By far my best memory...for those involved in the Tyrena/Doaba Guerful part of SWG in The Day...the Drall Cave. We tryed so hard to beat that thing, and we actually got pretty far but failed. We thought there was something godly at the end.

A year later I went back solo to conquer them...and died. THo we were noobs, we were badass noobs.

I remember all the things mentioned including the corps runs, no bikes, no mounts, and doing drop off missions. I ran from espa to eisley and back a few times.

My most fondest memory was probally the line/train of ppl all running to the fort. Once they got there, they would all go prone at the back entrance of the fort and some noob or crazy guy would run in and bring out 1 or 2 out to kill. If you were lucky they would bring out a warlord!

Also the squill cave was named "suicide Cave" cus you were probally gonna die there. Ahh the old days...

BTW i watched that video and i actually started to cry....

i rember my firts day when i tough i was a cool solo-hunter with just makrman 0031 and some scout,

i was insanely poor and i got enough money to buy me a laser carbine, the first thing i tough was that the higher speed, the faster the weapon is lol. so i bough my new laser carbine and a piece of bone armor and i tough i was already uber and went to dathomir, i spent all credits i saved for 6 days to go there. i dint know about buffs also, so when i reached endor i started walkin and just 500m away from the city i saw a rancor and he destroy my ass, i cloned and i was poor, cannot travel heavily wounded and i dint know what to do, i almost wanted to start a new character, thena master bounty hunter apeared with a launcher pistol and he gave me 2k credits and i think i was rich and powerfull again, then he took me to corelia and teached me the basics of the game, buff ham costs, armor, weapons, all that and when i saw him on action i wet my pants.

that was in my 14 day trial.

also some stuff are

-having a group of 6 peaple making giant wort mision on tantoonie, and dying all time and making lot of camps and traps

-watching a master elite fighter was a honor to me

-i was doing all posible to even see 1 jedi around publish 8, going to poi, asking peaple, even offering money.

-walking, not knowing about buffs,

it was fun times, after i learned of the master bh, i spent 2 weaks reading forums learning, about pve, best profesions etc. and 2 weaks later i buy the full version on the game, and ik nowed how to play and well i manage to be what i am now, rich, cool weapons alot of knowledges and having fun

I remember the good ol' days.

I remember starting off on Talus when you could actually find people in Dearic.

I remember using Burst Run as a way to get from Dearic to the Imperial Outpost.

I remember walking up to a random group in that Outpost and having them actually help me get the necessary 200 Imp Faction Points to be able to do the Imp missions. They then let me be part of their guild.

I remember this team had only TWO people that had composite armor.

I remember that these people were millionares! (and it was a big deal! lol)

I remember how "fast" the mounts were when they first came out. (I tried them the other day after being used to using my Flash Speeder... they're SLOW... lol)

I remember hearing about what was happening on other planets, but having to save up if I wanted to leave the planet. (and yes, I remember trying to walk up the ramp on the ship, lol (maybe the dev's should listen to this and add it to the game, lol))

I remember "Player Cities" before the City Halls were introduced.

I remember 20 people taking on an enraged rancor mission and having it be a FUN challenge.

I remember when AT-STs was an Imp's key to Immortality.

I remember when people made their own fun instead of whining to the Dev's about lack of content (LOOK AT YOUR POIs, PEOPLE! DUNGEONS ARE EVERYWHERE!)

I remember when 90% of the galaxies population were Wookies.

I remember when NOBODY lived on Lok (Eclipse Server)

I remember when Dantooine was empty.

I remember farming for Holocrons (after the "big-composite-bang")

I remember the announcing of THE FIRST JEDI!

I remember when the reason you stunk was because you stunk... NOT because the Dev's "nerfed" your profession. (and BTW, people, generally, didn't care if you stunk... instead they bought you EVERYTHING so that you wouldn't stink as bad!)

And lastly...

I remember when "THE GRIND" started... and SWG has still yet to recover from this ('twas a sad day)

ahhh the good old days,

I remember my first day, I had a mate that had played it for a couple of months help start me off, asked what planet I was on, then said "Stay Still!" a few minutes later i was getting /slap spams off my mate.

Was well impressed he managed to find me on such a big planet with loads of people on it, now i know the secret of /findfriend it doesnt seem quite so impressive now.

Oh and finally being able to solo worts in under 5 minutes has got to be the best feeling in the world.

Now the game is just full of power players and no content.... and riflemen kill stealing lol

ho hum... bring on the expansion and see what happens, all I can say is if the CU messes things up even more I am off to another game!

Why is it that Anchorhead has been left? In my newbie days I remember it as being a very "alive" city. Visited it a month ago, one other person.

Why can't we have it like in the old days? We get used to be "immortal", to drive speeders.

I was really satisfied getting my first 1000cr, buying a Bone Chest and Armor Pants, one of my happiest SWG-moments.

exactly..... couldn't have say that better than you...

i was almost to quit a few months ago and now i'm having fun every day. there are many dungeons, even small ones really funny. there are high end dungeons too. people complain about lack of content, but i personally see action, fun and aventure every day. from random NS/smc spawns, to caves, Corvette dungeon, ... how many people made a mandaoliran piece???? that's a nice place, the dwb, and that represent what we lost when buffs arrived: teamwork/fun. everyone is useful, from melee guys, range guys, to crafters. i think that this dungeon is pretty nice except it is a little bit hard.

Seems that everyone here miss the old times...

The CU "i'm praying" will give back some of those elements we miss so much.

This incredible game is a MMORPG, it means that you need to interact with other peoples.

i see some peoples saying i want to solo, i prefer to solo, i hate playing in group,etc...

but this game is like a life. and in life you hardly can success without other peoples.

What we need now is not go back in the old days, but get the old days come to us, get those little elements we miss:

Group! everything comes from group, from interaction, from life.

At the beginning, nearly all cities were alive, from Anchorhead to Doaba, from Moenia to Dearic. Dantooine was like hell for us.

So to finish my little post, i can say that EVERYONE on Intrepid server, from noobs to veterans, just send me a tell and we'll go to have FUN!

I hope we'll get SWG soul back because it deserves it.

/deepbow to all the old school guys...
