustafar? So Malkok's and Kiltnik's (or any creature CL70-80) across the universe will start spawning babies now?

Did the elusive "pinning attack" show up? (Or knockdown 3, etc)?

It was said above that "using items" you can tame over CL70. Are these looted items, quested items, crafted items?

Of course, I understand you may/may not be able to answer these questions, which is cool too.

well , I assume that the CL80 applies to ALl creatures, I may need to venture off-planet again to see if any babies not on Mustafar are above CL70. The last time I was off, there were no babies period on Mustafar as they were "tweaking" and it was almost a week with no babies. I can't say for sure since we don't have the ability to try to tame over CL70 yet, but I think if any above CL70 are anywhere else then we could. The few CL70 and below I've tamed have not had any specials so I cannot say for sure. I know MY CL70 lava flea guard I tamed my first day before they went bye-bye for a week ,then added creature specials to the game just spams specials on his own, lol. He does KD,hamstring, and feint on his own. Iv'e been grouped with him most the time so I havent leveled him but once, and it would just take too much time for me to try and re-learn most of what I've learned on Live. The frogs have a CH pet ability option that I hope they turn on before it's over so we can see for sure.

Well if some one must be CL 80 and MCH then I believe they should make BE give CL. I am Master BE Master CH and am only level 57. I am a CH because I need the protection of my pets while I sample DNA from very agressive creatures.

I believe they need to rethink this.

I'm sorry I can't join the /cheer here. In fact I find this quite depressing. I'm a crafter working my way up CH. I choose CH cause I like the pet idea but mostly cause it was a class I could do well with my crafting. But now I find that I won't be able to "be all that I can be" cause I can never get to lvl 80.

Beat me to it... stupid job keeping me off the forums!

Thanks for posting all the info so far. utahraptor-strife's post is basically cut/paste from the Beta boards, since the beans have already been spilled I would read that for the highlights. Please remember however, this is technically all subject to change/modification prior to the expansion's release!

I've stickied this thread for discussion on the topic... I hope it brings some good cheer since it's one of the most requested changes to the CH profession since the Combat Upgrade went live!

There has been no confirmation yet that CL 71-80 pets will spawn anywhere besides Mustafar (though it is of course possible) and I will see if I can get a definitive answer. It would be nice to see Klikniks return for sure.

Since they don't want "spoilers" posted I won't say how you get the ability just yet, though I have a very good idea of how it's accomplished based on a dev post in the Beta forums. But it does require a special item or ability, it is not an automatic gift. We'll talk more about that when we're allowed to share of course.

I got the distinct impression from SpaceRancor that this doen't apply to all species throughout the unviverse. If you look at Rancor's post, the 3rd bullet point from the bottom is referring to a question I asked in regards to an earlier post he made. It was when he first revealed some specifics on the whole deal and he said that "all creatures but one" will have tamable babies. It took me untill the next day to grasp what he said, and I posted something to the effect of "so does this mean we can tame baby kliks and so on" and then that was his reply. That he meant babies on Mustafar. I don't think they will be making any critters that don't currently have babies now, spawn them when this launches. But ya never know, I just find his need toqualify his statement fairly telling.

But to be honest, theres some nice new creatures on Mustafar that I would rather have, even more than a Krayt. Those Large animals are not really usable in combat, and are merely window dressing. Yes they would be cool to walk around with., but I'm not wasting a dpad slot on window dressing. There's a just plain mean looking creature called the Jundak, that looks somewhat like a cross between a T-rex and a kangaroo mouse, lol. Also the xundank is pretty cool looking, almost robotic with steel looking plating on it. And my very favorite for overall coloring and markings is the smoking blistmok raptor, its almost irridesant (sp) kinda rainbow looking in a cool way. I do wish there were a few more species here, but it's certainly no less than ROTW and these are all tameable! So, I'm definetly happy!

I'm in this boat as well. I'm a master BE, master CH & novice ranger (CL 59). I've been a BE since the games launch and took CH to complement my BE profession.

I feel that master CH should be able to tame lvl 80 creatures even without having combat level of 80. Or make the BE profession a combat profession as well (we do get recon armor mitigation). I know it makes hardly any sense to add combat levels to the BE profession, but a lot in this game makes no sense anyway, so why stop now.

Will any, or do y'all know yet, if any of the tameable pets on Mustafar will be mountable? And do they follow the same "grow as they get xp" rule?

I agree I am Master CH Master BE if you need to be CL level 80 to tame Level 80 mobs then they should make BE a Combat profession.. Many many CH are BE they go hand in hand so lets hope the dev's take this into consideration

well all this info sounds great at least for double elites i do not want to change my template and my cl is only lvl 58 guess this means no lvl 80's for me unless they decide to make BE a proffesion that adds to you cl wich they realy need to do since i will now have to sample from lvl 80 creatures to make the lvl 80 be pets. Guess instead of dying 5 times each time i play i can look forward to 50 deaths each time i play. Not trying to bring anyone down the changes sound awsome at least for most ch's

I am not a BE but thought I would ask this anyway on their behalf - Will BEs now be able to make CL80 BE pets - If they cant and are still restricted to level 70 pets I can see the manufacture and sale of BE pets dropping significantly as all MCHs will be after their level 72-80 pets rather than the CL70 max that a BE could make for them.
