As a MCH I use BE pets. I like my lvl 34's with the resists and armor so I can have two out. But, I invested my skill points and my time getting CH. Here are a couple idea's
1. Take the attack option off of BE pets, or any pets, if the person holding pet is not at least novice.
2. If you have not invested the points for the two rows of scout and novice ch no pet at all.
3. non-ch's should only be able to hold mountable pets.
Any of these three would work and still not kill the BE prof as ch's could still use their low lvl monster pets, but only ch's.
These are not perfect idea's but they are idea's that could be implimented with a quick fix since jedi and JTL is taking up so much of the Dev's time. Also it would give us back some of our uniqueness.

.....hmm don't know what that was all about but, .....what I was going to say is you are inflaming the CH community.
How about being a little more constructive and asking all the CH brethren to band together and simply ask them to no longer train these CL10 pets. You have a far greater chance of doing that than you have ofgetting the Devs to ban Non-CH pets all together...really.
Just offering my honest opinion.
The BE's have used their SP to make them but, that doesn't mean you as a CH community have to train them. And, as part of the CH and BE community, I will not sell them to Non-CH's. I will work with you all if we stand together on this and be bloody resolute about it.
Inflaming the community with negativity solves nothing and usually solicits unwanted nerfs by the Devs. Let's figure this out without involving the devs....
What do you say?

I couldn't agree more about the ch's not taming them for ppl. But most BE's that work hard to figure out how to make these pets have enough ch to at least train them in the basic skills. For us to refuse to train them is a rebelious act that isif not akin to spitting into the wind then at least to spitting sideways into it.
Now we all know in reality the powers that be are going to do exactly what they want to do, when they want to do it. So this like any of our posts are just our way of shaking our fists at the sky. We have that right. At least they haven't taken the right to voice our opinion from us. Lets not try to take it from each other.

I am sure that the CH community has seen these CL10 monsters and cringe everytime this discussion pops up. What I want to know is how did a majority of these petsmakeit into the hands of a Non-CH...trained?
My point is that, as CH's and BE's we should stick together and make sure that these pets don't make it into the hands of Non-CH's. As players we havecontrol over what we tame or sell. Anytime I have seen a petition against something it has brought about thoughtless nerfs andscrewed up things for players. This one issue I would ratherleave to the community and not the Devs. If the Devs try and fix it, lord knows what "will"happen.
Maybe, I am an eternal optimist in thinking that all players have an ounce of integrity that they can use to remedy this....or maybe I am a diehard pessimist in thinking the Devs could fix something without screwing up the game too bad. I flinch at the sound of a petition to nerf something, kinda like the dog that has been whacked with the paper a few too many times.
What do ya think? Can we rally the responsefrom the community to take personal action or do you think the Devs would better at swinging the bat? Your call man...sounds like a double-edged sword to me.
You guys run with it...Peace...and I am out. Going back to the BE forum to listen to the hate...lol.

not all ch read the forums and there are very tight guild's out there if there is a BE and MCH there im sure they will hook up all there brothers if they can reguardless of the ch community ethics.
again I say the devs know about it and I really dont care how much code it involves they put restrictions on so many things 1 more shouldn't be a problem, if it takes a week or a month it should be fixed
If I was a medic and found a way to buff people like a master doc and it spread to the piont that 20% of medics were buffing how long would it take for action against it
I know after the last few weeks the ch boards here are trying to keep they're emotions in check,l hard to do in light of the constant beating we take
I can say this much after jtl is released things better start changing its just plain disgusting

Let me be the first to lead by example.
As a Master BE and CH, I will do my part in making folks aware of this issue on the Tempest server. I will ask all BE's and CH's I run into to not sell or tame these type creatures for Non-CH's. I solemnly swear that I will not sell or tame these creatures myself for Non-CH's to use.
Who is with me?

I think this could definitely be on the right track. What if non-CH's could only use trick 1, trick 2 and follow? Then you could remove the low level restriction, moving it up a tad. I haven't totally thought this out yet, but if the CL level became the level at which you can use a creature in combat, then any character could hold a pet, but only CH's could USE the pets. I think this could open up the BE market for pets as well as the CH market for pets. Only problem I haven't worked out yet is how to stop non-CH's from pulling out a rancor or something along those lines even though they wouldn't be able to use it.

cl 10 non-ch pets that have over 3k ham are an abomination, a slap in the face of every CH left in this game. BE's make them because they can, and people buy them to have the tanking power of a CH which just further cheapens CH as a profession.
they are an exploit, they are wrong, they are disgusting.
if my rock beetle was so overpowering back in the day, then what the FK can u call these cl10 9k heath 59-60kinetic resist pets?
all BE pets that have more than 3k ham and higher than 10-15 kinetic resist should be deleted, simple fix and make the BE's crafting where they cannot make these anymore. oh and an addition to that, remove all those BS cl 1,0 Rancors and other BE exploited pets (bugged) that allow people to call out 3 powerful pets at 1 time.
on a final thought we mustonce againrealize, CH is a profession that breaks the game, along with jedi. you cant balance them against other classes, so you will always have problems.
why cant u balance them? CH plays like a 2nd character, so its essentially 2 on 1 and jedi? well jedi is MEANT to be stronger than any other class, so try to balance them and u get mess and more mess.

I wonder why everyone doesn't realize that the nerf stick is actually a boomerang and it will ALWAYS come back to YOU when you throw it. I've been an MCH since the beginning and always will be as long as I play SWG. The last thing I want is more CH nerfs. I personally like my high-level BE pets, especially sinceI'm not "allowed" to tame comparable wild creatures. Sure, I'd rather tame my own, but that hasn't been an option since Grand-Nerf-1. Some "adjustment" may be needed in the current high-HAM CL10 pets, but please don't scream to remove non-CH pets completely, eliminate BE's ability to craft high-resist pets or otherwise nerf someone else. That will only get us nerfed more - guaranteed. Focus on improving the state of this profession, not taking away from someone else. I want more storage and more babies - not another nerf - not for anyone.

And I'm still pretty angry that, as a non-ch,the 2200HAM peko-peko and 3200HAM cowardly gurreck I've had since right after launch are stuck in my datapad when all Ievery used/wanted them for was as non-combat pets.

Let BE's make whimpy non-CH pets if need be. But they would need to be very whimpy. I AM SICK SICK SICK SICK of seeing a non-ch with a 6-9kHAM, with high resists and/or armor. With non-ch pets like that running around, all that crap we were fed about balance doesn't mean a damn thing, and it further isolates and trivializes our profession...
