So, did they blow Ko-a off entirely and just rush the Patch onto Live without implementing any of the suggestions?

number crunching

around 35 mil xp for you to lvl up your datapad as an average. if you own more highend pets enjoy a longer grind.

this means in order for us to have a fully leveled datapad we must spend about the time it takes someone to grind to a Master Lightsaber. why does our profesion have to grind xp to lvl and xp to lvl our pets.. are we going to have to level droids now?

Cheers Ko,

I would agree that the MCH do need some bonus to being master and maybe having our pets that are in our data pads raised to full maturity is a good idea...

I would like to request you consider any or all of the following ideas as a method of compensating the veteran Creature Handler population:

1. Restore all datapad pets to 100/100 vitality. At least if we have to grind our pets, they're starting at full strength.

2. Give some form of "pet token" allowing the handler to select a quantity of pets in their datapad (2-5 perhaps) to instantly level to the maximum trainable level. This would help alleviate the feeling most current veterans have that they have to essentially re-grind Creature Handler simply to play with the new system.

3. Allocate some of the new pet specials to existing handlers. Perhaps 2 L3 abilities, 3 L2 abilities, and 5 L1 abilities. Allow the CH to select these from a list similar to choosing veteran rewards (ideally), or assign them at random. Again, this would help veteran handlers feel less like they're starting over.

Excellent suggestions. Number 1 would be a good start. Many of the pets that could still be used after the CU took massive vitality loss while I learnt just what I could and could not do any more with them. Because of the bugs - permacombat once engaged, not being able to call off pet, or while it was coming to me it was still being hammered to incap - I feel that 100/100 is some recompense. I never had to use a vitality pack before the CU, as I looked after all my pets as good professional should.

2 - The token for 5 pets would be greatly appreciated as the grind to reach a capable pet is - as someone else has mentioned, as bad as grinding Jedi which is something most CH will not be doing as they love the profession too much to give it up. We had pets with specials before this mess - it is only giving back a little of what they took away.

3 would be nice - but if we can only have 1 make it number one. If we can have two, then the first 2.

They have fixed some bugs with this publish so repairs can be done - and are appreciated. Now lets see some fairness for the cranky old vets who still feel badly done to - because they were.

The new system gives some good content for ch - but the grind is going to take some of the fun away. I would like to be grouping with friends and enjoying my game in my usual relaxed way, in the template i have had for 2 years. Not be worrying about tame and grind, tame and grind.

So - perhaps make the xp amounts more manageable so it can be achieved in days and not weeks for each of our established pets. For the novice this will all come naturally - for the vets it will be very hard work, and takes away that choice we have of which pet to use for which situation. Now it will be one - and work it till its "mature"

Good work Ko

I definately agree #3 would rock. After having been MCH for 2 year i would appreciate the thought. Besides after the great CU purge, lol i should be rewarded for my continuing loyalty and my 30 Bucks a month

Yay, but what I really would like is for them to randomly select skills for em or let us choose em hehe My pooor kimo won't have any goodies, my 65 varactyl either. But restoring 100 vit is a start I tried hard to keep my pets well but some are 98 or 96 when non death blowing animals attack! News at eleven!

FIRE BREATHING PETS!!!! How awesome would that be. LOL my Ancient Reptilian Flyer would be fiercer.

So is it really true to level high level creature you have to for example do 30k per level depending on the pet? I have a level 66 Graul and i could have sworn it was really high. Tough, but fun.

Hey i have an unrelated question...how do you get your sig back in the forums? I lost mine

Well being an ancient MCH with some very old pets, I am in a bit of a quandary too. I have been long over doing most missions. I pulled out a couple of pets last night to try it and give them some exp - and figured out OMG I'm going to have to run a crapload of missions to give them any skills. I was hoping that I could kill several birds at once and combine taming for exp and abilities with getting pet exp - but we all know that getting 1 exp for most things gets us nowhere. I have 2 level 65, a 60, 59, and 6 level 50+ critters on my pad....that will take for bloody ever to give them any skills. That is not what I had hoped to be doing the next 6 months of playtime.

So I agree that the old pets need some loving or skills. How it happens I don't care

I like any of the 3. However, I think the most fair is to make existing full grown pets be fullt matured. I agree that it will still take a very long time to just find all the pets with the specials little alone learn to teach them. But I am willing to go for it. I started alst night, got 3 im working on. But even after I learn these specials I will not be able to teach any of my existing pets. I have 2 lvl 32 pets. All the rest are lvl 50 - 70. That is a c??? load of grinding. Mind you all these pets already knew 2 specials before the CU broke them.
