Denezib trolls everywhere. You should see her comments on the Commando forums.

For that matter, you should see TH's comments on commandos, if you think he has it in for CHs.

Uhhh, I am a CH, despite your wishes that I am not. My truthful statement that my CL27 Gurrcat has never run away since the last patch still stands.

You're just one of those CH's who wants to have her cake and eat it too.

This profession is not broke. The only thing broke is your gaming skills.

I'd like to thank those that have added positive, or at least constructive, feedback to this thread.

Denezi, just because you aren't having a problem with your pet dosen't mean there isn't one.

I had a month run where I had no problem at all storing my bike or it autostoring on me, but everyone else around me was cluttering the place up with their's. I didn't run around braging it was my "leet gaming skills" that allowed me to store it, it was just dumb luck.

My CL57 BE Razor Cat never ran a day in his life till the last publish, since that publish I need to KD things to let them work the range issue out, then things are fine. The problem started when pets decided to stand on their owners, so it's pretty obvious it isn't a skill issue, it's a bug.

Why don't you try this test:

(1) Usingtwo CL35 armored pets, and your rifleman skills, attack a Piket lair, first sending out your pets, then firing your rifle from 60 meters out. Examine your combat log and record how much damage the Pikets did to you.

(2) Using no pets at all, stand 60 meters from the lair and use your rifleman skills to attack the Pikets. Examine your combat log and record how much damage the Pikets did to you.

In Test 1, you will take ZERO damage. In Test 2, you will either be nearly dead, or dead.

This is the advantage of the CH class.

But then again, you're probably one of the incompetent CHs who can't even make 20k credits an hour running missions.

Actually according to the manual CH is a ELITE profession. Hybrid professions are supposed to be stronger a la BH and commando.

I think the point many people are trying to make by whineing is we went from the strongest elite combat profession to the weakest. I slowly have begun to master rifleman (cause I enjoy that too) and as I get further and further in rifleman I use my pets less and less.
I read the combat screen as a comparison and as a 3/0/0/2 rifleman I do more damage per second than my 2 pets. with my t21 and headshot 3 I have hit for asmuch as 3K worth of damage in 1 shot. my pets do about 200-300 each (max total is 600).

Why is >1/2 an elite profession stronger than a master elite profession.
The Devs may never know

um Yawn

did that experment months ago with the patch that made a 50% chance that the target would aggro you and not your pets, posted the results.

Is is just me or is the underlying purpose of everyone of DeneziB'sposts nothing more thanadvertisements for BE'd Pets?

'With my two CL25 AR1, 60-65% Kinetic-Whatever I can make 200k an hour doing picket missions'

Unless you kept every good pet you made before theBE Adjustment Patch and I think those were suppose to have been adjusted as well, it was my understanding thatthe CL of BE'd Pets now reflect their stats soBE's could no longer make low-level creatures with Uber Stats ie. CL15Gurrcat w/ 10k HAM,350-400 Dmg., 65% Kinetic, 80% Blast, etc thus preventing the Dabbler issue again.

Why don't you try this test:

Here's a few for you to try DeneziB:

1) Find a group of social creatures.
- Send your pet to attack it.
- Call it back away from the others.
- Tell it to regage.

2) Tell your pet to attack.
- Use your special command macro (specials don't work once in combat; go devs)

3) Tell your pet to attack.
- Tell your pet to stay.
- Tell your pet to attack.

4) Tell your pet to attack something on an 80 degree incline.

I guarantee your pet will run every time you do one of these.

Maybe you don't do these. Maybe all you do is send the pet in then blast it with an overpowered weapon. Great for you, but some of us are real handlers without major combat skills. We use our pets to herd creatures and control the battle because we have to use real tactics instead of a flamethrower. If all you do is tell the pet to attack then never issue another command, you're the one treating it like a weapon -- a fire and forget missile.

If you're a TKM with a Buff, you don't even need pets. He/She's just using them to divert Mob Attack, but by then, the Mob will be dead before your pet even has a chance to run away, especially if you are only killing Low-Medium Level Mobs. Try an Enraged Bull Rancor Lair, then we'll get serious.

actually we (or I at least) call you a troll becasue your posts seem to be writen to incite flame wars. All you have done is quote oponion (yours) and treat it as fact.
Then when confronted by facts(of which I have pointed out numerious to you) or told to do some research into what you are saying you ignore those comments and continue your narrow view into a much larger world.

Ch is the porrest treat profession by the devs, unlike ranger or DE we are not ignored, but nerfed with each publish. did we need some balance yes did the pendiulm swing to far yes!
The only way to truly appreciate that fact is to have been a CH back wen we were too UBER.
And given your statements you have not.

Im a master Rifleman, master CH, always have been (if not master level) and always will be, because I spent the ungodly time to use all of my skill points once, and i have 0 intention to do it all over again for a flavor of the month that will be nerfed next month.

So nowadays I use my rifles all the time, but I havent even pulled a pet in a combat situation in weeks. Its more of a hassle to deal with the pet running away and dragging the mob with it, or just plain dying within moments.

As a player at the endgame master level, I dont need to grind through bolle bols or sharnaffs for xp, so I would like to have my pets tank some of these new nasty 400k ham mobs or be in pvp. To do that with melee mitigation in pvp, or a 400k ham mob, the creatures need to be around 20k ham and 60-75& resists. Thats never going to happen so whats the result from logic? Drop CH now and quit wasting my time with it. Just wish they couldve let us know they were KILLING the profession, not balancing it.

Ever since the patch my ferocity 8 gurrcat has never run away once. Not once. If your pet is running away all the time, ... get a pet like mine.

Hmm, ... you don't know how to make more than 20k an hour running missions with a pet. You don't know how to find a pet that can hold aggro. You are really starting to paint yourself as more and more incompetent as a CH with every post.

BTW, let me post all the professions that I play with alts, just so you all do not think you exclusively own the professions boards. My alts are: BE, Commando, TK, Chef, Rifleman, CH.

I find it amusing that the people who call me a "troll" are only doing so because my viewpoints contradict theirs and agree with the Devs. All my initial responses have been rational and well-thought out. The real trolls always come back with simpleton-like nonsense that reveals why they should not allow 13 year olds to play this game.

Denezib,

I like how you troll, it has style and flair. But it also shows how stupid you really are. For instance, given the view that TH stated "a pet should be like grouping with another Player". It would be really stupid for me to take damage. You show yourself how clueless that statement is when Riflemen have no real melee damage modifiers. Why would a rifleman group with someone who let him take damage, pet or otherwise?

Denezib, I truly believe you are Blunderheart come here to justify what ever stupid, idiotic justification you have for your hate towards CH. You have not stated one rational thing that leads me to believe you are even a CH.

Test 1) You hit /tellpet attack. Pet attacks and starts to run. You use /tellpet follow. Pet follows back. You hit /tellpet attack again. Pet does not keep agro. You have no defenses because you are CH/Rifleman. You wake in clone center.

Test 2) You have no pet to rely on so you use Conceal Shot. /mindshot. Hit peace. Run 100m. Wait a few minutes. Go back and do over. No damage because Snipers work solo. They use stealth and tactics.

Next on the agenda. Since you know nothing, I do not want to see you talk to us real CH in any demeaning manner. Go troll somewhere else. Taloncard is one of the finest CH's I know in game. His expertise has been very valuable to me.

Denezib, I am glad your mommy bought this game for you at Xmas. When you grow up and play the class maybe you can come back and talk to the grownups. Go back to the kiddie table please.

Just to keep things in perspective....

Some of you may remember when TH asked how many credits people made per hour. Non-CH routinely answered anywhere from 150/hr-20,000/hr. CHs routinely answered 200,000/hour. I remember it well because I had not even replied to the thread with my own pitiful income rate (about 3k an hour at the time). I was staggered at the inflationary aspect of it and worse, that it was so clearly concentrated in a single class, whether dabbled or mastered. It was easy to see that in this regard the devs felt highly motivated to reduce the power of theCH.

I just recently moved to CH myself, heading to Master. I look forward to controlling ridiculous creatures of CL70, custom tailored to the mission I assign to them, whether faction or other PvE, or if I get any good at it, PvP. I did not get to enjoy any of the 200k/hr income that so many boasted of in that Income thread but I sure find the PvE aspects almost lazy easy with a mob in my pocket.

That some of the CH aspects are borked are beyond question. When I see a CL56 BE Rancor running like a little girl from a Sharnaff, there is much that is clear to any and all. When I look at Squad Leader orPikeman, I see that we have a long wait before we get our next go 'round of corrections, fixes and nerfs.

CHs were a pet project of Holocron (if I remember correctly) and when he left the nerfing began. CHs were "overpowered" in PvE and the nerf bat has hit too hard. But do the devs want the CH to go away? I don't think so, imho. I just think the devs are steering like a drunk on a dark highway for the middle of the road.

It is not my intention to argue with Meroc. I only want to put a little perspective on the case he presents.
