ROFL!! Been there lol!
Favorite memory is taking down a Krayt with a full group of 20 and having it take longer than 20 minutes. Man we were proud of ourselves...
The Anchorhead/Bestine PvP sickness!!!
Walking everywhere!?!?!?!? You MUST be kidding me lol
Taking longer than 2 days to master a combat profession...because there were no buffs, no armor, and no one-shots!

The first time I went to the agrilit swamp with my two best buddies. That was one hell of a good time. Everything was so amazingly new back then. The bestine vs AH pvp was also one the the best things possible. I'd be out running missions when all of a sudden I'd recieve a /tell saying "DUDE OMG GET BACK HERE!!! IMPS ARE RAIDING!!!!". Ahh those were the good ol days. I also remember the first time i saw a jedi. It was the most amazing thing ever. I still remember his name "Buyme OnEbay". Then an imp master swordsman came and killed him and i never did see him again
. O well, it looks like theres too many jedi around nowadays anyway...

You get 1K to START NOW? lol it was 250 credits for me... anyway
-Walking Everywhere
-Running between Bestine and Anchorhead
-Not traveling to another planet for about 3 months lol
-Was unable to solo a Tuscan Commoner
-Seeing a Camp and running to it to say hi to the owner
-CDEF Rifle
-Corpse Runs
I watched that Beta SWG and was amazed that SWG was once what I just described above. Now people including myself dont have the time to walk. I pull my Swoop out just to go from my PC house to the SP.

Fighing nunas outside Keren, and between kills sitting to heal
-Getting DE skill wthout macros, I remeber spending WEEKS to get my first line in DE
-Anchorhead and Moenia as the center of the world
-The Tusken Ford rades...oh I remeber those, walking for a long time just to reach there
-Jabba's and the walk....going across half of Tatooine to get there
-Not knowing what armor no buff is for months.
I actually surprise how I've done it without it.
-Using Tactics against a lair of Chubas as novie artisan in the times where there were only killing and delivery missions.
-being so happy when I got 50k after a week of work
-Those Fammbas Hunts, I remebrer those, when I first saw it I was like "How we gonn kill this huge thing?!"
-Starting as a rebel and being so proud of myself after getting my own litle squad of troops.
-Actually talking to people in the cantinas for about 20-40min
-Imps rades on Anchorhead

good topic micfiygd, i loved the days of "nooblet hood"
lol to whoever wrote about themselves going up starship ramp to go to another planet i did that too
earliest memory: getting a wooden pole and thinking i was the coolest, then going with 1 other person and try to kill rock mites. he died and then left me, i was alone, then i died
i was determined to complete the mission, i walk the 1k and the mission is gone! heartbreak
best memory: wanting to get badges so i ran all around tat getting badges it took forever, when i got 5 badges i was so happy!!!!
krayts killed me walking to the graveyard.
i saw a kimo and nearly died of shock
when ifirst learned of buffs i went around asking random people(i didn't know only doctors could buff) if i could work for a buff lol
let's go back to the goold old days

There is WAY to many things i miss to to even try to mention them. But one thing i remember inparticular, were the squill hunting parties that used to start to form at the bestine bank.
This one time, a Master Bounty Hunter had just come back from doing jabba's missions (had a rantok equiped to prove it, before badges
) the whole group of 20 stood in awe then ran after him asking questions. He was like a god to everyone

I thought eating different foods would keep increasing your stats?
So there I was for a good hour running around foraging for foods.
Next minute they were all gone.
oh and for the first week I had no idea how to make a waypoint so it was very easy to get lost, but it was actually fun to explore.
Also thinking that a Krayt would give like 100k xp
Game sure was a lot different back then.

I remember how Iwas trying to make worts missions from Bestine and got triple incap overand over again each time, I hardly made 1 pistole box in marksman for a week. I was so confused, then some guys came and "spited" on my face and laughed at me and calling me noob and I decided that these multi-player on-line games are not for me (SWG was and is the first one)...
I was enraged and decided to go kill final wort before quiting and revenge him for all my grief. Actually I did kill it with my nice CDEF but the other came and incaped me. I did cntrl-esc and was ready to hit dissconect button to leave this game entirely and then, from a froggy screen I saw someone came to me. I hitted esc, got back to normal screen. The name of a guy was Alaric, he was a local weaponsmith, and he game nme for free killer (yes!!! lol) scout blaster and FWG5 for future. Just said - be safe and left. And the next minute I started to kill this worts with my Scout blaster with one shoot!!! OMG
Too sad that guy, Alaric, left the Game by the time I became normal player, I always wanted to thank him somehow.

I came in last summer with the 14-day free trial noobs, as someone else put it. Hehe.
Even though buffs and speeders and such were all available, I didn't know about them! I studiously read my manuals and figured that delivery missions were the way to go. I somehow found 12k delivery missions from Theed to Moenia and managed to get 100k in my bank account after hours of play. I was exctatic! I went on a huge shopping spree, buying fancy clothes and the best armor I could afford. (I still have screen caps of this outfit: Bone leggings, Comp Boots, Chest,Bracers, and one Bicep, one padded Biicep and a Tantel Helmet. Hahahaha.) I didn't know anything about high-levelStimpacks or Foods. I was working my way through scout toward creature handler (The vast array of animals is what drew this then-zoology student to the game) and making myself Stim As as I went. Hehe. I was going solo most of the game, because I'm generally a solitary person and most people had been playing longer than me, so they weren't into my "noob activities," but if a group wanted me to come hunt with them I was more than happy to. I thought the epitomy of game experience was running out into the wilds of Naboo (where I placed my first house and nearly died because it was so neat - funny that I'm an architect now....) and killing Kaadu with 5 other novice Marksmen, dragging my baby Nuna along with me to help kill things 10 times its size. Running into a Gungan Temple or even a Head Statue was so unbelievably awesome. I later went on to get every single badge in the game just because I wanted desperately to explore.
This is one reason why Rage of the Wookiees interests me so. A whole new planet to explore! And you can sure as hell believe that I'll be running every inch of that thing on foot, so as not to miss one precious inch of exploration.
You see, I'm a 3D modeler about to go to Grad School for Computer Graphics. My dream is to actually work in Concept for LucasFilm one day and it always has been, since I was about 10 years old. When you have all the graphics on this game at 100% it is an amazingly beautiful play experience. The graphics of this game have actually brought out emotion in me, rare for a game. When I see a creature, it is genuinely cute or frightening. When I see a sunset, it is beautiful. There are places and objects that put me in awe of their design, even though I'm very familiar with the nuts and bolts of how they are created. It was this realism to the graphics that also helped draw me into the game and that continues to keep me here.
Other noob-ish experiences that I cherish:
- Buying my first speederbike at a place that no longer exists, afterworking my butt off to get the credits and using my last speeder rental ticket to get myself out there.
- My first time on Endor I ran the MarauderThemepark (which is still one of my favorites)and then, having an hour left on my buffs, I decided to visit the Deathwatch Bunker. I had only heard tell of this place. It was like a legend to me, a myth that I had to see for myself. I drove up and the woods got super-dark even though the timer said it was still daytime (I have an extreme phobia of the dark - I was freaking out). Just outside the Bunker was a camp that I ran into and was nearly killed by these ugly little alien Ewoks. So I was already on edge. I get to the buker and am a bit disappointed at the one little droid outside ready to shoot at me, until suddenly 800 tiny red dots appear on my overhead map, all around where I am standing. I freak for a second, until I figure out it's the NPCs in the underground bunker. And then the droid one-shotted me. Hehe. I still can'tstand to be anywhere near that place...
- Making sure I had at least Novice Entertainer when I ran the Jabba themeparkso I could dance in the throne room. Hehe.
- Those first few days when Patch 10 came out and becoming a Jedi was still this huge secret that even the Beta testers knewn little about. The first time I rode into the Village after the Old Man visited me and scared the crap out of me while I was standing by the mist wall with the spooky music playing.
So many awesome things that, even though I entered the game long after the "good ole days" had passed, I experienced on a siliar level to those whole started up in the very beginning.
