A CL 70 Bolotaur

At the very least, they should put all pets back to freshly tamed creatures, and restore vitality. That i'd consider a nessicity especially since we cant just go out and tame another Varacytl, and the quest can only be done once.
What i would enjoy is the above, plus a Bolotaur baby egg added to every MCHs inventory as a apology for making us all essentially start over. They can do a varacytl egg, so they can sure as hell do a bolotaur one.

LMAO
Since you cannot overwite specials after they are learned, having them learned would not help everyone. but having them leveld so all we have to do is go find the specials would help everyone

Straight conversion of existing pets with specials to new pets with learned specials is the preferred solution. My grizzled Kusak used to have a Dizzy/KD combo ... he should still have one. That's a fix. What we're getting isn't a fix and isn't an improvement, it's just new ... new bugs, new grind, new imbalances. I don't know why this team eschews slow steady improvement and prefers letting things rot for a year and then re-inventing them from scratch, it is *not* the professional way to do things, but we seem to have lost that war at the executive level long ago.
Out the door on 8/4, but good luck, amigos.

Having the Specials learned would help a *lot* of people, especially if the conversion tables were done properly. People picked those pets with those specials carefully -- a dizzy/KD is still a dizzy/KD, most MCH's with pets chosen for specific specials would be perfectly happy with those specials "new" versions being in place with their old friends .... and if they're not, well gee, then they'd have to do with everybody is going to have to do anyway-- grind millions of XP for new skills. At least this solution saves many long-suffering customers this chore. Will it eliminate 100% of MCH's re-grinding? No. But 50% of MCH's being hosed by an interminable grind instead of a simple fix is hella better than 100%.

However the hut for the abilities adds content, the regrind of the datapad adds grind. The new skills won't cause millions of xp to be ground like the existing datapad. From the TC results the CH can leard the skill from the xp gained in just a few rounds of combat and is not really significant
The existing datapad not being mature is a much larger xp grind for vets
I think this might be a hair too much to ask of the devs. It's very likely to get bugged up if all the things listed in original post are done.
I do think the vitality would be a good one. Also to make sure that pets our datapad will work the same way a new one would (i.e. you grind it out to open up special ability slots). 'cuz if they don't or are really buggy, that'll make a lot of MCH quite irritated and I'm sure bound to leave..
But honestly idea of going and taming new babies is sure nice. Though I hope babies aren't too rare, and I hope that they do introduce a few new types of animals we can tame (I 'dout it since didn't see it mentioned).

Nothing mutually exclusive about conversion of Specials and maturity of existing creatures in the datapad, in fact I considered that a given, that my converted Kusak would be at full maturity ... he oughta be by now, he's been by my side for nearly two years! Any more mature and I'll have to have him stuffed & mounted!

Well unless they change their mind existing pets will not be mature
Worse than expected. To get all 4 ability slots open you need to xp the crature 7 times so its 35 million xp to xp the existing datapad and at 800-1800 a pop thats as bad as a jedi grind
